@@Lamtitude was trash anyway. 5.0 on a f150 does not sound the same as a 5.0 mustang gt. Plus I never really liked the truck anyway, had it sit for 22 days, or 21 days at times. Not petty, just making a smarter decision by selling it. BOOM
I put a flowmaster 40 series and kept the resonator. Its perfect for me. It sounds closest to the Borla. No drone, not raspy but that borla was a little louder and sounds a little better.. It does have the occational pop and snarl that sounds better than the Borla so its a toss up. Its funny my shop was just like this guy, pressuring me to take off the resonator. But I did my research. you need a 50 or 70 series delta flow to do that (and not get drone).
I have a 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it with 140,000 miles on it and still going strong and its a beast and it sounds like a beast with the Borla ATAK.

1st gen 5.0 is 2011 to 2014, second is 2015 to 2017 and 3rd is 2018 to 2020. 4th gen is 2021 and up, its completely redesigned. But your truck will sound amazing with a Muffler and resonator delete, my friend had one 1st gen 5.0 F150 with no muffler and resonator and it sounded godly. Hope this helps friend

It'll be just as loud but you'll have a much better experience because your 5.0 doesn't have cylinder deactivation. The burbling sound when it drops to 4 cylinders kills me on my 2021 5.0.

@tmichell66 I have a 14 gen one and all I did was stock after the resonator into a y pipe to make it duals out the rear and I would say it's the best exhaust job I ever had done by far

I actually like the sound of my 15 5.0 just cutting the muffler off and replacing that with a straight pipe sounds mean and not that loud Pretty Sad, that 2020 with less than 300 miles and the rear-end is rusted and spots on the frame what a joke from the factory
More of a joke on the dealer. They probably live in the rust belt and didn’t wash it in the winter. I have a 2014 F150 daily driver, never garaged with 100,000 miles on it in STL with zero rust on the body and barely any on the chassis. No matter who the manufacturer is, you have to take extra care up North if you want to prevent rusting.

Every snow storm that misses us here in STL either hits up north around Wisconsin and Minnesota or southern Missouri. It felt like we had a force field around us the last 2 years, with the exception of a 2 big storms.
Ford parked a bunch of them out in the grass at Kentucky motor speedway for months on end and some of them were sitting in puddles of water. Then sells them to ppl for 70 grand, complete bs
@Lamtitude Exactly mate, I'm St.Louis Missouri as well and I have a 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it with 152,000 miles on it and still going strong and we just repair all of the rust repair on my truck as well as undercoat it not too long ago and man it looks like a brand new truck.
So he spent all that money on a beautiful stainless Borla exhaust and cut half of it off and replaced it with shitty steel booger welded pipe? Brilliant.

So much trashy raspy shit that will be loud from miles away. Hate that stuff. So few do tasteful exhausts that add tone and depth without just making it a loud fart can. Not the shop's fault, but the customers' for sure.
These trucks are hard to get right. key to these, keep a resonator. Especially if running headers. because these engines are raspier than hell.

Got the muffler deleted, kept the resonator and y piped to make it dual in the back, perfect sound.

#5 Why buy the Borla Touring if you really wanted the ATAK? The touring sounds great. It's just one notch above stock.

Currently have that on my dad's 2015 F-150, it's way too quiet for me, but I can't complain about it XD (I'd rather have a Corsa on it tbh)

No it was not. It has the F150 badge on the left side of the Tailgate and not imprinted across the tailgate. Definitely a 2017
