I just love the fact of it being quiet enough for being able to daily drive it without having any drone but it’s got a really good sound to it when you get on it without it being obnoxious.
I have the borla S type on my 2020 F150, 5.0. Dual outlet, black tips. Money well spent. It accomplished everything in an exhaust system I was looking for. Aggressive on acceleration, but settles down nicely while cruising. The cold starts settle down pretty quick, though it'll definitely get your attention. In my opinion, it's a perfect balance. Even under mild acceleration, it has a nice growl, but it absolutely roars when you stab it. Drone is completely under control, and isn't the least bit annoying. Borla absolutely nailed it with the S type. No regrets installing it on my truck whatsoever.
@@rubenvasquez5392 Not at all, but I work as an automotive repair tech and have access to a lift and tools. That being said, it's still a relatively easy task. I installed my exhaust extremely early into the ownership of my truck, so there were no rust issues to deal with whatsoever. Having a set of helping hands (which I didn't have at the time of installation) would certainly be a plus. It's pretty much plug and play, really. Just make sure all your pipes are properly aligned before you snug the clamps, and you're good to go.
@@rubenvasquez5392 It's 100 percent bolt on, and everything you need will be supplied in the exhaust kit. One thing though, and this is why I mentioned the rust thing. The two bolts that hold the factory resonator to the cat assembly need to be reused once you drop the exhaust. They'll come out plenty easy on a newer truck with little or no rust. That's one of the main reasons I did the exhaust pretty soon after I purchased my truck. Living in Pennsylvania, the winter season here can do wonders for rusting nuts and bolts together.
just got this installed on my 17 f150, had the old exhaust off and new one on in a hour. couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. nice and quiet when it needs to be but doesn’t sound stock and sounds amazing when you get on it. 10/10 recommend this kit well worth the money.
Just a thought...his exhaust sounds awesome, but the corsa exhaust or the roush exhaust. All 3 sound great, but definitely a different rasp and tone out of both...but again, no complaints on how his sounds.
Sounds Great!!..but I'm kinda partial to my Roush exhaust paired by a stage 2 whipple supercharger...but I'd love to hear how that sounds under a supercharged F150.

My neighbors be a pain and I work late nights so they be tripping on my music cause it be at volume level 6… tired of arguing with the neighbors over dumb stuff about my trucks and cars.
I want this so bad. But the loud cold starts make me hesitate. I get up for work at 4am and I doubt any of my neighbors would want to be woken up every day like that… 😮
I’m in the same boat right now..some of the clips you see online are pre 2021 models and Borla changed the exhaust setup at that point. If you look at the promo videos you can see none of the pre 2021 have resonators and I’m hoping that makes a difference… possibly ordering mine today 🥴
Sounds great and I’m sure the video doesn’t even do it justice. When installing an exhaust on these trucks is there anything else you’re supposed to do? Such as a tune or anything fancy to make sure it works properly? Or do you just slap the exhaust on and it’s all good to go
The cold starts are aggressive, but it settles down pretty quick. It's not unusual for me to be on the road around 3 in the morning to go surf fishing, and I've never had any type of complaints from my neighbors about the exhaust noise. It's easily one of the best exhaust systems on the market for a 5.0 f150
Would you still pick this setup over the Borla Atak? I’m deciding between the two, seems like atak is littler raspier on the higher end than the S Type, and atak is louder
The S Type sounds much better the the Atak imo. My buddy has the Atak on his and sounds a bit obnoxious and not as refined as the S type. But he's a young fellow and all he wants is LOUD. The S Type is a really nice balance. I ran the S Type on my 5.0 Mustang and loved it. Am about to order the side exit S tyle for my 22' F-150 that I pick up on Monday. I don't think you'll be disappointed with it. Cheers
@@yourcarguydave1699 hey Dave do you notice when you get on the highway with the exhaust when the cylinder deactivate kicks in ? And if so how does that sound ? Thanks!

You can definitely notice when it kicks in. But I don’t mind it knowing that I’m saving some gas here and there. That’s what I love about the 5.0. If I baby it then I can get 23 combined mpg. But one switch to sport mode she comes out to play 😎
Were your windows open during the interior part of the video? Borla claims no drone at any speed, RPM or gear but I did hear it. Can you make a video of it with windows closed please???

I just got a 2022 5.0L with a single exit. Was it difficult adding the dual exhaust?

Just seen this on Facebook for 80 bucks and then I seen this video. I NEED to get it asap. Best sounding muffler and met my standards

@@josemunoz7368 no they came welded
Definitely sounds like the best offering from Borla if your looking for noticeable but not completely obnoxious.
It sounds way better than it does on their own website
I just installed the whole catback system on a 2020 f150 and oh man does it sound really good, im impressed!
Honestly sounds better than a mustang it got that deep growl 🔥🔥
It's soooooooooo good
I dig that color on that truck
Sounds awesome Dave!
Have the same, but split rear on my 2022. Love it, excellent choice!
Can’t beat it!

Did u delete the resonator as well? Or just added the S type muffler?
Your video helped with my decision. I just placed my order with stage3 who I found the best price from.
Sounds beautiful man
Sounds awesome 👌
Thanks Rodney

Very nice truck

@@BoostedBoydhow much did this exhaust run u about?
I’m thinking about it m..obviously it’s the 5.0 but I’m scared my gas mileage will go down and I’d be all around a little harder on it
Will the 15-20 Borla S type fit a 21/22 f150?!

Great video. I was on the fence between this and the Carven but you settled it. Thanks!
Glad I could help!
great video! u still like that exhaust?
Do you have cylinder deactivation? Have you noticed any sound difference with it if you do ? Thank you in advance
Awesome truck did you leave the resonator or remove it
Yes there’s a resonator with the kit. Didn’t want it to be obnoxious. Sounds perfect
what did it do for power? did it give you ant extra ponies that you can feel?
Not really nothing I can notice. I did it for the sound!
Any of you notice a difference in sound when cylinder deactivation is on im putting on the atak Thursday and seem a few posts about it
Just awesome 😎
Thank you so much 😀
Can I ask how much is the system I'm in Australia and looking at importing one...
This is with a resonator that came in the kit, correct?
Any problems with oil consumption after using the exhaust?
It sounds great. Is there a "cylinder deactivation delete" available for the 5.0 yet?
Not to my knowledge. There may be something on forscan but I’m not sure. Going to sport mode turns it off for sure

What color is your truck?
How much was that system
How’s your drone at 1600-2000 rpm? I got a flowmaster fx and it’s loud inside
I also did a flowmaster FX swap and the 1800-1900 RPM above 65 is the worst gurgle and low drone. Curious is the s type is quiet in that range
There is no drone in this system. Love it!

Highly doubtful
