Can you help me? Not sure if mechanic knows what he’s doing, I’ve had suspension and shocks changed a couple of years ago. Then my steering wheel would go in and out of being loose at regular speeds of 60kms, then they changed the pump, which fixed the steering feeling of intermittent looseness, but the fluid was leaking, so then they changed the rack. Don’t really hear any noises as such, though one time I did here a bit of a squeak as turning, and occasionally hear a clunk when trying to park and back into a space. Only driven 200 kms since it was done a couple of weeks ago? Do you think they’ve put the rack in wrong? Lose? Or why am I feeling it go wobbly everything I hit a rough patch. Sometimes feels loose as I’m driving straight at a faster speed 80kms. I’m worried they’ve not done it properly , so not sure whether to take back to them, or whether to take to someone new, who’s then going to give me a list of new things to change? Warped brake rotors will cause that at higher speeds....
Will they cause the wheel to vibrate at highway speed even if your not pushing the brakes?
It was in my front wheel had to change it, but could probably have swapped it with the rear tire
What would it be if it happens more when decelerating but not breaking, but upon acceleration it doesn’t.
On highway speeds only
I have same problem, 60 to 70 shaking, under acceleration (going up a hill) i let off things smooth out. replaced front axles, plugs, coil packs. nothing changed!! changed oil in front axle.
you think the tires are going out of balance like you said!?!? they are old and need to be replaced
Could be your transmission
2016 Hyundai Elantra got my tires rotated, realigned, and flipped but still shaking around 65mph. Tire shop I took it to is good but they don’t seem to know the issue. Maybe something more mechanical than what they do?
What causes it to shake? Like do you hit the gas and it happens or brake or just cruise and it does it
Petersiksmotors it's when you hit the gas because I have a 2017 Elantra as well and I feel the same way!
I have this exact problem on my Tundra TRD pro and people keep telling me it’s bad shocks. I have bilstein 5100’s and they show no signs of leaking and suspension still feels really tight.
Did you get this fixed? I just had TRD pro wheels & Falkens put on my low mileage GX470 and it shakes at 60, was just fine before on stock wheels…took it back to the shop today and they rebalanced the tires, but I still have the same issue. Pretty frustrated after having spent this much…
@@jcman240 yes sir so far all I needed to do was get new tires.
would a 2-3 inches height on tire size cause any vibration??? went from 225/70r16 to 225/50r17... almost 3 inches heright difference.
Nah but it will but a slight bit of pressure on your car
My car shakes between 60-64 mph on a highway corner or straight highway on those speeds it’s a Lexus es 350 F sport 2022
When I first start the car it shakes at idle, and then as you accelerate at between 50 you can hear a weird humming noise, does your shake also when you first turn on the car?
That humming could be the wheel bearing.
so what was the fix? all i heard was talking
Hi brother I just made a 6 "RC, new 35s on 20x12 wheels and tires, but I have a problem, when I pass 65 mph it starts shaking 70+ is worse, with your experience Do you think it is a problem with the RC suspension or with a new alignment and balancing will solve the problem?
Definitely check the balance and give it a good alignment for a good first start and just make sure everything is tight as well
It’s gotta be that damn lift cause I’ve done the alignment and balance rotation. The name says it all Rough 😭
StockControl arm
@@ericjoeesquivel6374stock arms or RC arms
Did you figure out you’re vibration? I too have a RC lift with the same vibration problem.
I wish u was my mechanic
You’ll find a good one don’t worry!
I have a 2010 Chevy traverse and my driver wheel shakes when I hit 70
My steering wheel starts to shake at 75 mph and gets worse at higher speeds. Also the floor vibrates terribly too at higher speeds
Axles are the first to look at there but make sure tiers are balanced
So what was the problem with this Chevy ?
When you say axle are you talking about drive shafts or what? I have a truck that while I was about 2 hour into a trip on the freeway I got a bad floor vibration I haven’t been able to find the cause but if I say under 50 everything is fine
Check the drive shaft and also look at the carrier bearing if it’s a 2 peice drive shaft
check your U-joint its really easy to replace yourself
He actually sounds like Steve Carell 😅
Humm mine was caused by bad tie rod ends .
Elantra 2008 : I have Vibration at 50 to 60 mph. I started with motor mounts, then struts, then rear shocks, then sway bar link, then lower arm with new ball joints, then front sway bar bushing, then and last the front cv axles, and still the same shit. fuel is good, the car accelerates good, never stall. Any good idea, please. Thank you.
--- Note: new tires, new balance, rebalance, alignment, and whole new brakes. The bearings are perfect.
Roll the Elantra off a cliff and that should solve the problem. Hyundai has come a long way since the 80s but still garbage cars in many ways.
@@stevomcsteve9492 I don't believe your belief, sorry. I don't trade my Elantra 2008 for any brand at all. You can put my Elantra 2008 between Toyota, Mazda, Honda, Nissan, BMW, or any American car brand new and I don't trade it. in fact not even for free. ja,ja,ja,ja I had them all
I hear vibration from passenger side. I started to change parts. I ended up changing both front bearings and all four drive axle joints. I've changed tires. Shaking is still the same. I know its definitely right side of the car, because the right read mirror shakes that much that I cant see what's in it. I cant figure this out. Any suggestions guys?
Have you tried unplugging it?
Dammit DWIGHT
@@Petersiksmotors Ah, humor. I have it too.
Mine does it from 30mph-60mph
Hi Peter, When I go 70-80 MPH, my steering wheel shakes/vibrates when accelerating only. When I let go of the pedal, the shaking seems to stop. I balanced all 4 tires twice and it helped but did not go away. Would it be the axle, as the mechanic can't figure it out? If it is the axle, what should I tell the mechanic for what needs to be done. Thanks in advance.
More than likely the axle but are you sure the rims not bent too?
Petersiksmotors I asked them to check the rims and they said they are not. So I would need to maybe check that too. What would I tell the mechanic ?
Hello there did you have any luck with the shaking
Mine shakes at 70 and makes a noise kinda loud
What about when u get the shacking when u break going 45-65 front driver tire
probably a warped rotor
Your rotors, change them
Do a rotor and pad replacement. $100 and brakes are always worth it
I have vibration in floorboard and gas pedal under acceleration. My axles are brand new.
0:29 shocks ?
I replaced front struts, sway bar links, control arms, and axles still shakes the faster I go the more noticable it is regardless of rpm or acceleration/deceleration did alignment like 3 times and balancing still nothing 2012 Ford fiesta this shit is killing me
Did you check to see if you have Bent rim
