I’m back, I did it, I’m here!! I joined an SMP with one of my closest friends and we’re starting our own, I’m doing way better mentally and I’ll hopefully be back in another 10 months to be even prouder of myself.
I mean, I was one of those who stayed in Minecraft during it's dark age, and I still feel nostalgic somehow, because I never focused on the music ever since the first time, and now it reminds me of the time I played with all of my friends and how much fun we had. Until one by one, they didn't come back. I remember so vividly the last one to leave, he stayed for years and suddenly he stopped, eventually, it also lead to our fall out, it's not that we hated each other, we just stopped hanging out. But I still think about those times. So I mean, yeah, you're right, even if I can get nostalgic for a game I never stopped playing, I can't imagine how it will be when I do stop.
Aqua wasn’t lying, this really was the perfect way to end a decade. I remember watching this on the 31st of December 2019, I didn’t know how much was about to change. Why I choose to believe this is because at the end of all this, I see prospering. During 2022, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. While she is the strongest woman I've ever known and probably will remain that until I die, I can tell that she isn't the same as before. The suffering she endures tires her, she grows weary of it, and it saddens me to se her in such conditions. But I believe that only through persevering through such calamities can you see the light on the other side. Whether that is through the stillness of death or life's continuation I don't care. That's a pretty true quote. I often thought of Infection game mode on MC Classic online when the servers went down and tried to find a replacement, but there were very few. Even now, over 8 years later, I still think about it and it sucks that it literally is just a memory. All that's left are 1 or 2 modern Infection servers in existence which just don't hit the same as MC Classic servers did.
Something similar happened to me in another game. I started playing it about 10 years ago and I met that one player who became my first in-game friend. One day after finishing raiding the dungeon we said our goodbyes as usual. Haven't seen my friend after that. I still play that game and check from time to time if my friend has logged in. Sad but well, people move on.

I used to play mc on a sh*tty 2004 Dell laptop... Man, I miss my old world. Me and my brother shared it, he built a castle out of obsidian using the nether portal dupe glitch.. I thought it was super cool at the time, even though it was just a massive black cube. Hell, even our first house was cool. It was just a block of hollowed out water in the ocean, we didn't even have walls on it bc water didn't flow inwards... I built a little house using gold tools, even though my brother said they were a waste of gold, it was surrounded by oak trees on a little beach made of gravel. The inside was pure dirt, but I had a wooden door and a couple of chests filled with pork chops... We played before they added hunger and jungles, and my brother asked my dad to make a server so we could play together.. better times man. Better times.

I remember so vividly the last one to leave, he stayed for years and suddenly he stopped, eventually, it also lead to our fall out, it's not that we hated each other, we just stopped hanging out. That's a pretty true quote. I often thought of Infection game mode on MC Classic online when the servers went down and tried to find a replacement, but there were very few. Even now, over 8 years later, I still think about it and it sucks that it literally is just a memory. All that's left are 1 or 2 modern Infection servers in existence which just don't hit the same as MC Classic servers did.

I used to play mc on a sh*tty 2004 Dell laptop... Man, I miss my old world. Me and my brother shared it, he built a castle out of obsidian using the nether portal dupe glitch.. I thought it was super cool at the time, even though it was just a massive black cube. Hell, even our first house was cool. It was just a block of hollowed out water in the ocean, we didn't even have walls on it bc water didn't flow inwards... I built a little house using gold tools, even though my brother said they were a waste of gold, it was surrounded by oak trees on a little beach made of gravel. The inside was pure dirt, but I had a wooden door and a couple of chests filled with pork chops...
We played before they added hunger and jungles, and my brother asked my dad to make a server so we could play together.. better times man. Better times.

I have several world with unfinished builds that I was working on with my friends that I can't bring myself to delete. We stopped playing together when we all went to different high schools.

Every now and again I wish I could go back in time, not to change anything but just so I could relive all my emotions and truly enjoy them.
Those were the days when I was truly happy. How I miss them..
And they made their responsibility to bare, especially stampy. They never milked us for views, they never acted like there were only adults watching. They taught us valuable lessons. I have so much respect for them.

I don’t know why it feels so different. I mean, it’s basically just a new year but it’s like an end of an era. Childhood, growing up, playing games until late in the night, having your first crush, partys and whatsoever. It was an amazing time, i don’t regret one single minute living in it and knowing these times will never come back literally puts me into tears. It’s been a great time, but many adventures are yet to come. Guys, enjoy the last day of 2019, keep it safe ! ❤️
It's sad to think that one day, probably without us even knowing, we will play Minecraft for the last time. We'll join our game and maybe build a house, chop down a tree, tame a wolf, then leave not expecting that we won't be back. I think about that day a lot. I've noticed myself drifting from the game but I know it's always going to be remembered to us as a large part of our childhood. Thank you Minecraft. I appreciate you.

I still play minecraft to this day. Been playing since 2011, but I have noticed I've been playing less and less. Minecraft defined my childhood.
Minecraft was part of the reason I am where I am now. I had a spike where I stopped playing but I've been playing it more as of recently, I scroll through the friend lists on each server wondering "Will they ever come back?" And log off without a response to myself. Life isn't about the troubles you face, it's about the journey & how it ends
After college, or the military, get back on, let the loading screen sink in.. feeling the nostalgia flow through your head and down to your knees. You think about all the memories & builds you made, wondering if that'll ever be the case again.
