If the Groundhog's Day looping had successfully repaired the Loom this episode would have been the most Whovian Who that ever Who-ed. When Loki was running around tapping buttons and spouting techno-babble at a mile a minute, the only thought on my mind was "He's the Doctor. I am literally just watching the Doctor now." But then the show said "Absolutely not. You are watching the origin story of a NORSE GOD" and chucked all the machinery into space to plant the roots of Yggdrasil.
Yes I think that caught everyone by surprise that they threw the science out the window. It's like in ep 5, I was shocked that the time slipping could be controlled as since s1, I thought it was a glitch. That's when the story got immediately more godly than just being a Dr who character.
I love how the only thing that changes plot-wise for the first 45 minutes of the finale is Loki's character. He isn't able to change anything about the actual situation, but he does get valuable advice and perspectives, and he uses it to make decision at the end of the episode.
That's actually really cool. I didn't realize. The effort they put into character and plot over CGI battles really paid off into a gorgeous and love-made show.
Loki is what happens you give great writers & directors creative freedom to take a story where they see fit. Some of the things they did in the final few eps left me in awe.
@@MrSneakSneak Nah, creative freedom is as much important. Higher ups at Marvel thend to mess with the plot and that's a problem too, because that unplanned messiness is then seen on screen. For example writers didn't plan for Kang to be defeated in Quantum Mania. Imagine how differently that show would have been viewed by fans (although I didn't had a problem with this personally, knowing it's a multiversum with no shortage of Kangs XD)
@@MrSneakSneak no, great writers exist and work on movies all the time. but all that effort is wasted when they're fired and studio hire someone else to rewrite the script. just look at marval and DC movie. they change directors and main writers way to many times.
How sure are you on the Kang being defeated? I remember a vocal writer for quantumania who was fired from Kang dynasty for being so open about how he wanted the movie to be (light hearted, comedy). It honestly feels like they are giving lots of creative freedom to the writers and directors. Look at shows and movies like secret invasion, the Marvels, Moon Knight, Wandavision, she hulk, Thor Love and thunder... All have distinct styles and with confirmation of the commentary from the directors, they got to explore their vision of the characters as either stupid and pandering or well written and performed in the final product with marvel just kind of letting the failure happen.
Season 2 might just be the best thing to come out of the Multiverse Saga! The acting, the VFX, the action sequences, the consistent character writing! My only complaint is that I would've wanted to see his variants again. Especially Kid Loki since every single member of the Young Avengers are all introduced! Also, Loki and What If make me wonder what other alternate reality spinoffs we could get from different franchises!
lol no, the whole reason why there inconsistent character writing is because of the multiverse. writer dont know how the character is going to be in future movie. so their growth is not "permanent". and why loki character writing consistent (relatively) is because they dont need to care how it will fit into future movie. God loki and tva is out of (main) universe and time. they wont play any role in any conflict due to how op they are. loki can stop time and redo everything whenever without any limitation at all.
I felt that the romantic aspect of the show didn't disappear, but had shifted to more of a breakup tone. Awkward to be around, struggling to have a conversation that doesn't end in an argument, it was to me a very natural subversion of my expectations, and really fit in with the tone and theme Season 2, longing for the former days, wishing we could go back. Lovely stuff.
im so thankful they dropped the romance between Sylvie and Loki. at the end of episode 2 of S2, i think he has a realization, and just lets Sylvie go, and moves on from that. and im happy about it. sure, i guess Loki can fall in love with someone. but more importantly, he needs friends. he needs people to love and care for, but not romantically. which is why i thought Mobius's and Loki's little friendship was so sweet, same with his other friends. Mobius saw something in him that no one else did. he gave him the chance to be a good person. and it really worked out. honestly, the entire concept of this show, like the TVA, and every single character in it, i just absolutely love. the writers, composers, actors, just everyone, did an amazing job. in my opinion, LOKI is the best thing since Endgame, and no one can change my mind otherwise
Whilst there were a couple of episodes that did nothing to move the plot forward. I feel Loki S2 was some of the best MCU since Endgame. It's finale was great, but shows that the series as a whole should have been at this level. But I believe that the fact has been that most MCU entries since Endgame have been subpar. But I also have to note that there has been interference from Marvel executives. I saw a pirated version of The Marvel's. My god did that suck more than a Dyson. The only thing that was remotely decent was Ms Marvel, her family and the cats.
I've seen a lot of people say that Ep6 retroactively made the middle episodes a lot better. There were definitely lulls, and there wasnt always a focused direction about where the series was going, until episode 6 wrapped everything up so well.
I think the best part about Loki is when you realize by saving the multiverse Loki isn't just saving his friends at the TVA, but he is infact saving everyone he's ever loved or cared for, including Thor. More than just ensuring their lives will go on, Loki is ensuring they would've ever existed in the first place, if Loki hadn't saved the multiverse, not only would everyone he loved be dead, but Thor, Odin, Frigga, would have never existed in the first place since there would've been no realities for them to exist within. Loki didn't just save his new friends, he saved all those he ever cared for, past, present, and future.
It is in my opinion that Loki had what it takes to be a prime candidate as the backbone of MCU after Iron Man. Especially with phase 4/5 being about multiverse and timelines and stuff. Just him doing small cameos in post credits doing TVA shenanigans would have a nice narrative tool to connect the shows together.
One of my favorite parts of this show is that it looks good. It has a fresh and unique style that doesn't look like every other bland churned out mcu movie after endgame.
I instantly thought of Doctor Who and this channel when the final episode hit, Loki's final adventure was the most Doctor Who thing ever and I absolutely loved it. But unlike Doctor Who, since Loki is a serialized miniseries, it could jump around the timeline of the entire show rather than the kind of isolated timey-wimey scenario you'd see in something like Heaven Sent or Big Bang/Pandorica Opens. As for the MCU as a whole, if there is a "problem" with it right now it is just that there is too much of it. Avengers 4 felt like a proper ending for a lot of people and there is no gimmick that will make people care about the MCU as a collective thing again like we did before 2019. The initial Disney+ shows benefited from the fact that the world went a FULL YEAR WITH ZERO MCU CONTENT. And I think in the short term, that is the only thing that could make people stop saying the MCU is in a slump. Marvel didn't release anything for a while people would be starved for content instead of complaining about it.
When it comes to the doctor who, thing I agree with you. But it comes to the other Marvel stuff, I don't. For me, Marvel's primary problem is just a lack of quality control. Same thing for Star Wars. Disney is so adamant about making a buck. It's actively shooting itself in the foot in the long run.
@@williamburnett3660 I think if you cut the amount of Marvel/Star Wars shows in half the perception of their quality would increase with no actual changes to the content. This is especially true for the MCU. So many MCU shows drop on Disney+ that you can feel caught up with the movies without ever going to the theater. But what if we only got a max of two each year rather than them being churned out to keep people subscribed.
If they do a Thor and Loki movie, I really want to see them finally commit to a more mythic, bloody, old-Norse aesthetic and world. Jason Aaron’s God of Thunder worked so well (so much better than a lot of his later work, even) because it so adeptly conveyed the titanic scale and poetic world of these characters. Virtually all of our sources on the Norse gods are poetry and they really do have a lot of beautiful material to mine for these characters.
The more he started ragging on it the more I started to realize it was probably gonna be a joke. I was like “no way he saw all the good character work and didn’t like it” am sure enough I was right.
I would love a thor and loki movie but i just know that would be a massive risk. Not only because loki has overshadowed Thor for long to the point where in Ragnorok they downplayed lokis role in order for thor to shine. Chris H would never agree to a movie of them two knowing Tom could outshine him because hes the better actor. I think next Thor movie with be him vs Hercules and then they team up. Loki will.appear in Secret wars, maybe mentioned in Kang Dynasty if thats still happening. Mobius has to come back, hes such a good character and clearly the multiversal version of Coulson.
Commenting before I even watch the video... Loki season 2 is MUCH watch. It's just a solid show and a great continuation from season 1. Don't think about the rest of the MCU being mid as of recent. This is its own show, elevating at a level clear above anything else on Disney+ and is a benchmark for what a marvel show needs to be going forward. Similar to Andor for Star Wars.
It's pretty, but it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Kang is still out there, Loki is now Thanos, but even worse, but we're supposed to think he's redeemed as he extinguishes countless lives on a complete whim? OK.
When Full Fat is going this hard on the MCU you know you’re in trouble. He’s been waaaaay more forgiving than Drinker, Mauler, etc. I’ll be honest, I put Loki on as background chatter and was surprised it had as much heart as it did.
Ditching the romance plot is probably the reason why the original director from season 1 left the show. I don't blame her. Marvel is one of those think tanks that try to appeal to everybody yet still fuck up somehow
I agree, Loki gave me full on Doctor Who vibes at times, and those were typically some of the best parts of the show! Tom Hiddleston has proven time and again that he would be perfectly cast as the Doctor ! I hope it happens one day...
I wanted him so badly to be announced as the next doctor after David Tennent's brief reprisal, but here's hoping they give him the chance after Ncuti is done
after watching The Marvels and Loki i am sure.... Marvel Released The Marvels right before Loki Finale to lessen the damage it will get lmao.. seriously The Marvels feel like half-baked movie that chopped and re-assembled in post production while Loki genuinely felt as a fully fleshed fully realized show
Loki is the only MCU story worth watching after Endgame since it perfectly ties to the Infinity Saga and now the Multiversal Saga. Overall, Loki, Mobius, and Ouroborus are the MVPs of the Loki show because of how fun, funny, and interesting they are as characters.
Loki especially season 2 was amazing in my opinion. We got to see something that never happened in either of the films Loki has been in,actual growth of his character. And we now understand why he didn't change all this time,it was because he wasn't allowed/meant to.We saw Loki in a new light, making the ultimate sacrifice for everyone,so they could live their lives, breeding life into every other timeline etc. In my opinion Thor the Dark World and this series are the best showings of Loki as a character. In the film we get to see how much he actually cared about and loved his mother and in the series we get to see him first watching it all transpire, his mother's death, his father's and brother's love for him,his own death. His growth began from Ep 1 of Season 1 and I was glued to my monitor. Great work from everyone involved in this series.
I haven't watched The Marvels yet so I don't know how bad it is or isn't but I feel that the "MCU is dead" thing is kinda funny. I mean, the one note villain is the MCU's bread and butter, everyone loves the first Iron Man but if the villain was played by any actor that wasn't in the Jeff Bridges category would he be considered a great villain? I understand that with the passing of the more popular heroes the "problems" that this kind of movies have stand out more but it's not like these problems never existed. Sure, there were some movies that could be considered really good outside of the genre but the same could be said for some of the phase 4 and 5 content only, somehow, these good shows or movies are considered now the exception. For me Loki and The Marvels (or Love & Thunder, since I've watched it) are equa parts of the same universe, if you want the good one you'll have to have the bad one too. Is that a bad deal? As long as the bad is entertaining enough and not corrupting our minds no, that's a good deal!
Also yeah, the fact that they were that confident in how they were ending his story tells you all you need to know about the quality put into this show
Andor was clearly going for a second season though. It’s final episode wasn’t rushed because it wasn’t actually trying to wrap up any overarching storylines. Loki had to bring itself to a definitive end
Honestly if they had leaned into more of Loki's actual relationships instead of just the new ones in the show I would've enjoyed it way more. Let him get closure with his father and brother, this is a Loki who is JUST recovering from being manipulated by an infinity stone and learning his whole life and everything his father told him was a lie. let him have a tearful reunion with thor and apologize for everything. Let him see Odin and have Odin tell him some of what he said in Ragnarok, tell him he was a true Asgardian and Odinson, tell him that he doesn't need to be defined by what he once was. Have Odin tell him what a lie really is. Tell him that the god of mischief is free to break free from the chains the universe is putting on him That legitimately would've made me love the series way more. I enjoy tom hiddleston, but it's not really "Loki" we see in this show, it's "original godlike character who is humbled #6," and it doesnt even seem interested in exploring his roots.
@@apersonwhomayormaynotexist9868 I also completely agree with this, BUT I think they'll save the Odinson family arc for the films. There's no way we're not getting a Loki / Thor reunion at some point. But I do agree - I loved how Loki's family dynamics tied in with Season 1 Episode 1, and would have been nice to have a few more nods to it, although there were a few sprinkled throughout the series.
I think we are looking at the MCU as the whole of comic books, while we should be looking at it as a run of a series in the comic books. We have been on this run for 16 years. Maybe it's time to tie off the MCU and say goodbye to it. And some time later we can start reading a new run of cinematic comic book movies.
Something I find interesting about the ending of Loki in regards to Kang is that it feels like the TVA is being set up as a potential way of nixing Kang as the next 'Big Bad' of the MCU. Like going forward they have the option to just go 'Yeah the Kangs WERE a problem, but the TVA took care of them.' Which would actually make sense, given the implications we got this season that the TVA was originally the army that HWR!Kang used to win the multiverse war against all his counterparts, so it tracks that they would be able to neutralize all of the new Kang variants popping up.
Yeah Sony has no idea how to get us excited for their universe. Cuz its so weird that in Spiderman trilogy they can do just fine but in their villain movies they just wont try harder
Love what you said about the Time Loom. For me, the Time Loom started out as a kind of meaningless challenge... but by the time I saw that last show, it was kind of great. It helped once I understood that the Time Loom was a giant meat grinder.
5:20 that quote, that desire from the writer to the develop characters is what makes great movies for me. It's why Iron Man, Captain America and Thor are the holy trinity of the Infinity saga, it's why Loki is the shining light from Thor 2011 to this post Endgame mess. Loki is the stand out alongside the Guardians of the galaxy. When characters are prioritised over spectacle and money we get Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War, the Gaurdians of the Galaxy trilogy, (Shang Chi an honourable mention post endgame of a great movie for me), Tobeys Spiderman, James Gunns Suicide Squad, The Batman and The Dark Knight Trilogy. When movies are rushed and micro managed for studio interests we get Josstice League, Captain Marvel, She Hulk, Suicide Squad and so many more duds
a fun theory is that the time slipping was planed from avengers 1 if you look at the fight between Thor and Loki in avengers 1 there is a brief moment at which Loki looks around with pity and confusion
Show was decent up a till that last episode which catapulted it into amazing. What a visual and narrative spectacle. Amazing work. It saddens me that it really helps puts the K dynasty into perspective and Disney may end up scrapping it anyway.
With all the Doctor Who commentary here I do feel its worth mentioning that Loki s1 director Kate Herron has been scooped up to be writing an episode of the upcoming DW season, so definitely on the same page with the similar vibes between the shows.
Years ago, when I read the Esad Ribic Thor comics, I really wanted to see something akin to them realized cinematically, unfortunately the fourth thor movie by taika which was heavily influenced by those comics, at least on the surface, failed at(or rather did not even attempt)recreating even a fraction of their atmosphere or tone, instead that property was sadly wasted on a junk comedy. But I think the last episode of loki came close to capturing that strange eerie folkloric scope in a classic sci-fi setting. it was surprisingly touching and melancholic without feeling cold or unfulfilling, which can often happen in stories dealing with time travel or free will or other head scratcher themes. The project felt like it was handled with care and effort. thumbs up from me
Brilliant show. Season 1 was great, loved every episode and every bit of it. How I do think Season 2 was a bit slow and Season 1 was slighlt better. Its still a great show with one of the MCU’s best arcs and MCU’s best conclusions to a character. 9.5/10. Very Very Rewatchable
As far as The Marvels go, I think the quantity of accusations of misogyny is overblown. I think most people are criticizing that vocal minority of misogynistic anti fans. From what I've seen, most people are fine with criticism as long as it isn't rooted in misogyny.
I’ll try to blow your mind more. Loki turned the time loom into Ygdrassil in the TVA in the end of time Meaning it has become reality since the beginning . So when the Odin tries to teach thor about the Ygdrassil to Loki and Thor as children it is because adult Loki creates it in the future and the whole MCU is because series Loki willed it so. Time Travel
And when Thor explains it to Jane in the first Thor movie, Loki is already there on his throne at the heart of the multiverse, outside of time, perhaps listening along to his brother...
I agree, the “selfcest” thing never made any sense to me. Isn’t that based on how morally wrong it is for people with the same genes to be an item? Not all Lokis have the same genes (does Alligator Loki and our Loki have the same genes? Ofc not)
I think a Thor and Loki movie may risk upsetting the perfect ending Loki got in this series. That said I would love for Thor to find Loki at the end of time in his next appearance and to choose to join him there and share the burden of eternity together. A nice book end for 2 brothers who never got along findigh solace in each others' company now they've lost everyone else dear to them. Also hopefully Loki will be less bored with this ending
Considering fans are despairing at Loki's fate to the point it has become a meme, I think it will be enough to create a super important setting that requires Loki to be involved and everyone will be on board with this XD
I don't assume someone is a bigot if they disliked The Marvels. But I am suspicious of people who claim it's the worst film ever. Most people will acknowledge it wasn't a great film, but let's not pretend there isn't a significant portion of the fandom who decries the movie for being woke despite zero socio-political messaging just because it has female leads. People who use terms like M-SHE-U. "Fine, I'll watch Loki," is my sentiment exactly. The multiverse stuff feels too un-grounded to be engaging, and the Loki heel-face arc has gotten old. Loki's sacrifice at the hands of Thanos felt like a satisfying conclusion to Loki's character arc. But I keep hearing that Loki is the savior of the MCU, so it may be worth a watch.
I’m just glad that the show gave an out for kang I just never felt him being as menacing as thanos. All other iterations of him handled his character far better than the mcu so it’s best to just look forward.
Would love to know what Morffet thought of this show and RTD. Bet they would have loved to write some of the eps if they had a chance. This show really did out Doctor Who in many ways. This really is top tier Marvel writing 👏 well done indeed 👌🏽
I have to give it to Loki over Wanda Vision, only because Wanda Vision played with a good handful of concepts I’d already seen done on Marvel’s Agents of Shield (season 4 especially). The way it felt like Marvel was either blatantly plagiarizing or completely unaware of itself was so uncomfortable for me, that I couldn’t get past it. Even with Wanda Vision’s beautiful design and acting. Just made me feel like the Marvel universe was falling apart behind the scenes and not part of a larger cohesive story anymore, which was so much of its initial appeal.
Thor & Loki movie YES. I hate endings though. Wrap up stories with happy endings, yes. But don't close the door. I want them to get their planet back, and for Thor to become the all father. But leave it open from there for new stories from Asgard, even if Thor is only playing a minor role like Odin did
To be honest, the first thing that came to mind after the last espoide was the phrase "the lonely god." It is a phrase often used in a doctor who and I think it fits here wonderfully. 7:53. I know in doctor who it mostly refers to how the doctor will not attach himself to others because he can't bear the loss, but Loki it refers to the idea that he is giving up eternity to save his friends. Loki has given up an opportunity to see his friends again. To be honest, I kind of prefer Loki version better. They are both lonely gods by choice but loki is so understanding and redeemable compare to the doctor who could be seen as villain for how salty they are towards their friends because they don't want to feel grief.
I really respect your opinion so I was just very curious when you said Loki was bad and wanted to know why you felt that way. Because while I loved it, I know it wasn't without its flaws and it's always good to hear other perspectives.
Personally loved this season, haven’t enjoyed much over the past few years but this was very refreshing. I think it’d be dope to see Thor n loki reunite but with that loki ending I think it would difficult to make that work anytime soon
Two fun facts, Hiddleston rewatched all of his scenes as Loki from the movies and the first season to prep for the role. Fact two: the team consulted McDonald itself to make sure that it was “authentic” the uniforms esthetic and building are accurate to the time.
I forgot who said it, but they didn’t see things as comparing the strengths and weaknesses of Season 1 vs Season 2, but rather Season 2 is the 2nd half of the show. Loki as a 12 episode show is Amazing with 2 great halves.
I liked season 1, but this season is the only MCU show that I wanted more of, in a good way. I would’ve loved one more filler episode, one more character, one more happy ending sendoff. But a show is better off too short than too long.
Well, I liked The Marvels. If that makes me a shill, then I guess I am. No, it's not perfect, there's plenty that can be fixed, but I very much enjoyed the character dynamics and much needed character development for Carol Danvers. I also had a few really good laughs which I don't know some of Marvel's more comedic ventures have done. While I liked Love and Thunder and Quantumania in the theater, they did not hold up very well, and maybe that will also be the case for The Marvels, but while those two seemed to promise more than they could end up delivering, The Marvels felt like it did deliver what was advertised, which was just a fun movie about three character meeting/reuniting and Fury petting a cat, and dammit, I got that movie, and enjoyed it.
i would love if the Thor and Loki plot is that Hela is still alive and they go looking for her but find here on the ruins of Asgard at the ass end of the universe and it's a "Rundown meets Dramedy" where they on their journey to escape a threat or try to get off the planet they're trapped on discuss there childhoods, life under Odin, their current events and by the end while I wouldn't say they are a family at the end but they've all made peace with each other cause really the one factor in their lives that leads to their current circumstances is Odin and just a comparison of each of the children and how they are based off Odin's Character: Hela (Power, ruthless, and ambition), Thor (Idealism, Honor, Temperance), & Loki (Cunning, Manipulative, and Flexibility). Also an end credit scene with Hela playing Aunt with Thor's daughter.
The Doctor Who influences are very clear and strong in the show, and in regards to Thor and Loki, I would even take just a short movie/feature. I just need to see Thor realize that Loki managed to live up to his potential, as he always believed he could.
Yeah but mainly because they clearly didn't want to make a show about Loki, they wanted to make a show about an original arrogant godlike character being humbled and learning a new lesson about his place in the universe. They literally do not visit a thor variant a single time in the entire show. Asgard's destruction, Loki's death, his mother's death, none of it matters to him in the slightest after a single shed tear. This is a good show but it is NOT a loki show
Loki has long been my favorite character but I'd rather never see him again than to have this great finale undone in another subpar Thor outing. Unless the MCU can prove they're able to produce movies that aren't an insult to their audiences I'd prefer to have this great arc intact. However, considering this seems to be the one thing people aren't hating right now, I know there's no way they don't bring him right back. I know Tom Hiddleston really loves the character and is excited to play him. I hope he has enough power to fight off anything too egregious that will leave fans feeling about Loki the way we felt about Fury after SI -- deflated and sad.
I think it was a good move to not focus on romantic love in season 2. Loki’s learning to love and care for people was wider than that.
There was a lot of backlash after season one about the romance, and about a "female" Loki even being in the show, so many cries of "Go Woke Go Broke"
Yeah I wish they would've at least talked about it more but I know that's tough when you have to fit everything into six episodes

I think this is the ultimate redemption, Loki started his journey with the same mindset as Kang - that he was the chosen one, he had a glorious purpose, he is a god that is above everybody, that a weaker being should follow the strong- In a way Loki fought against Kang is the same as him fighting the prefect version of his old-self and now he choose to be selfless and sacrifice himself for others... i truly believe that this is the prefect end for Loki
If the Groundhog's Day looping had successfully repaired the Loom this episode would have been the most Whovian Who that ever Who-ed. When Loki was running around tapping buttons and spouting techno-babble at a mile a minute, the only thought on my mind was "He's the Doctor. I am literally just watching the Doctor now."
But then the show said "Absolutely not. You are watching the origin story of a NORSE GOD" and chucked all the machinery into space to plant the roots of Yggdrasil.
Hahaha, definitely and I loved that so much :D He is now a gardener of yggdrasil :D
Yes I think that caught everyone by surprise that they threw the science out the window. It's like in ep 5, I was shocked that the time slipping could be controlled as since s1, I thought it was a glitch. That's when the story got immediately more godly than just being a Dr who character.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who caught how Whovian Loki was at the start of the episode!
Absolutely well said! XD
Have not watched the show but I was getting that Doctor Who vibe.
Loki is just a good show that happens to be an MCU show, and it's also anchored by some excellent actors.

Loki is what happens you give great writers & directors creative freedom to take a story where they see fit. Some of the things they did in the final few eps left me in awe.
You could just shorten your sentence to "Loki is what happens when you get great writers-"
@@MrSneakSneak go back to playing games loser
@@MrSneakSneak
no, great writers exist and work on movies all the time. but all that effort is wasted when they're fired and studio hire someone else to rewrite the script. just look at marval and DC movie. they change directors and main writers way to many times.

Loki actually felt like a main character again.
You're right, i think people forget they broke up as soon as they reached the citadel at the end of time when they argued about what to do with Kang.
im so thankful they dropped the romance between Sylvie and Loki. at the end of episode 2 of S2, i think he has a realization, and just lets Sylvie go, and moves on from that. and im happy about it. sure, i guess Loki can fall in love with someone. but more importantly, he needs friends. he needs people to love and care for, but not romantically. which is why i thought Mobius's and Loki's little friendship was so sweet, same with his other friends.
The problem with Loki is that it's tied to the MCU.
Honestly that's what makes it better.

Legion was sooo good
I loved Legion! That was amazing and so artsy!
Honestly, Loki acting as the new Nick Fury gathering heroes from across the multiverse to fight the kang war coming up sounds dope

A Thor & Loki project is #1 on my marvel wish list
I want them to reunite! Let the ‘sun on them!’ ☀️
I instantly thought of Doctor Who and this channel when the final episode hit, Loki's final adventure was the most Doctor Who thing ever and I absolutely loved it.
No EXACTLY!!! Episodes 5 and 6 went so hard, and I thought that they felt like some of the better Doctor Who episodes
This is the perfect ending for Loki. Best Marvel Show made.

Loki was so good that I almost forgot I was watching a marvel show
God damn you scared me with that intro lol.
OK.

after watching The Marvels and Loki i am sure....
I agree about the Who feel to Loki.
Just the fact that Loki just bothers to end makes it utterly superb compared to most MCU properties.
Also damn I reckon Tom Hiddleston would make a great Doctor
@@gagglegames Indeed he would, he's already a prime candidate simply because of how well he handles the technobabble

am i the only one to realize this is finally the first d+ show without a rushed finale, well actually this and andor
Andor was clearly going for a second season though. It’s final episode wasn’t rushed because it wasn’t actually trying to wrap up any overarching storylines. Loki had to bring itself to a definitive end
My favorite part is when odin shows up and says are you the god of knives or loki god of stories, I cried so much.
Tell him that the god of mischief is free to break free from the chains the universe is putting on him
That legitimately would've made me love the series way more. I enjoy tom hiddleston, but it's not really "Loki" we see in this show, it's "original godlike character who is humbled #6," and it doesnt even seem interested in exploring his roots.
ok this legit made me lol 🤣
Loki is still better than 95% of the MCU and the Sonyverse combined.
Lol. Take it easy 😂
Yeah Sony has no idea how to get us excited for their universe. Cuz its so weird that in Spiderman trilogy they can do just fine but in their villain movies they just wont try harder
Not a high bar for sonyverse to be fair lmao
Great review. I also appreciate the design on this one. some real sets, costume design that isn't over done... The cinematography was refreshing too.
Loki is one of my favorite TV shows ever, it's just too short... I'm happy other people like it too 😊
a fun theory is that the time slipping was planed from avengers 1
if you look at the fight between Thor and Loki in avengers 1 there is a brief moment at which Loki looks around with pity and confusion

My biggest complaint about Loki was how his development could’ve been fleshed out more naturally throughout the 2 seasons. Still the finale was gold

Loki turned the time loom into Ygdrassil in the TVA in the end of time
Meaning it has become reality since the beginning . So when the Odin tries to teach thor about the Ygdrassil to Loki and Thor as children it is because adult Loki creates it in the future and the whole MCU is because series Loki willed it so.

Loki is the new Tony Stark in so many ways
I agree with Thor & Loki, cuz they are both loveble characters, that if write with love, would make a great billion dollar movie
But he quite literally becomes the ‘saviour of the MCU’ by the end of this show!
Stfu lil bro it fucking sucks

amazing, imo… that the mythical trickster manages to complete the arc (e.g.: Prometheus, Shiva, Odin…)
I can imagine it now.
Thor and Loki: Thunder and Time.
Just made me feel like the Marvel universe was falling apart behind the scenes and not part of a larger cohesive story anymore, which was so much of its initial appeal.
suggestion for a title: Thor and Loki: Brothers Found
Thor & Loki movie YES. I hate endings though. Wrap up stories with happy endings, yes. But don't close the door. I want them to get their planet back, and for Thor to become the all father. But leave it open from there for new stories from Asgard, even if Thor is only playing a minor role like Odin did
Getting the Marvels and Loki Season 2 finale on the same day was amazing as the MCU gave us two great things in one day
To be honest, the first thing that came to mind after the last espoide was the phrase "the lonely god." It is a phrase often used in a doctor who and I think it fits here wonderfully.

I'd say amazing. If Loki was not in the MCU, it would've been epic

Loki show was so good, that if they'd make most useless spin-off about Mobius, I'd still watch it over other Disney+ shows
Loki has long been my favorite character but I'd rather never see him again than to have this great finale undone in another subpar Thor outing. I hope he has enough power to fight off anything too egregious that will leave fans feeling about Loki the way we felt about Fury after SI -- deflated and sad.
same. Thor 4 was a dissapointment
Random thing but the pie thing is probably a reference to MIB 3 another movie about time traveling
