  • I share my experiences growing this "fussy" begonia.
The thing is, this is a begonia that is relatively easy to grow, as long as you don't worry when it wobbles every so often.

I found a small plant in my local garden centre in the UK today and I had to have it! Thanks for the tips!

No worries, yes it seems a whole bunch of them are getting released slowly to UK nurseries, which is awesome. Hope it brings you loads of joy

Thanks for the tips! I recently found myself an owner of two of these that are just starting to regrow leaves. I’m aroids through and through and I’ve never owned a begonia. Many thanks, I feel so much more confident than I did 8:12 minutes ago 🤪

Much better than majority of the videos here on this plant. Even though i keep hearing propagation of this plant is easy I’m still nervous doing it. But I’ll be doing it to mine in a couple of days.

I just bought one from a local flower store ( in Sweden) and it's been doing great so far .... I'm really happy I found this rarity in a regular flower shop. I've read though that it is poisonous for cats and dogs...?

Thanks for this awesome video! Just got a gorgeous rooted cutting and put it in very well draining soil and a self watering pot with wick. New to the world of self watering pots but soil appears to remain pretty damp - any idea if this pot is a bad idea or not for this particular plant?

Mine keep doing really well then 100% of the leaves turn yellow. I cut right back and they have grown again. That's 2 so far (small plants) that have been in a terra and outside. Same thing happened.
I now have a bunch of well rooted cuttings to plant so I may make a third plant and experiment with different mediums.
I thought it might be because they flower and die but I see flowers on yours.
It's good to see they can actually grow though. 😂

Do I need to let a bit of air into the terranium or can I keep it permanently closed. I've got water droplets on the leaves and inside the glass. Thanks.

It's best to open or burp your prop boxes every couple days. And just because there is water on the lid doesn't mean that it's going to hurt your cuttings. It's going to happen no matter what, when you keep moisture locked in.
