  • With Avengers: Endgame coming around the corner, a couple of remarkable UA-camrs assembled and each made a video describing One Marvelous Scene from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I picked a moment from the original Guardians of the Galaxy. A scene that spoke to my soul.

And in Endgame Rocket tells Thor that he lost his family to the snap. He paraphrases Quill in telling Thor that we have all lost something. It was reminded us how much Rocket has changed and that he needed his family back.

I think this is why I really like Guardians, despite not knowing they were even part of marvel comics. Just seeing them all come together, despite all the shit, and emotional baggage they all had.

I've watched all of these One Marvelous Scene videoes and some of them are really good, but this one is incredible. James Gunn should see this, I think he's really appreciate how you analyse the film, and just the fact they you get it. I feel like you completely understand what this film is about and why it matters. Keep up the good work dude :)

Oooh! These comments have me pumped to watch this.
    ~Will edit comment after watching~
*EDIT:* WOW! Now _I_ am crying. Beautiful video. I am someone who can relate to the debilitating, horror that is loneliness. I remember scrolling through the contacts in my phone over, and over, and over, and over, again with the hopes of finding just ONE person to talk to or hang out with. All I wanted was someone beside me so I wouldn’t have to feel alone. I didn’t even necessarily want or need them to talk. I would have paid for them to see a movie or get coffee with me. After reaching out to anyone and everyone I knew, I had no one who wanted to stand up with me.
I love how personal this video is. I love how you and your five friends all looked at each other during that scene. And, how with nothing but watery eyes and silent recognition of who and what you were, an impactful moment of vulnerability, and connection became tattooed in your heart and your head. Powerful stuff, dude.
    P.S. Greetings from California♥️🌎
My favorite actor is Chilean. (Pedro Pascal from Game of Thrones)

I just recently, within the last day or two, spontaneously thought of this scene and looked for it on youtube because I wanted to see Drax say, perfectly as you pointed out, "You are an honorable man; I will FIGHT beside you. And in the end, see my wife and daughter again."
I get chills just typing it.

Great work, definitely one of the best videos in the playlist so far. GOTG is easily one of the best films in the MCU in my opinion. When it was released, no other MCU film had been quite as character driven as Guardians. And I agree the MCU does a wonderful job at telling stories about characters. That's why I chose to do Steve and Natasha's private conversation after Peggy's funeral for my One Marvelous Scene. It's those wonderful little character building moments that makes the MCU so special. And what's even more impressive for Guardians is that they managed to achieve everything they achieved with just one film. The guardians didn't need solo films to lead up to their group film because they are one; they are a family. GOTG is one of the wackiest entries in the MCU, but for sure one of the most relatable. Great scene choice, and insanely good video quality. I liked and subbed. Keep up the great work!!

The best thing about this One Marvelous Scene project is that I am finding all these new creators UA-cam refuses to recommend to me so you have a new subscriber. I teared up when you talked about your friends. My original friend group in college pushed me away in my first semester. In my second a group from the year ahead of me took me in despite the fact that I have such an abrasive personality (I'm very similar to Rocket.) The past three years they've been my family. They all just graduated, I still don't know what to expect this year, but goddamn I'm going to miss them. They always deserved so much better than me and yet they stuck it out through my bitching and irritability. It's gonna really suck not seeing them everyday anymore.

  • @RansomeStoddard

The thing is, we all feel like misfits. You don't need to be from another country. You don't need to be in an unfamiliar town. I spent most of my life living about 5 miles from where I was born but I always felt like a misfit. When other kids my age were playing sports, I was playing with my Star Wars action figures. It took me a long time to realize that I wasn't alone in feeling this isolation. I think almost everyone has felt this way at one time or another. And that may be why Guardians of the Galaxy resonated with so many people. We are all misfits and outcasts in one way or another. And we're all looking for the same thing, our little place where we fit in, like the Bee girl in the music video for Blind Melon's song "No Rain".

I’ve already commented but this is different. This movie, infact both of thr Guardian’s films resonate with me on a deep level. I relate the each of the characters, especially Quill since his personality is much in line with my own, both having lost our mothers, this scene highlights a feeling and emotion that is very rare to find. Other people whp haven’t quite been through the same you have, but through their own know exactly how you feel. And that brings you closer together. Whenever you find your band of misfits. Don’t let them go. They become family, and together, anything is possible.

Guardians of the Galaxy is my favorite Marvel movie as well. The way they handled the characters was amazing. And it's fantastic to see how every single piece of 80's songs was handpicked to match the scenes and emotional moments of the characters. James Gunn is a fucking legend, and I'm so happy he is back.

*Vicente Schaerer* Saludos desde Puerto Rico/Hello from Puerto Rico.
I liked this moment as well. Each of them hid their own insecurities from the rest and because of that they never functioned, even when protecting the stone and dodging all the obstacles set in their way since the start of the film. But, just when they will go on their separate ways and never get involved in other's affairs, the male protagonist lowered his mask and went on to tell of what could be done since they have the power to do something about it. Because when you don't do it when you had the chance...

Amazing video dude, you had me holding back tears throughout the entire essay.
If there is a movie I have seen more than Infinity War is GoTG 1. I just simply love it because it's not about heroes, it's mostly about broken people who happen to face a strong enemy, and despite their differences they finally save the day as a family.
I must say that "We are Groot" is my personal favorite scene from this movie. Everytime I watch it, or even talk about it (or write about it, like right now) I end up full of tears.
If you haven't done it already, I hope you get the chance to visit your family, or the other way around.

Hi *Vicente Schaerer.* Seen the video once again in 2020 makes me feel at peace and remember how much impact a film can relate and touch the life of human beings around the world. I could hear you about your hardships of not having friends or anyone beside you, filled with loneliness. But, my good sir, you showed passion for *The Misfits* who became *The Guardians* and brought all us together in an unbreakable string to watch it and see the message that we treasure to this day until WE pass to the next life. If you took a time to read new comments in 2020, then hope you enjoy life and make unlimited friends.
P.S: I can understand why some people think Chile as a simple countryside, BECAUSE they probably never traveled there or are typical minded individuals who can't see that most countries with a good size state CAN have a city.

Vicente, tremendo video! Muy buen análisis. En el fondo, tanto Guardianes 1 como la 2 tratan sobre un grupo de personas rotas que aprenden a ser una familia. Estaré atento a tus futuros videos! Saludos de un compatriota chileno!
