- Husband and I have some friends, Keith and Sonja, and Keith would like to make and intarsia for Sonja. So in this video I am showing Keith how I go about making an intarsia. The pattern he chose is from Kathy Wise and is called Cardinal on Branch.
Keith and Sonja also have a UA-cam channel called Someday Chronicles. They travel around the country and also have a segment of quilting by Sonja. In the description box you will find a link to their channel, to the pattern, and a link to an Amazon store where I have links to most of the products and tools that I use for making intarsia.

Those birds turned out great. I am just starting to do intarsia, and picked up a couple of great tips. I will be watching your videos regularly from now on. Thanks for the tips.
Thank you! I am excited for your intarsia journey! I am sure you will love it! Let me know if you have any questions! I would love to see your first one!
Loved the red birds, great work.
Thank you so much :)
Hi Cy. I just watched the video and as always enjoyed it very much. Both pieces turned out fantastic. Keith did an amazing job considering the technique was new to him. I am going to link to the video in today's blog post. I know some of my readers will enjoy seeing your techniques. Happy New Year.
Hey Steve! Thank you, Keith did do a very amazing job for his first intarsia and for his first time using the scroll saw! Thanks for watching and sharing my video :) 👍🤎
Been missing you!!!!
Thanks Curt! Its good to be back in the swing of things!!!
So cool 😎
Thanks Jason!
AUGURI, BUON ANNO !
Thank you and to you too!!!
What a great video. Never heard the term intarsia before. Keith is a natural… looks like he had a fantastic teacher!
I wish I could figure out my laser engraver. I can never line it up to cut or engrave where it “suppose” to.
Great video!👍🏼👏🏼
Thank you. He is a natural for sure 👍
My laser has a function where it will outline real quickly the area it is going to laser. It will beam the laser so you can see where it is going to burn. Maybe yours has that too? It is extremely helpful.
@@CysCorner mine will “frame the area… but it isn’t very accurate. I’m quite sure a large amount of the problem is the user. Hee Hee.
@@lateknightcreations 😂, I've had that problem too 😂
Great workmanship 😊, I use my Hegner scroll saw hear in the UK
Thanks! Hegner! Yesssss!!!!
Those both turned out awesome and Keith is obviously a natural because he did a fantastic job! I'm sure Sonja was thrilled to get such a special gift that he made for her. This will be a great video for me to refer to as an intarsia tutorial. Thanks!
Thank you Lori :) He is truly a natural!!! And Sonja did love it!!!
Welcome back Cy. Very nice projects. For never using a scroll saw Keith did some very precise cutting.
He really did, he's a natural!
Very nice
Thanks!
Hello Cys, how are you! Have a nice 2024!
Hey! Great! You also have a nice 2024!!!
Fun to see the two projects develop alongside one another. Great results!
Thanks! It was fun to see how the different woods would look 👍
Great job
Thank you!
