Just what was looking. Great information and to the point.
Part 1 just popped up on my page as a suggested video and I watched that. Good to see a follow up with even more choices, I wondered why NuCanoe hadn't made the list after watching the first one.
Great addition to your previous 7 fishing kayaks. Really appreciate the run down and key details. Solid work!
Appreciate it RV! Thanks for watching 👌🏽
How did you know I needed a video just like this today?
My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!
Great vid!
My hubby and I both got the Feel Free Lure V.2 11.5 ft. We love them, they have a good weight capacity and you can upgrade to peddle or trolling motor. I am planning to get the peddle drive when I can, it is pricey though. I can't remember if you covered this one before so forgive me if you have.
That’s awesome! Congrats on the yaks. Pedal drives can get pricey but they are a game changer for sure!
Thanks for watching!
look up the Kaku Zulu. I am 6 ft 5 380 and the kaku is by far the best watercraft i have been on. I used the Nucanoe frontier 12 and love the kaku by far.
I loved both these videos. I'm 6'3" and 330lbs looking to get into kayak fishing and get off the bank. Lots of great information provided here, and i thank you for it. I recently saw an ad for the hammerhead kayaks, any opinions on them?
Thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful. I saw a few reviews on the hammerhead kayaks. They seem like a decent option. Maybe you could demo one at a dealer to see how you like it.
Love your videos, I'm 350lb I have an inflatable but want a hard kayak, as soon as I find a place to keep it.
Appreciate it brother! Good luck on finding the right one 🙏🏽
Got my sub with the dad joke 😂😂
Yes! 💪🏽
Hey what’s going on man first time visiting your channel and you’re giving a lot of good information. It was my son and I first time fishing today and we loved it. Is there any 2 seater kayaks that you would recommend?
Appreciate it brother. Hobie has a tandem pedal kayak. I’ve seen several used. And the crescent crew can be made tandem easily. Would recommend both of those if a 2 seater is what you’re after.
You forgot this Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Tri-Cat Special ... '' There biggest '' two captains chairs ... 3 Pontoon ... weight cap 750 lbs. I have a 2022 Model and love it ! ! Check it out
Absolutely wild. I’ll have to check that one out. Didn’t know they had the tri-cat. Thanks for watching!
Awesome list, Jay!
I’m loving the Nucanoe one the most on this list. Not too heavy and it still has a massive weight capacity with a 360 seat. Can’t go wrong there.
The Blue Sky Boatworks one shouldn’t even be on the list, though 😂😂😂
That thing is NOT in any way, shape, or form a kayak. Might as well put a Ranger or Lund on Part 3 before something like that 😂
Disagree. I need that blue sky boatworks 😂
Thanks for watching my guy!
@@BeardedDadFishing Part 3: Number 6 on our list...The Mayflower!
@@TheMichiganFisherman 😂😂😂 “with a whopping 1,000,000 lb weight capacity”
I gots me a 136 Autopilot, 66 years old , 285#. Perfect !!!
You Rock On !!!
Appreciate you man! I love my AP136!
@@BeardedDadFishing I grew up in PA, Now West Coast
Hello there I’m 6” 338 pounds and I just wonder wich kayak would be the best for me .
Nucanoe frontier 12 also 650 capacity with multiple gear rails and 360 seat, step down from unlimited but just as good
Frontier 12 looks sick too!
Thanks for watching!
Great addition to the first list. The blue sky 360 would need a lot more power for me to push that big boy around though! Sweet concept but it’s needs an outboard 😅
I’d probably slap a 70# thrust 24v motor on that bad boy. Thanks for watching!
you'd be surprised! even with the old drive, that sucker moved and was not difficult to keep at speed. the new Mark 4 drive just made it even better!!!
Nucanoe Frontier 12? 2 or 3 inches wider and more stable than the newer Unlimited. Hands down the widest kayak out there as far as I know. Why does NC always get hated on - I'm actually surprised to even see the Unlimited on here. Guys, you can customize the Nucanoe more than any other kayak out there... whichever model you choose.... I have no affiliation with NC, other than I love their product and their customer service.
Wrong same width... Unlimited is the best all around out there for big guys.
Pretty sure the Nucanoe Unlimited only costs $1799 and IMO the best all around boat for all sizes.
I'm now looking at the nucanoe unlimited and the f12 thanks to a couple people on the kayaking dads
Those Nucanoe options looks awesome!
Well I was stupid and jumped on the first big yak I found and that's the ascend 133x waiting on it to come in. Then I heard about the nucanoe so here in a few weeks I'm renting one for the day. If like it as much as I'm hoping. I'll let you know.
Well the ascend 133x let me down the inside of the hull upper front seat wells are way to soft and will drop you when the heat gets high 90's
I would also add the Pelican catch power 100. It isn't classified as a kayak but it 100% is a kayak
Have you looked at hammerhead kayaks. A lot of features at a decent price point.
I’ll check them out!
I'm wanting a no frills 500 lb cap, sit on top, with 2 rod holders kayak for $500. I can add the rails and motors and storage later.
Make sure you check the marketplace apps and such. Some good deals on there.
I was wanting to see the Brooklyn Kayak Company TK122. Rated 770# with 74# hull weight.
I ended up buying their tandem. It weighs 74lbs and has a center seat option for solo kayaking. It holds 800lbs! It is versatile, able to hold 3 seats if necessary which is a plus when I want to take the kids for a joy ride.
The Titan 13.5 is the best most stable kayak made it sucks it was discontinued
Just recently started looking into kayak fishing most of the places i fish are spill ways because lakes dont have good bank fishing so i was wondering whats a good starter SOT one i weigh 130 one easy to pick up by myself i was looking at the Yellowfin Vibe 120 i know its alot but if you could answer that would be great love your videos
Vine yellowfin is currently only sale at Dicks $200 off. And I just saw 12 ft lifetime Yukon at Sam’s Club for $599. Both great starter options.
@BeardedDadFishing thank you so much I'll look into both of them I'd love to see more videos of you fishing on your kayak not alot of youtubers who do that nowadays
@@notguiinz appreciate it brother! I’ll be sure to get some fishing videos up soon
I consider myself a little bit bigger than average (5'9-5'10 and 230 pounds). My girlfriend and I are planing on getting our first fishing kayak (she already used paddleboard a couple of years). A local shop have a kayak that is 29.9" in width. Do you think it will be stable enough for me ? We plan on using it on calm river or small lake with almost no other boat. Should I go with another option more large (they have one that is 35", but way shorter (10'6" versus 12" for the first one and also a bit more expensive)
Thanks for watching! Id recommend a wider kayak. I’m 240 pounds and I wouldn’t consider anything under 33” for me personally.
You review alot of kayaks do you but all those yourself and what do you do with them all
What are your thoughts on the kaku Zulu pedal drive?
I haven’t looked into but I will. Thanks for watching.
What yak would you think would be best for catfishing rivers
Really depends on lots of factors, but generally all of these would be good options paired with an anchor via an anchor trolley or anchor wizard.
Thanks for watching!
I have an Ascend 133X and compete in BASS Nation. It is WAY TIPPY. Without training wheel floats, you'll hate it.
I would have gone with the Vibe Shearwater over the sea ghost and the crew flips very easily.
Thanks for the feedback man 👍🏽
Hey bud like your video just subscribed. I got $3000 I want a peddle drive and I’m 6”3’ 290lbs what do you recommend
Appreciate you! Shoot me a message on IG or FB. Depends on a lot of factors.
How do you have a video on kayaks in this group and not have the Hobie PA14. It has a 600lb capacity and one of the most stable best fishing platforms on the market
The PA14 is on my first video that I referenced during the intro. I agree the PA14 is a top contender.
Hammerhead Whale shark!
Native Slayer Max 12.5?
Great option as well!
riot mako/lost creek 12 says its good to 470 pounds.
The 133x also has a upgrade package for like 3400
Word! I’ll have to check out the upgrade. The 133x looks like a great option.
Bought this one im 340 when the temperatures gets up here in Alabama the hight front seat wells give away and drops the seat. Brand new boat just 3 hrs in to use
Looking for a tandem (2) big person (600 lbs) kayak. If you can help I will be looking out for your comments. God bless Sir.
The crescent crew is great for that!
Check out the Kaku voodoo
Will do! Thanks for watching.
Would you ever do inflatables?
Probably not but there is a legit market for them
had a 133x they are terrible quality very thin and prone to stress cracking ... was sad i only had it for 8 months bought a oldtown 120 pdl never looking back on those things..
I’ve heard several similar complaints unfortunately since putting this video together. Old town is where it’s at 💪🏽
@@BeardedDadFishing big facts I can't wait to catfish from them
👍 👍
Appreciate it! Love the steady stick idea 💪🏽
@@BeardedDadFishing thanks!! 🙏
How big, heavy and awkward do you have to go before you realise you need a boat?
I’ll take a kayak any day
Just get an aluminum canoe. My sportspal can hold up to 825lbs and only weighs 68lbs.
I wish these weren't so expensive
OR just get an Old town 10,12 feet 450 weight capacity, electric motor or pedal, own two my self🤷♂
You need to do a safty videothr blue sky is not a kayak.
🤷🏽♂️ but I would ride in it
