Some great choices! Thanks for including me in the video. It's true, you CAN catch fish on a budget kayak (and in fact, mine is actually the 10 foot version so you DEFINITELY can). Cool that Lucas made the cut as well. #yakgang
This is the second video of watched not by you but by another kayaker fluke master, which was last year about 10 things you should have. And it was almost exactly what you said. I appreciate you guys looking out and being concerned for the lives of others. Mainly emphasizing the pfds, appreciate you
I got a brand new Tamarak from Walmart for $80. I went in to buy it in the fall when they put them on sale. It was supposed to be $160 bucks. But I had to wait for about an hour for the guy that worked that department to get done with lunch. Dude looks at me when he goes to ring me up and says “How’s $80 sound since you had to wait?”. I said “Deal”😂 It got me on the water and off the bank. It works. I modded it and put a seat on it and a crate. I’m going to upgrade and get a pedal kayak this year. But I definitely don’t regret buying it. It’s good to get out there and see what you like and don’t like and figure out what you need for the body of water your fishing.
Awesome video! Thanks! Keep an eye out at your local places for sales. Father's day is coming up and sales will be on. I got a 12' Tamarack at Menards for $250 last year. Love it.
I see this being an extremely helpful video for A LOT of people. Sweet video and break down of the yaks bro! Thanks for including me in the #yakgang clips as well🤘🏻🤘🏻
Picking a kayak is like shopping for a new truck. Damn lol. I got the taste of a King but the pockets of a pleb. Decisions .. Thanks for the video bro. Love your channel.
You just helped me discover a kayak I’m very interested in. They make the Moken with pedal drive for 1500. Which is one of the cheapest most compact pedal drive kayaks out there. That I’ve seen at least. I’m probly going to get this at some point now. Thankyou for showing up in my feed
Thanks for the info. Always wanted one, afraid to give it a try. Didn't know the options kayak's offer. I like the one in between kayaks and the mini boat and the video on big dude/women. Might start with the $ 550.00Thanks
I'm looking for an inflatable. Have you tried any? Also good deals under 1,000. Blackwater 130 looks like a great option. Anyway, thanks for this video! I especially like your DIY tackle box made from crates!
Dude, this is phenomenal information Thank you, this and the big boy kayaks video were super useful. Im looking to buy my wife a kayak as well and where as I am 6'2 250lbs... shes 4'10 100 lbs. So thats another product i need to look into
Glad it was helpful man! As a big boy, I know how much of a task it was to find the right yak for me. Good luck with finding the right one for your wife. Let me know if I could be of help!
Thanks for that! I’ll watch the one on kayaks for big dudes. I’m 6’, 220 lbs and an older guy so I really want a yak that’s stable and that I can stand up in every now and then to stretch my legs.
Not technically a fishing kayak but it's got a peddle drive which is more important to me. The Pelican Getaway only $999. Teo side rail gear tracks that I've attached 2 rod holders and a ff/gps. Room behind the seat for my extra large crate with 6 more rod holders.
I just picked up a Lifetime Teton (aka Yukon) Pro 116 for $550 last night. Seems like it has more features than that Tamerak. It had been listed for $650 for quite a while though and I only just noticed it went down in price right before I had finally decided to buy.
The Lifetime Angler pro has the better seat and is three inches longer, rod holder and some other upgrades. about 20 bucks more than the Angler, love mine.
Just bought a lifetime tamarack angler. I only river fish for smallmouth. Did I make a good choice?Do I need an anchor trolley system for this kind of fishing? Thanks.
I’ve only seen them in person once but from what I know, they don’t come with any fishing features. However if that’s not a deal break for you, I’d go for it.

Went with the Pelican Catch Mode 110 on sale for $699. Super stable and added a fin motor for $299. Perfect inshore set-up.
sounds cool... what kind of fin motor? thank you

Thank you for making this vid. This is the only under 1k kayak video in 2023. Bunch of old vids but not new

Thanks for the great video... I'm going with the Perception Outlaw so I can stand up easily... time to dump the Ascend 12T I've had for five years.

Appreciate that Lucas! As soon as I knew I’d put the 3 Waters on there I knew I had to put you on!

I am surprised you didn’t have the Perception Pescador pro on your list.
Gotta check it out. How do you like it?

Glad you found it helpful my friend! Thanks for watching!
what do you think about the Catch Mode 110 fishing kayak
I’d have to look into it. Definitely look at width, length and weight capacity. All of those have a direct effect on how stable it will be for you.
Good job on this video brother. Firm 🤝🏼. Until the next one ✌🏼.
Can you please share your experience with 2 person Tandem kayaks? Great video Thank you!
I don’t have personal experience with tandem but look at the Crescent Crew for a great stable option.
I'm looking for an inflatable. Have you tried any? Also good deals under 1,000. Blackwater 130 looks like a great option. Anyway, thanks for this video! I especially like your DIY tackle box made from crates!
I have not but lots of good options out there! NRS and Newport are great brands with inflatables

Did you ever find a kayak for your wife? I'm seeing all these kayaks for bigger guys but not for anyone on the smaller side
Haha found you again. We are in the fb group together. 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Awesome dude 😂🤙🏽 thanks for watching (again 🤣)
Sure did your homework Brother. Great vid.
Thank you Paul! This one took a while with the research and editing. Appreciate you watching!
Thanks for that! I’ll watch the one on kayaks for big dudes. I’m 6’, 220 lbs and an older guy so I really want a yak that’s stable and that I can stand up in every now and then to stretch my legs.
Thanks for watching Big Rich!
A buddy has a johhny bass boat with a 6hp.. shell do 14-15 mph 😂
But he does hate when he has to paddle it lol

Welcome aboard, Diesel! Awesome group and just getting started...
Bud I have been shopping for the Johnny boat for awhile now. Do you know where it is in stock?
All depends where you are at. Have you checked any local dealers?
what do you think of foldable kayaks for fishing? im planning on only going out for 1-2 hours at a time and i feel like it would be more practical
I’ve only seen them in person once but from what I know, they don’t come with any fishing features. However if that’s not a deal break for you, I’d go for it.
I want to know about the little yellow one
When they say a load capacity is 350lbs, do you have to subtract the weight of the Hull?
Some manufacturers calculate that way, others don’t. Unfortunately there is no industry standard.
What about PELICAN at this price range?
Pelicans are right in there with the first few. Great affordable yaks.
I don't think you can beat old town
I bought an old town pdl 106 for 800
That’s a heck of a steal! Congrats
Whin your fishing and you kaich a fish where do you put it.
Thanks for watching!
If I’m keeping something I put it in my cooler. But you can also buy a live well or make one out of a hard cooler.
Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 ate 9!
