Same for me, my class got a few times a stand in teacher and he would ask us for fun what we wanted to do after putting his feet up on counter. My late uncle dug out a basement in his then-new house so he could have a "music room." He put a stereo down there and decorated it with album covers, many of which were U2 albums. I'd used to visit him and go "wow, your basement has a lot of U2 albums." He was like, "hell yeah, it does." He died in August of 2022 from stomach cancer. His last days were spent with his family listening to his favorite music in his living room. Love you, Uncle Mike. Hope you have U2 on repeat in the afterlife somewhere. You lasted two days longer than my cousins thought you would, and as far as I know, they're grateful for it. (Also, my cousins are not handling his death well, and I've left them alone.)

@@mooghead You can go to a Monkeys video and their fans will say that they were the greatest band ever, how Peter Tork is the worlds greatest keyboardist, and that the Monkeys music is so powerful it kept them from committing suicide. After years and years listening to this, days ago i listened in a radio carefully and realized this song was a song made with quality And its a masterpiece And i dont even like u2
A lot of music producers use this as a reference track, as an exemplar, for excellence in mixing. And it's not all about the individual instruments sounds (timbres) it's about volume levels and panning left or right for different passages to create space and atmosphere. In this case the stereo field mimics their physical position in the video (and also on stage) at the start and then moves left and right after for that vertiginous feeling. It was produced by Steve Lillywhite who did their first album, Boy, in 1980.
When i was 9 years old, i listened so much Alternative Rock in my mother's car, and i liked this song from U2. Now i'm 17 years old and i thank to my mother who transmitted me her favourite musical's genre. Besides "Vertigo" is my favourite song from U2.

not at all, there is way more other songs that have that early 2000's sound.
@Cristian Matías agreed
@Cristian Matías what about "wasn't me" by shaggy or The ketchup song
actually 2004, november or december in my region MTV
and awkward thing is, ding dong song from gunther cames in same year.....
''most earliest''
Now that I actually have vertigo this song hits differently 😅

+Iglo 0N VACation Yeah yeah yeah my friend ;D
This was one of the few songs I liked from this album, Personally I enjoyed their previous album more, All that you can't leave behind. I can't forget rattle and hum and ofcourse everybody's fav Joshua tree will always be their best hands down, I grew up on that album.
Bono could not be reached for comment, as he is currently in Africa helping the needy.
Bono: YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEEEEEH
HEELLLOO
HELLOOO
#2... #2!!!! I will never be a #2
-Bono, the #2 record holder for largest shit taken in a toilet
He must take the crap in Zurich
@@kermitsalterego2734 no you have it wrong. Bono isnt the record holder. He is the record!
Maybe he's still learning how to dismantle an atomic bomb
imo U2's greatest song.
I love Bono!
Man, I suddenly started remembering this song. Had a hard time getting to the name, but it was worth it!!
Messi included this song in his list of favourite songs, so here i am!
Por eso estoy aquí 😅
@@nobistador 😄
Eu também 🇧🇷
Another reason why he is the best
Surprised me considering he doesn't speak English
My late uncle dug out a basement in his then-new house so he could have a "music room." He put a stereo down there and decorated it with album covers, many of which were U2 albums. I'd used to visit him and go "wow, your basement has a lot of U2 albums." He was like, "hell yeah, it does."
He died in August of 2022 from stomach cancer.
RIP to your Uncle 🥀 best wishes to his family and friends from Buckeye Arizona 🤠🌵🐎🇺🇸
@@DouglasRichardson-er4ky Thank you.

Always loved this song. Now I am a long term sufferer of vertigo, but I still like the song. It has new meaning for me now.
Will you hurt someone if you don't get what you want also, because Bono has vertigo too? Asking for a friend.
Menieres disease?

HELLO HELLO HELLO!! YEA YEA YEA YEAAHHHH!
"Thank you for this tremendous award. Excuse me, I must be getting another award"
Adam Clayton and Larry Mullins Jr are one of the best rhythm sections out there possibly ever
They sure are!
@Stephen O'Donnell I think the guys from Rush don’t qualify as a “rhythm section”, they were a whole another idea, each instrument and arrangement holding and pushing each other.
Such an original thing to say about a band....
@@mooghead You can go to a Monkeys video and their fans will say that they were the greatest band ever, how Peter Tork is the worlds greatest keyboardist, and that the Monkeys music is so powerful it kept them from committing suicide. You can then go (fill in the worst band ever)'s videos and read the exact same thing. Opinions are great.
The real Batman and Robin
I have been absolutely in love with song since the first time I heard it as a child. The music and melody 🎶 still gives me something I can feelllllllllllllll 😊😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
2:27 was epic. The vertigo bit.
When you suffer from Vertigo, this is the soundtrack. What an awesome soundtrack it is!!
After years and years listening to this, days ago i listened in a radio carefully and realized this song was a song made with quality
And its a masterpiece
And i dont even like u2
A lot of music producers use this as a reference track, as an exemplar, for excellence in mixing. And it's not all about the individual instruments sounds (timbres) it's about volume levels and panning left or right for different passages to create space and atmosphere. In this case the stereo field mimics their physical position in the video (and also on stage) at the start and then moves left and right after for that vertiginous feeling. It was produced by Steve Lillywhite who did their first album, Boy, in 1980.
―Un, dos, tres catorce!
―Holaaaaa, holaaaa
―¿Dónde está?
I love it! 😍🤘
When i was 9 years old, i listened so much Alternative Rock in my mother's car, and i liked this song from U2.
Now i'm 17 years old and i thank to my mother who transmitted me her favourite musical's genre.
Besides "Vertigo" is my favourite song from U2.
UN, DOS, TRES, CATORCE !!!!
HALA MADRID !!!!!!!!!!
