Steve had me dying with the grunts and rifle noises
That was so funny when Steve went “for cryin out loud” 😂
The best hunting show of all time. No question.
300 yards is a long ways to get a buck to stop with a grunt.......just sayin!
@@to8860 I can’t argue that
Give a sharp bark. Just need it to stop n look. They hear yotes all the time.
100%
Randy Newberg tho...
Hands down the best hunting show on TV. They do more then just hunt, Meat Eater tell's a story. Of conservation and really respect the animals their hunting.
Totally agree!
Not just a hunting show IMO . I will agree it's a really great show to watch if you want to learn about hunting and sooo much more about life .
I tried watching other hunters and feel like they are a cheap thrill quick and dirty making questionable shots and being greedy I like “deer meat for dinner” too he’s like meat eater but lower production quality
@@randoir1863 Except that it is “just”a hunting show. It’s nothing more than that. It just shows many aspects of hunting that most other hunting shows don’t.
Steve rinella explaining the conclusion of a hunt is like therapy, that’s what humans are supposed to be doing , living their life outdoors hunting their own meal . Thanks for one amazing channel meat eater
Humans aren’t “supposed” to be doing anything. We’re so adaptable for a reason. There is no one way to live right.
@@SnailHatan the point is humans as a whole (as in all the species in the genus homo) were eating nearly exclusively large animals for a couple million years before we first figured out agriculture 15,000 or so years ago and became physically able to sustain ourselves on majority plant matter. Hunting is natural to humans, chasing prey and taking them down with long range tools is what homo sapiens do. Sure you could argue a bear isnt "supposed" to eat a dead moose it finds too because it could choose not to and it could walk back up a mountain to eat berries instead, but the natural thing to do would be for it to sniff out and eat that animal. We became adaptable through our pursuit and cooking/eating of these animals. Everyting else you do in life today came later, as rinella so elegantly puts it in the openings of earlier episodes: "in each and every one of us there is a primal instinct to hunt and consume"
I highly recommend reading his book, “MeatEater: Adventures in the life of an American Hunter.” So many lessons and insights about more than hunting and fishing, while also tying them in.
His interview on the joe rogan podcast is really good too !
@@thisisahmed4571 which one? He’s been on like 8 or 9 times I believe haha.
they’re all good! just didn’t know which you were referencing
All of his books can be read in his voice, and they're all awesome
I literally finished that book today at work. Was amazing. The hunting stories were very interesting and the deeper meanings he pulled from the things he learned are riveting
As a Mexican that some good tatemado burnaso con frijoles recien echos
This year, I’ll be going on my first hunting trip. This show is amazing!
Have fun mate, can't wait for my first one eventually!
Awesome to hear, its honestly great to see so many new people getting into hunting.
I was never interested in hunting (just target shooting) until like this year when I watched some Meat Eater episodes on here (then realized it was on Netflix too). May go with my uncle deer hunting in the UP of MI this year, or next if not this.
Fantastic. Glad to hear it Eric. Good luck and soak it all in brother.
Goodluck buddie
Steve you have no idea how many followers you’ve accumulated and all the sportsman you represent and you are the finest spokesmen we have you’re the bridge from people who haven’t been exposed to conservation and the appreciation of nature teddy would be proud keep these other vids coming !!!
That is some kind of beautiful scenery. You guys had a great hunt. And the food made in the old style of Mexican dishes is absolutely amazing. One wonders how long before dishes cooked the old way will be found in these rural areas. One day there will only be memories unless another generation decides to pick up where men such as this cook leave off. I wonder what this area of Mexico will be like 25 years from now?
The speak about "firsts" is incredible and so true. I can't wait to start hunting and gather many more firsts while reducing the amount of firsts I have left.
Steve’s narrations will never get old he’s like a modern day Morgan freeman
...Morgan Freeman is still alive. Morgan Freeman IS modern day Morgan Freeman lol
"That shouldn't keep you from losing hope" -Steven Rinella 20:50
The ending commentary is exactly what I tell my 20 year old son. He doesn't listen because he doesn't like risk or change because he is focused on his veterinarian courses while playing division 2 football as a center. Im brought to my own thoughts and wonder.....does he have it right being so focused for later on. Or did I have it right living care free and now I have to focus as an adult.
Yep worlds best hunting show.
It has it all, the people, the scenery, then animals. The respect for the land owners the respect of the animals. Hands down no one I repeat no one has a better show.
Well done to all. 👍
One thing Meater Team, we need “SMELL A VISION” 😋🤣
All the camaraderie and all the adventure. I may never physically get to walk the mountains and valleys that these men to but thankfully they let me tag along in spirit.
Man, that sky is beautiful at 2:27.
Something that's on my bucket list is to go camping in America - so watching your videos is very enjoyable.
Thanks for the great content :)
Big bend in Texas has the best night skies in the country. It's an incredible place to camp!
@@aluminumbeluga Thank you for the recommendation! I'll try to make that my first stop! :)
@@aluminumbeluga doesn’t matter where you live there will always be an evening when Mother Nature says check this out lads and you just have to go wow
Now that's a birthday gift, a new episode of the greatest hunting show I've seen in my 44 years. Thanks for another great one Steve!
I love watching these episodes right up to when they start eating.......then I start salivating and want to eat everything in sight 🤤
lol same
Yeah, I watch one of these and immediately think about digging through the freezer. It's worse with a seafood episode cuz I definitely ain't got that
Great video and a wonderful experience for a first timer . congratulations to you both stay safe
Steve is such a respectful person
The last words Steve spoke in this clip are so great. You….yea you. Love M/E.
Fantastic episode. You're never to old for a first!
It's crazy how much a show like this can change your perspective on things. I had never had any contact to hunting whatsoever and even used to be a vegetarian for the last two years. I started watching this show a couple of month ago and every new episode i am watching amazes me anew. Now I eat meat again and even think about going for a hunting license.. Great content Steve, keep it coming!
As a vegetarian for 9 years, I never felt better.
Modern meat farming is disgusting.
But, I love hunting.
So, now i have settled on only eating meat that I hunt. Good for my mind, my body, and the planet.
Huge fan of the Meat Eater series! Especially the cooking videos. Thank you for taking us meat eaters along with you!
I remember as a young boy waiting for the weekend to be able to watch Kurt Goudy or Mutual of Omaha for their hunting adventures. We’ll meat eater crew you bring back all those pleasurable feelings and more. Keep up the great work that you do and I hope the children of today get that same feeling when they watch you guys. Stay strong and god bless.
I'm not a hunter but I really enjoy the content. Look forward to the weekly episodes.
That's showing your age. I remember mutual of Omaha also. It was awesome
I enjoy watching these "hunting shorts " as I call them on YT !!!!!! Most of them are only 20 minutes or so long , BUT there's so much to take in when watching them . From finding the animals , to the right place to shoot from , to skinning them in the field . The narration is excellent in my opinion and only enhances the quality of the video . more pls???? Here's to many more successful hunts!!!!
Another great video filled with all that is meat eater, beautiful vistas of the distant countryside, banter between to good mates and the local culinary knowledge of how best to prepare and eat the kill, keep them coming 🇦🇺
The only downside is digging through the freezer only to find out you can't make whatever he's cooking 😅
@@randysparks1271 is that because he is a better cook or like me your freezer is a little on the empty side 🤔
@@nopharksgiven I ain't even gonna pretend I can cook, but it's definitely both of those yeah. I live on a hill side in tennessee, I get catfish, squirrel and deer usually and a feral pig if I'm really lucky. I did buy his books and I hope to try a few recipes though.
All hunters no matter what culture have always gone through this.
Friend: "FFS why didn't you shoot?!"
Shooter: "No shot"
Friend: "OMFG all you had to do is grunt?!"
Shooter: "............................" (WHATEVER, I'm here for the outdoors anyway)
If you hunt, you will hear that. Even if you know for a fact the fella saying wouldn't have made that shot either, he'll still whine that you didn't. It's just how hunters are, how people are.
Visually slippery!! I like that Steve...thx guys
Visually slippery. That is great language, Steve Rinella. Beautiful.
Another one to put on repeat! These vids get me so pumped
Man when guys do the sped up video of the night sky with all the stars, absolutely insane and beautiful to look at!
Best hunting show ever
Listening to steve and yanni go back and forth while glassing reminds me of being a kid annoying my dad as id talk to him out in the woods. An occasional laugh and an ok lets get back to business
"up on his tippy toes" Classic
We need to preserve the land & those traditional dishes.
Fantastic episode & delicious food.
We all need that recipe
Awesome closing statement spoken like a man who knows some stuff thanks for sharing the hunt.
Steve you wrong for flaming Janis like that lmao
I'm going.. Thank you Steve.
Man that call to action at the end got me fired up! Love this channel.
Coues hunting in old Mexico...the best...done it 3 times....and Steve.that was a 85 inch 3x3😎
Awesome show glad you guys had some great hunting
First's will always be famous in your mind !! Congratulation guys
Meat eater day babie!! 🍻
"A Michigan 8", that got me good.
I love seeing those javelina charge. Gets me every time.
I agree... My favorite was Steve and remi... Steve hit one with a bow at full charge... Very impressive to me!
Every time I hear the word couse...all I can think about is the Sopranos......LOL.
Awesome hunt, great video as always Steve!
Amazing story line great video you are the best at describing the hunt and history!!
Laying here trying to beat this covid 19 bull shit, but watching meateater hunts sure make it a bit easier.
Congratulations Janis on a sweet buck!
This show is amazing with UA-cam comments
LOVE YOU STEVE!!!!!!! KEEP EM COMING HERE ON UTUBE!!!!!!

Badass show. I'm addicted.
Definitely on my bucket list!!
Saw the thumbnail and thought it was the grinches green hands on his little doggies antlers
Haven't hunt 8 years show brings back good memories
Loved the ending too!
“Unmolested terrain” is wild.
finally a meat eater episode!!!! thank you
You guys are just top notch. That's all I can say.
Thanking God I was lucky enough, to be raised in the great outdoors...
This year will be my first time hunting big game and earlier this year was my first time hunting turkey. Cross your fingers for me I get to say this year was my first elk or my first deer. I didn’t get a turkey but I did call one in almost close enough to shoot and I have to say the adrenaline rush was almost as fun as being in combat.
Steve Really tells a good story.
They all look great in the freezer 😋👍
At 12:29 ish that camera work was amazing it felt like there was a camera on the gun but then he zoomed out
in germany you traditionally count it a point on the antler if you can hang the rifle belt on it
Keep up the great presentation Stephen!!!
Montana Boys get it done, hell ya brother!🤘
I'm originally from the same area in mexico and Coues deer is the only type of deer i've ever bagged. I had no idea they were so elusive and hard to find/hunt because that's all we knew😂. If I had known I would've certainly had one taxidermied😭
Awesome hunt
Love this show.
“For cryin out loud!”😂😂
Janis popping his couesie cherry, good for you Janis!
I want to go Steve but most of us don’t have your access no offense brother. For now we get to live vicariously thru you. Thank you for that!
Mannn I Love Ya My Favorite Michigan Guy. You remind so much of my Cousins and My uncles and Myy Missed GrandFather just with your demeanor and personality
Loved the conclusion.
Best show
great episode! love the ending
My dad also taught me, if you can hang a ring on it, it’s a point.
I will be hunting the grey ghost at the end of the month with my bow here in Arizona always fun always a challenge
Dude that’s awesome, Van Hallen, Kiss, Judas Priest,, ….. you know what I mean….. very very cool build…. I love it big time 👍👍👍👍👍✅✅✅✅✅❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm from south east ky and that's the same way we count points.
Another one down in the old story books got to love the first an then to enjoy it as your dinner can bet that
Steve: reeaah, pishew. Buck down.. reeaaaaah, pishew. Buck down..
Janis: Steve shut up.
Steve: reah, pishew. Buck down.
"Janis and I decide to split up and cover more ground"
lolllll
steve rinella and meateater is what was anthony bourdain and no reservations. both tell stories connected by culture and food.
Bien venido a México amigo
Best thing on youtube
Steve needs to come to the NT in Australia and hunt wild water buffalo and wild bulls and camels
Otro hermoso video amigos
Those little deer look tasty
So true a typical Michigan buck .
Always inspiring
7:43 The meanest you’ll ever see Steve Rinella.
