What you say is so true. It took me 4 month to get 50 subscribers, than I completely changed my videos/ thumbnails etc with the focus on better ideas and better quality. And boom, 40 subscribers in 4 days....I assume to get the first 100 in the next couple days....Thank you for your great input

Man this UA-cam things is hard! Been at it for a couple of years now and I’m 50 videos and 725 subs in. Couple of things I’ve noticed… Accumulation is important, the more videos=more views= more subs (just keep going my channel is growing faster now) UA-cam will box you in as far as the type of content you can make. Once your content is not what the viewer expected, people will unsubscribe. Lastly there will be ups and downs and at some point you will want to quit…. Don’t!

I’m at 370 subs but I never turn down an opportunity to learn from Roberto Blake. Honestly the BEST no bs UA-cam growth channel. It’s not about tips tricks and hacks. It’s all about working, learning, improving and repeat.
I also find that properly tagging your videos in your specific niche helps as well and helps you get on get in the first page of that search term...like being creative with your tags... Like Geocaching ...ok so...a tag like Geocaching vlogs or Geocaching in BC Canada and even misspelling it helps as well. But yes, having a personality, your thumbnail, your presentation and getting people to actually click and watch that video among the others on that first page is a must.

I'm trying. I'm really really trying. I think that my thumbnails are great, but maybe I need to work more on my titles. It's a really slow process for me. 😮💨
@@queenmejc For titles, I would look around at like creators. From first impression, I think someone like Chantelle Simone would be a good model for you. On thumbnails, I would increase your font size to make clear to read and separate from the background. Increase your face too to see your expressions better. Participating in livestreams in the relationship, manosphere, social commentary sector would be good for you too as it may drive more traffic and potential collabs.

Yeah it can be tough but UA-cam shorts put you on the map. Then it is up to the viewers if they want to watch your main content. It’s all part of the growing pains. I’m going through it now. I generally do gaming videos but I throw some fun or funny stuff in as well because some of my audience enjoys it. I don’t mind trying to satisfy the entertainment needs of my audience and always open to suggestions. If one of my videos can brighten someone’s day or even some tips/tricks or banter during one of my gaming sessions it makes it worth it no matter how long it takes to get to the next level. That being said I did enjoy your video. And you are right my first few videos I did notice I was a bit bland and not showing my personality. Ones where I’ve shown my personality have generally done much better. Getting me new lighting soon and next will be better MIC.

Love it. I only have 83 subs. But you are right about creating 100 ugly videos. Get good at learning speaking on cam. Then the rest will follow don't worry about getting expensive equipment at first..
I am certainly a hobby UA-camr. I have successful videos where I've made what the viewer wants, however, I enjoy the process a lot more when I make whatever I want, and that's okay, I'm not complaining about numbers, I don't even see em half the time. If I wanted to boost my numbers, then I know that I have to find what people want to watch and make videos on that. I guess I should balance it a bit. One for me, and one for the viewer.
As someone with more than 10K subscribers was there anything you felt stood out? Also I do have a plan for a video about getting to 50K for creators like you. I know everyone skips that step to 100K.
There are definitely people that resist one of these ideas or another, but I think a big one for younger creators is the part about not just making a bunch of random content with no connecting theme at all. It seems like any time I come across a channel with over 25 videos and under 100 subscribers, that's the problem they have.
@@RobertoBlake just the regular stuff. Bad Thumbnails, being disappointed in small view counts, and not very good content I think is discouraging. But I'm going to start working on it!
That was my issue at first too, that and not sure of exactly what I was doing and not being too comfortable on camera. So, I decide to post no less than once per week (sometimes I miss and post every 8 to 9 days). I also decided to record off camera, that was one thing that really prevented me from uploading. I simply didn't feel like getting 'camera ready'. Since I don't record on camera as much, it's way easier and less daunting for me to upload content. AND, I stopped rambling at the beginning of my videos, I greet my audience, say my intro and get right into topic, this has improved my watch time.

I started more as a hobby and it has been going well. My content is controversial so once UA-cam got wind of my growth, UA-cam limited my growth but I am still growing.

Even though I have made it to 20k subs I always watch videos on how to get your first 10, 100, 1000 etc subs because I dont want to lose myself to the youtube machine.

My problem is consistency, which I'm trying to work on. Once I fix that I'll be able to work on other things like watch time and engagement.

Even though I have made it to 20k subs I always watch videos on how to get your first 10, 100, 1000 etc subs because I dont want to lose myself to the youtube machine.
It’s always good to refresh fundamentals but I’ll have a video on getting 50K subs soon
