Even as an MD, having previously heard of many of these medical facts in fragmented form, I have to say that this was an extremely interesting and comprehensive presentation, brilliantly delivered.
Thank you, Dr. Gundry! I learned a lot.

I am bit confused here. I usually have a bowl of some fruit before every meal like grapes, papaya, apple, cantaloupe and other seasonal fruits. Can this be causing me problems of low energy while increasing inflammation in my body ? I try to walk 5-6 days a week. Please share your comments on what worked or did not work for you. For those of us suffering with SIBO, isn't it true that we need to consume foods that digest as quickly as possible in order to prevent the bacteria in our small intestine from metabolizing the food and producing gas? If cassava flour digests quickly, wouldn't that be a good thing for SIBO sufferers?

Dr. Gundry says to "give fruit the boot". Yet in other videos, he recommends eating certain fruits (such as pomegranate and black currant), to feed the gut microbiome, and produce post-biotics, such as Urolithin A.
In any case, I've been eating fruit every day my entire life; and at age 68, I have absolutely no signs of dementia, or inflammation, or liver problems (my ALT is 29, my AST is 25), or joint pain. Plus, I still have 5% body fat, which I've had all my adult life.

what kind of fruit, how often daily, how much do you move daily? How many of your age friends are still alive? If most of them are sick or dead consider having better genes and simply not fitting average without reason to generalize own case

@@szymonbaranowski8184 The main point I was making is that Dr. Gundry appears to have a contradictory double-standard in his philosophy, when he says to "give fruit the boot", while in other videos he recommends several fruits, that he believes people should eat for good health.

👏👏This generalized statement makes me wonder, also.....Maybe some fruits are worse than others, when it comes to causing your body to create the palmitate that he says is so bad....like fruits high in glucose (such as apples, pears, mangoes, cherries, figs, watermelon and dried fruit) and I imagine the quantity of fruit could be a factor....but we really didn't get enough information to answer these questions, and I have become highly suspicious, the older I get, about any "expert" advising to discontinue eating a whole group of foods. Personally, I eat very little fruit in my diet, and yet I am still tired a lot of the time….That's why I was watching this video, hoping to get some insight....🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

    •  2 місяці тому

He says to eat fruit in season. If you live in a high yield environment, you can get away with eating fruit all year round. You need to match the same environment the food is grown in otherwise it will lead to a mismatch with your biology.

16:05 This to me seems like complete BS. I only ever feel bad from fruit, back when I was Number 1 : Sedentary 2: Ate too much 3: Bad sleep 4: No fasting and bad gut health 5: No fruit or carbs with everymeal, to improve mitochondria, Fruit gives me a huge energy boost in fact, and no drawback, IF you dont eat it at every single meal or overeat.
