    I was able to cut my hair today, myself! Even as a trained beautician, I'd only ever cut my own bangs. I was fine cutting everyone else's hair, but cutting my own in the mirror was always too much struggle. YOU made it easy for me. Thanks so much!

    Thank you very much for your brilliant video. I was watching it over and over while I sat at my dressing table plucking up the courage to cut my hair. It's the same as yours but not as long. I haven't been able to get to a salon for months due to the UK lockdown. I had an appointment just as another one was enforced! So my ends were so split, damaged and broken.

    I did mine today after watching this. I think I did okay, although there is a longer place right in the middle of the back. My hair is thin but very wavy.I was glad to get some length off!! I wear it pulled back anyway so that longer part won't figure in any way. Great video, thank you. Will do it this way again.

      Hey, so glad to hear this video helped you and that you will do it again in the future. If you have a longer piece in the middle, if your hair is long enough still to reach if you put your hand behind your back, you can use 2 mirrors and sit infront of a big mirror with your back towards it, than look in your handheld mirror, while reaching behind your back holding scissors and you can cut that middle part off, or just leave it like you said if it doesnt bother you. You are so welcome and thanks for watching❤️

    Hey Tasha, can you make a video showing how we can cut a Straight across line in the back by ourselves? I could do it and it would show up absolutely straight in the back, using this technique when my hair was to my bum, but now when it's like waist lenght it seems to form a U shape in the back despite cutting it the same way

    • @tassharae
      @tassharae  3 роки тому +3

      Hey, yes i can absolutely show you, because your hair is so long youll be able to get your arms and hands behind your back and cut. You will have to use 2 mirrors, sit infront of one and than hold one, you will sit with your back to the big mirror, looking into your handheld mirror, than your other arm behind you cutting the straight line. this will only work because your hair is very long, and it may sound confusing but i will show how to do this in my next haircutting video i promise!! Nice tutorial! What does it look like in the back? Is it still blunt straight across or does it form a V shape?

    • @tassharae
      @tassharae  4 роки тому +6

      Thank you🙂. Good question, yes it is still blunt in the back, but yes it does form a slight v shape at the back. The hair in the centre at the back has to travel farther when coming to the front thus creating length. The only way to avoid that is by cutting the hair from the back, so you could ask someone to cut that v shape off for you if it bothers you. But it doesnt bother me and you can see in any of my hair videos where i show the back of my hair that its not a bad thing at all. I will be doing another video soon trimming my hair and i can show the back so you can see this time☺️. Thanks so much for watching!

      @@tassharae I just want a soft "U" shape from the sides to the back, how would i go about doing that?

    • @tassharae
      @tassharae  4 роки тому +1

      hey Kimmi thanks for watching! Unfortunately when cutting you're own hair it is impossible to cut a perfect "U" shape when you are cutting your own hair from the front. The shape you get with this haircut is closer to a soft "V". But it is quite soft so you may like it. If the bottom of the V bothers you from this cut you can ask someone you know to slightly trim off the bottom of the V from the back to make it more of a U once you finish the cut. But you may like to just leave it as is thats what i do on myself!! Hope this helps!! watch my latest video to see the shape this haircut gives at the back its quite lovely!!❤️

      @tassharae  3 роки тому +2

      Aw so nice of you girl thank you❤️! Depending how thick your hair is you probably wont be able to hold it all between your fingers like i did, so yes i would suggest still splitting your hair in half, and than on each side maybe try 2-3 sections, but make sure each section is held in the same position straight down. And than once you finish those 2-3 sections than comb them together to make sure they are all even and adjust if need be, also you will benefit from the technique of taking some bulk out that i showed in my video. Make sure you take some bulk out off your ends so that it lays nicely or it will be too heavy with your super thick hair! I hope this helps, dont hesitate to ask anymore questions! Thank you so much for watching❤️

    How do you cut to get a straight line in the back?

    • @tassharae
      @tassharae  3 роки тому +2

      That would be a completely different technique and video. you would only be able to do this if you either had quite long hair, or quite short. otherwise you wouldnt be able to get your hands behind your body to cut it. What you could do thou is do all of the techniques i showed in this video on yourself, and than have someone you know help you, and just comb all of your hair back after you finish, and have them cut a straight line at the back. because what i showed will create a soft U/V shape. I could definitely show ways to cut either short or super long hair in a straight line at the back in a future video, but it wouldnt work for any mid lengths as you just cant get your arms in that area. Sorry and hope this helps. Thanks for watching❤️

      @@tassharae Thank you. I have mid length hair. I stumbled across msrosiebea on UA-cam and she did the back ponytail then brought it to the front to cut. She fixed the (upside down U) shape by bringing the sides forward. I'll give it a try. Thanks for all your tips.

    I did this but my hair is so thick it’s uneven

    • @tassharae
      @tassharae  3 роки тому

      Because your hair is so thick it will be hard to hold it all in one section on each side, try dividing that section into 2 sections, it will be easier to hold. Also, dont forget to take some bulk out like i showed, it will help it lay nicer, and than it will be easier to tackle and even out. if you need more help feel free to pm me on instagram @tassharae
      thanks for watching❤️

    Can you make a video on how to cut short hair at home

    • @tassharae
      @tassharae  3 роки тому

      Absolutely, i couldnt make any new videos on other people until now because of our covid lockdown restrictions. But they changed recently and now i can start again. So i can make a video doing a short haircut, i wont be doing it on myself as i dont want my hair short, but i can do it on someone so you can see how i do it!!

    • @tiffmullen9864

      That would be cool its just im trying to find a video on how people do it on themselves i do cut my own hair and it comes out ok it just takes me a very long time lol but id still be intrested in your video . May you add tips on how we can do it on our own hair? Like maybe not actually cut your hair but show us tips? Thanks for your reply :)

      Hey Tiff, yes i completely understand wanting to see a video of someone actually doing it or showing on themselves so you know exactly how to do it. What length haircut are you wanting to learn how to do? In this video these tips can be used for many different lengths, just not super short hair. is that the length you are interested in learning more about? Let me know so i can better help you❤️

      hello, i am so sorry my video isnt useful for your hair type and length. If i had that length hair i would totally make a video for it to help you. If you do try to attempt any of the tips i gave in my video you can try doing it in sections, for anyone that has thicker hair they can do it in sections, instead of one whole section. Sorry i couldnt be of more help, thanks for watching!

      hey there, im so sorry i forgot to show the back. I only realized it after many of you mentioned it. If you want to see the back you can checkout my newest video, at the very end of the video the last minute it shows the back. Other than that i will be sure to show the back in my next haircutting video, so sorry❤️

    I wish she would have shown us the back of her hair! If you pull the back of your hair forwards, you are over directing it and so will end up with a V-Shape at the back of your hair. I want a home video that will give me a rounded U-Shape at the back.

    You say you will teach 'you guys'- but there is no male grooming at all. Think girls are guys? Remember the phrase 'guys and gals'? A guy is a bloke!

    • @tassharae
      @tassharae  3 роки тому +1

      Sorry Mike if this offended you, its just something i say, i refer to everyone as "guys" whether its a group of friends that are both male and female or just of one sex. This video can be used for male or female depending on how long their hair is as alot of males have have longer hair aswell, my son included. Would you like to see something specific on my channel?

    Wonderful video, but not many vids on bob/pixie cuts. Oh well. 🤷‍♀️

    • @tassharae
      @tassharae  3 роки тому

      Thank you so much! And ya it would be verrry hard to cut a bob or pixie on yourself because you cannot get your arms behind. It is much easier to do cuts on yourself on hair long enough to bring it forward, so thats why there is probably way more videos of medium-long haircuts on here. I would probably leave shorter haircuts to the professionals just because they can be alot more technical and it would be very hard to do on yourself. If i had short hair i would attempt it so i could try to create a tutorial for you, but unfortunately i dont have short hair so i cannot help so sorry. I hope you find a video to help, thanks for watching❤️
