Yeah that is a real life mugshot. Ronnie (the lead singer) went to prison… and when he said in the lyrics “I have been the places that you never wanna go” he meant prison.

A few weeks before this video dropped, Ronnie had Twitter beef with Sebastian Bach, who became famous in the 90s with the band Skid Row. Basically it was about Bach claimed that a "real" band wouldn't need laptops to perform (ridiculous nowadays, especially for a band that uses orchestral pieces and hip hop beats) and Ronnie calling Bach a dinosaur and hippocrit. The whole thing was hilarious. You should Google it and read their posts just for yourself. Anyways... The guy being hit by laptop in the video, was a young Bach lookalike.
Epitaph is an independent label formed by a member of Bad Religion (a very successful punk band). Ronnie is signed to them since before he was in prison. And they still trusted him afterwards, when even his former band had kicked him out. He seems to have a good contact since he owns his music. He is spending a lot of his own money for the videos. He says an awesome video is more valuable long-term than a garage full of cars. The videos are kind of a legacy thing for him.
