I got a clone too. A 50 bucks in Vietnam. Got a steel caseback and sapphire crystal. Details are very crisp. Honestly speaking much better value than the real

The replicas are hit and miss. They're cheap though so they're good for customising. I mixed a Mission to Mars replica and a Mission to Mercury replica to make my own custom Moonswatch.
You can correct the alignment on the Chronograph by pulling the crown then pushing the chrono hand forward manually with the top button to set a new Zero point. Once it's set to the 12 position, push the crown back in and it's perfectly aligned with a new zero. It's not an issue with the movement, it's just an issue with the factory not setting it correctly. All quartz chronos have this feature.
Hey yes however these have alignment issues that are very small and can not be adjusted. Basically under a second

@@gusthesailor4885 yes you can. With the crown out, the top button moves the Chrono hand and the bottom button moves the left subdials. Hold the buttons to fast forward. And yes it works on the Ali watches as they use a Sunon movement with this option.
@@slashdotism depends on the movement used in these replicas some have only one position on the crown for setting the time so most subdials cannot be reset... most ive seen have the right subdial set around 1n2 and cannot be adjusted..Plus replicas do not have the click on the pushers when u start the chrono its a soft tap n off it goes... but tbh for the money they are u cannot grumble as the rest of the watch is bob on to the original...
Honestly with some of them having metal cases and easily removable backs, the fakes may very well last longer than the originals
And sapphire glass too, lol.

@trailfork7815 it's no ordinary plastic...its a bioceramic plastic patented by swatch...and if you knew anything about swatches, you would know they run for decades without being serviced....

The movement is $50 off the shelf for the real one.
It costs £28 to make. Its 95% chinese parts. only 2 parts in the movement are swiss, but its final assembly and QC inspection are done in switzerland.

Almost embarrassed to say I bought the original Mission to Uranus, loved the colour scheme and would be a great summer watch. Unfortunately, the truth is it was trash, so much so that I doubt a fake one would be much worse and might even be better. I did sell mine to a friend not at a profit, I was glad as the top pusher fell off it in the street and it's gone. He has a warranty claim going on now. I tried to dissuade him from buying it, but he didn't listen. Anyway I was sorely disappointed that I didn't have that summer watch look I wanted until I saw an Instagram ad for a homage made in China from 316l stainless steel, with a sapphire crystal, 100m water resistance, screw down crown, and a high quality Seiko mecaquartz movement and all for around $100 equivalent including import tax. Got it three days ago, and I love it. Great quality finish, bracelet wasn't great, a bit sharp at the link edges but a bit of 320 grade emery paper soon fixed it. They even provided a free NATO if you didn't like the bracelet. I have a 25 watch collection, including the Seamaster, and this hundred dollar watch is already a favourite. I know some watch snobs might look down on this watch but there's no reason to. It doesn't claim to be an Omega and will never be confused for being a Moonswatch, it's just much better quality. Maybe it's what Omega should have made themselves. I would advise, don't buy any of the plastic ones if you have a 100 dollars, buy mine instead. Anyway excuse the long comment. Excellent video. Your Mission to the Moon's chrono hand seems to be aligning better compared to your initial video with the slight misalignment. Did you manage to fix it or is this another model?
I got one of these replica from China, It's ease to tell is not the original by looking at the Chrono second hand movement, because of the movement inside, the second hand is moving at 1/3 second against the 1 second on the original and the small dial on the 2 o'clock position is actually a 24 hours indicator so it cannot be reset ( the original is a 1/10 second indicator)! But overall it's not a bad deal, considering at such price tag!

Thank you for this. One large improvement I'd make to your video is to point out which is the real one and the fake one as you go through the video. I know you SAID it at the beginning, but once getting into the video, I lose track. A little screen text with an arrow would have been helpful. Also, at 10:40, you mention "the 44mm version." Is that the real or the fake? See what I mean?
I have two watches branded ‘Dannilu’ the sub dial on the right like the fake you seem to have is not part of the chronograph but a 24 hour indicator. Agin the ones I have have a removable back.
Do you think you could swap out the movement (on the rep) with a VK64?
I like the fake version better. Honestly, some could say that the MoonSwatch is sort of a fake of the Moon watch. I’m not a fan of plastic watches but buy what you like 😎!
the price that Swatch wants for this watch is out of this world, and in principle really much too high. they also have their watches produced in a chinese factory. the unit price is certainly not higher than 4-5 euros!

The easiest way to see fake is looking at small white arrow on second hand in 12oclock position. On the real swatch the arrow iis on the Omega name but on the fake that same arrow is on the Swatch name under the Omega name in the 12oclock position.

Correct, this is the steel caseback fake China watch. They’ve had this in production a long time and have simply repurposed it for the OXS fakes. There are also a few other fakes in plastic out there as well.

With the glass crystal and the smoother sweep of the chronograph seconds hand, I would take the fake over the real one any day. Especially with the price and availability difference!
The fake I got is almost identical to a real one, the only give away instead of the seconds hand does smaller ticks, like half seconds, where as the real does full seconds. But I mean to say side by side the are exactly the same, better than any fake I seen on UA-cam.
Box look genuine too with fake documentation the looks exact except for the little booklet showing all the range, it print is off colour slightly, but everything else is spot on
It's crazy one cost 360 euro the other 35 euro.
And if it wasn't for those 2 details I would have thought the fake was actually a genuine one I got sent by mistake
Best test is start the chrono. In original hand run second by second
The biggest difference between a fake and a real one is look at the sub-dial at the 2 o’clock position when the chrono is running. On the real one the dial shows 1/10 second (one revolution per second). On the fake it doesn’t run as it’s an am/pm indicator. So when you zero the chrono the dial doesn’t reset.
How does one search for such an item?
Nobody would care about fake moonswatches if originals were sold for 100$.
I think Swatch group may succeeded in promoting Speedmaster to the masses but they didn't in the right price.
I am sorry but i prefer the cheap and fake one than the ORIGINAL MOONSWATCH because i can open the watch to repair or to change the movement when or if it fails BUT that you cant do it on a MOONSWATCH WATCH or on any SWATCH because they are sealed you only can change the battery. AND I CAN HAVE THE 11 fakes for a price of only ONE REAL Mooswatch yes 275 diveded 11 only 25 U$S each fake watch

I bought Mission to Neptune for around 100$ on Etsy. Without a box. It looks really genuine. The letters on the case are stamped, not printed. The battery replacement is on the photo of the planet, it's not integrated with whole the case. The ONLY thing that makes me thinks is the chronograph... It doesn't work like second-after-second but the movement is fluent. But resetting is quick as in the genuine. What do you think?

Why didn’t you open the case on the real one to compare? Also the movement on the second hand mimics the movement on an automatic vs the real one is quartz movement. On mine, open the battery cover and you’ll find a decoy battery. The real battery is underneath, you’ll see it when you open the case back. I never would have bought it had I known.
Size difference is probably because they used the cheaper movement.. and adapted everything around it

Yup literally the dumbest movement, people need to quit buying this vk watches, like i have an Ingersoll with 1/10 and it was cheap so my theory is there only for people who want the look, and not function. The people who would buy a watch that doesn't actually work but looks like a Richard Mille

No thanks, i only buy chronographs with a crazy split second sub dial when i start the chrono function. I love seeing that hand go around at 1/10 of a second. I guess most people don't know about that because they just eat up vk63 type movements. But its meca-quartz!! So it doesn't matter which half the thing is useless

One thing that is. CRAZY OBVIOUS. Is the right dial function . the authentic. Has a 1/10 sec. And Fake have 24h. Thats why on the authentic. The 2 hans of the function dials are facing up. And Fake. You cant since it is always in movement 24h

Fake one is using mechaquartz probably vk64. The 2:00 dial on the fake one is actually a 24hr military time.

Made purchase on eBay..when I opened purchase would say Item had been removed..but I still received it..was described as men's or women's fashion watch and had logo print over areas in photos..so now I have a bootleg Mission to Mercury.
Got the entire MoonSwatch set of 11 watches for under $32. each.
IMO why pay premium $ for junk when you can have basically the same watch for an 1/8th of the price.

Don't buy fake watches from China or turkey. Only buy masterpiece watches from that swiss guy (the name of the page in the comment). First they will last forever second you can't tell if they are fake and best part you can sell them as original. Only bad thing is you need to go on the waiting list first but hey it's worth it.

I finally got a real moonswatch today. I bought a $100 copy about a year ago & I is so accurate, only the packaging and the sweep second hand give it away. I a way, I think the copy is better & probably has a better movement. It would be great if I could attach photos.
