This kit really works. His instructions are on point! The polishing cloth really helps as well as rubbing in the polywatch before hand. Highly recommend this kit! Thank you!
I highly recommend buying 'Healing Shield' ... (curved fit) protection film for the plastic crystal, fits a charm and prevents scratches, go for the 30mm size.
Have you used it on the moonswatch? I was looking for something exactly like this, just not sure what size. Mine already has a ton of fine scratches :/
Great instructions, cleared up the scratches on my moonswatch. One extra tip is you really do need to apply a lot of pressure with the cloth. I was fairly gentle at first and it didn't work but when I pressed firm, it worked.
You would not trash it in one afternoon. I’ve had one for a year. I’m a poker dealer at it has been fine. Don’t listen to bull shit. If you like it but it.
It helped me a lot, now my moonswatch looks like new. Thank you :) For additional protection I used hydrogel protector (31 mm) which is even difficult to notice after sticking it on the glass.
Nice video, enjoyed the instructions on using the Polywatch, I'll be sure to try your method. As for the Moonswatch, it's just another reason NOT to get it.
i actually ordered Poly Watch yesterday so the timing of your video is so welcome....thanks , i will follow your advice.👍... i'm not using it for my MoonSwatch, i have a 16 year old swatch that needs the Poly Watch treatment, i love the Moonswatch but my Swatch Irony all stainless steel chronograph is the one i really really love.
I have a casioak and a moonswatch and the casioak is 1000x better quality wise. I wear the casioak dialy and it looks brand new, my moonswatch is already full of fine scratches after only 2 wears and it was while going out for brunch and dinner not doing yard work or anything crazy.
Seems like a really fragile watch. Perhaps the best way to truly preserve it would be to cover it completely in a massive clear acrylic cube - like one of those see-through trophies people make for awards. Then you could put the watch on the shelf as eternal decoration.
I got my MoonSwatch „professionally“ polished in a Swatch Store two days ago and the completely ruined it. The Glas had multiple little craters with 0.5-1mm diameter on it. It looked like bubbles from applying too much pressure on the crystal while polishing it. It now got replaced but still it was a quite bad experience to see how a three week old watch got destroyed by untrained staff.
I ceramic coated my Vostok's acrylic crystal, case and bezel to help prevent scratches. I wonder if that would help here or if the plastic is so soft it would scratch anyway.
i got mission in earth, after a week, it got 3 scratches already and i cant believe how easily it scratches! if you’re planning to get one for everyday use - might as well get another watch. This watches is probably not meant to be worn just for display
Wore mine twice, the first time it scratched on my jacket sleeve. Second time it scratched on a book cover, the book scratch is so bad I can’t even see the 3 nr on it anymore
Tried polywatch but it cannot bring back the luster of the acrylic crystal.. i have couple of acrylic crystal vintage watch and only this moonswatch having a hard time bringing back its luster.. while visible scratches disappear.. swirl marks just cant be removed
Für alle deutschen Kollegen unter uns, dass mit dem Polywatch und Watte/ Poliertuch auf der MoonSwatch, funktioniert ernsthaft - nach ca. 10 min ist das Glas wie neu! LG Ben
This watch should have had a G-shock type resin/shock resistant adventure worthy construction, for the price. It didn’t have to be luxury, just durable. It could have been a complete home run with long term production viability for both brands. Now it’s going to lose it’s lustre and eventually be a liability for the brand as this relatively expensive cheap watch starts to disintegrate.
It's sad that Swatch decided to make this rather pricey watch delicate to the point of absurdity. I was intending to buy one but even at half the cost it would still be an insult and that's what really hurts. Such contempt for customers will only increase considering the very strong reception this thing had. We can only hope for a backlash as the reality sinks in.
@@MARG509 I do know that but not for the price of a high quality proper watch with a sapphire crystal that's available from any company that still has a little respect for their customers.
I like your content man but I’ve owned one of these for a few weeks and I think that whole jacket thing is a little over the top. And the ticking thing was presumably meant as a joke. It’s like people who say the miyota has a really loud rotor that you can hear in a cinema or whatever. The quartz in this is no louder than any other. And certainly not as loud as you mentioned. It’s on my wrist now and I don’t hear anything and I’m in a quite room.
@@BraveBeaters 😂 I think you’re joking but I’m not sure 😂 maybe I got lucky then with a quite one. No worries though, still enjoy your content. Maybe I’m just not hearing so good 😉
I bought it the day it came out. I hate to admit that despite the design being rather beautiful, it is a terrible watch: it feels cheap, the colour bled on my wrist, and it scratches. I bought it as beater watch, but it certainly is unsuitable as a daily beater.
I've had my Moonswatch for 3 weeks and it has already got scratches all over the crystal. So disappointed in the poor quality of this watch. Going to polish it up like this and sell it on as I can't wear a watch that is this delicate.
Dumbest watches honestly. I kept my in the box the whole time because I was scared of damaging it and because of that felt like it was pointless so I went to go sell it back but when I tried they would not accept it because they said there were scratches on the crystal
Better buy the Pagani Design speedmaster hommage! Costs€130,- and has a sapphire crystal! Japanese quartz movement and is waterproof up to 100mtr. Looks the same only has the Pagani brand and no Omega written on it. For many... that's an issue! I think it is the PD-1701.....but i'm not entirely sure. In US dollars it's even cheaper!
I bought one of those. Yes it has sapphire and a decent VK63 meccaquartz movement but: the bracelet is not well made, very rough and links aren't articulating correctly, there's dust on the dial and the bezel is misaligned. I sent it back. The thing with Pagani Design is you get what you get for the price, once you're lucky, and in my case, several times not so lucky.
@@jrgdrumsandwatches Oké, but i bet you paid only about $100,-. The strap on the "Moonswatch" sucks aswell! Put the Pagani on a decent leather strap. And i prefer some dust specs above all those scratches. At the end you still paid half.
@@woesteloepi. i'm done with Pagani, 4 out of 5 watches I had to return, bad chinese GMT movement not working, scratches on the bezel, misaligned hands, crown not possible to screw in, maybe it's just bad luck but from Aliexpress I would pay doubke and get a San Martin. Way better in everyway, easily worth the extra money.
@@woesteloepi. yes thank you for that and sorry I keep repeating myself but Pagani Design is worth nothing. I mean really nobody would buy a second hand one. On the other hand for the same price as the MoonSwatch there are cool microbrand options. Dan Henry for example, great value for around 250$.
Yeah, definitely don't wear a jacket if you're wearing the moonswatch, especially if it s a good jacket, because the velcro on the strap will damage the jacket. What a waste of money it was to buy this piece of crap. Save your money or buy something better.

I doubt about it. The window is either mineral (non polishable) or sapphire (non polishable)
