The worst things about the fakes is... that there will be always a seller who sells a fake as "pre-owned original" for a slightly lower price than original...
A shame the replica that was used was an early one - the later versions have engraved backs that are identical, made of plastic so very light, correct glass, have the inset sub-dials, have the markings on the crown, have correct straps, have the correct press markings, have the engraved "s" on the glass and the hidden print above "swiss made" (both of these markers weren't covered in the video?) - also there is one hugely obvious tell on the replica and is still there in the later versions.....

Easy. The original ones with the small hand at the 2-pm dial always point all the way up at 12pm. In fakes the subdial do not work at the chrono function.
You forgot to mention at least two other things like 1- the subdial at 2" in the real one, that counter hand always points to "12" position as part of the Chrono functions, while the fake points anywhere coz it is a 10-hr subdial, not a counter dial and not part of the chrono function. 2- The Chronograph seconds hand ticks once per second on the real one, while in the fake it ticks like a mechanical chronograph. The reason for that is coz the Real one uses the ETA G10-212 plastic quartz movement, while the fake one uses the Seiko VK6x metal movement. I actually prefer the functions of the ETA, but the Seiko is a better movement so the replica is kind a better watch than the real original one, and will last longer and can be serviced when needed, not the original.
Now a year later the replicas have gone a far way. I purchased a couple of the replicas and I can tell you EVERY difference mentioned in this video has been fixed and this thing is undistinguishable from the real thing. Even with all the fixes it still is only $20.

Firstly, it is nice having omega badge on your watch (i think swatch owns Omega brand) and it has nice design as watch, but honestly almost 300 euros or dollars for a "plastic" (bioceramic states but it is like plastic) are way too much money. Shortly after ,a lot of people discovered that a Moonswatch faded away its colour on the wrist, makes it even worse. Someone who gives that amount of money to buy a nice watch, doesnt expect to has this kind of problems. Secondly, it is super easy to copy that watch, because it has cheap parts to copy. A lot of people said that the fake ones are much solid watches with better quartz movement. For 30$ I might buy one only to have as a backup watch for my house activities. In conclusion, I firmly believe that anyone should better buy a watch authentic at a decent reasonable price (in that money you can buy a nice Tissot Chronograph that is authentic, swiss made and more solid than that) and that is the big fraud of the Swatch company. That they chose to make a watch that is plastic in its base, with cheap parts and overprice it without reason only because Omega brand holds the value.

Real one will cost less than £20 to make. However the money gone into development, design and all the high end machinery to make such watch cost a lot more in comparison to the ones fake use
I note the fake has a proper mecha-quartz movement, unlike the gen!
Sidenote, you can get a real fake stainless steel, hardlex crystal, steel bracelet Seiko mecha-quartz movement Omega Speedmaster for well under £150.
We’re can I get this $20 knock off?
Bought one sure its mecaqaurtz the hand sweeps instead of ticks.
Anyone got a link for the 20$ tho
Where you buy this clone? Please answer!
i have a fake saturn version and the sub-dials are the same as the original ! (I payed $25 for the fake)
Give me link to buy the watch
oh but i do suppport replica watches you gotta understan not every one has rolex money or gets paid by youtube
Mine fake MoonSwatch has sunken sub dials and branded crown. The back is also pressed not printed. It is made of plastic. The chinese have stepped up the game
That’s a bad fake. You can find a much better one for around $35.
Can you send me the link?
Where
Links fam, links
Search r/chinatime
What's the link
$20 fakes now have signed crowns, the strap material is identical, the battery hatch is identical, the engraved text on the back is identical. Not sure where you get your fakes from, but this one of the worst I've seen
This video is almost 2 years old now. I'm sure they've got much better. This was close to release.
@@TopTierTicker True true, great vid and thanks for your service!
Authenticity is important, but the end of the day it's just a watch. If a watch cost more than $100 your paying too much. 😂
Where to buy knockoff?
The fake looks better than the original, extra weight is not a bad thing as is the better strap
Where can I purchase the fake?
People making fakes of the Moonswatch (cheaply made plastic tat) is some Rick & Morty level nonsense... it's garbage to begin with.
😂😂😂 That's true. But if there's a demand, there's a product.
@@TopTierTicker absolutely!
so the fake is better built...and same accurate movement...huh?!
Original.
Can´t be repaired / replaced.
The cover is made of plastic.
Cost 200 dollars.
Fake
You can repair or even change the caliper.
Cover made of glass.
Cost 20 dollars (the real price).
Ufff, it's hard to choose wich to buy.
What's so shocking about this? That companies that can make convincing copies of real watches like Rolex and Omega can make convincing copies of McDonald's toy watches?
Two words that should never be used together "Legit" and "Moonswatch".
The Fauxmega Moonswatch is a fake watch to begin with so I absolutely LOVE this! How hard can it be to reproduce a cheap but overpriced piece of trash? I want one just to spit in Swatch's face and I say this as someone who owns a Tissot.
They’re probably about the same quality too at the end of the day. LOL.
At the moment selling prices on the secondary market are dropping. I guess Swatch have finally decided to increase the output of this toy?
They are indeed, they seemed to have dropped around 20% which is good. I think people are starting to realise that these aren't as much as an investment watch as first imagined.
*cough* link plz?
Where can I buy fake ones? Paying 270 for piece of plastic is dumb
Where dud you get the fake? I want one 🤣
I would buy both but i would wear the fake one so teg original one wouldn't have any scratches on it
Seems like all the clones have been purged from AliExpress
Where can I get a replica? For science
I want a fake moonswatch with an upgraded leather strap. 👌🏼 Wear it until it breaks or falls apart for everyday work.
If I mod it out with a stainless steel case!,would it be considered fake!, or add some real diamonds and a beautiful leather strap 🤔!, ( would that be considered Fake ?)
