Ive watched toni that guys an inspiration just as much as a depression to watch. I will never do something as cool as ive seen him do. That guys unstoppable
Good to see Husky following in the footsteps of the wildly successful 1976 Yamaha YZ 125 and its air forks. Look for a re jigged automatic transmission from them in 2018 I reckon.. I think Boi was genetically engineered in a Spanish lab from the DNA of the most awesome trials riders / circus acrobats ever.
I rode a 2017 300exc yesterday WITH a clake on it and it's a slice of heaven. I can't compare it to my 13 yz450, two different machines entirely, but I want another 250-300 smoker soon.
Another great video! !! I have enjoyed every one I've watched so far. I to am an old fart who likes to ride a little slower these days. Thanks for posting them I need all the help I can get, keep up the hard work it is appreciated! !!!
Srsly Barry you just got to come ride with Jonathan English Dave Southam etc in Arden next year. That steep bank pales compared to the rock these guys climb seemingly effortlessly. Another fun video of course. OH and I watch Tony B all the time, I can now manage 10cm high in one leap !
Just got a 2017 300 XC and have about 5hr on it, trying to get in all the riding I can with winter on the way here in NWT, Canada. Love the bike. Came off a 14 WR450F and for me at 140lbs the weight savings makes the new bike incredibly fun to ride. We've had air forks on snowmobile for years now with little issue I think it's going to be good for the consumer to have these options. Jetting was poor but with a JD Jetting kit this bike is unreal! Might be looking at a 350 EXC to compliment it in the future though. Love your videos keep up the good work!
One thing Barry has mentioned was we are spoiled with choices and that most of us aren't riding the bikes to their potential anyway. I have a 2016 TE 300, 2013 350 EXC-F and a 2006 WR450F at my place and I ride them back to back. As crazy different as each bike is there is not a lot on the trails that is going put a lot of distance between most bikes in the last 15 years. True that the 450 takes a lot more work to ride fast but if you are just having fun on trails and not looking to race everything you can ride almost all the same stuff on either of the bikes. Unless you are smoking the competition on race day whatever bike you get is going to be good.
NO NO Yeah nothing against the WR it's a great bike, just being a smaller guy it wasn't the right bike for me. Probably would have been better off with a YZ250FX if I wanted to get another 4T.
Very good point. Being smaller is hard. That's why the good Enduro riders are all tall. The WR is a fat pig but a really stable fat pig with easy to ride power. Good bike but probably not the best compared to the KTM and Betas we have now.
Thanks for the feedback.. few have ridden the Beta 300 and the 17 300 ktm husky so it's interesting to see a little info on the comparison a little... and you have ridden both for a while.
Coming from the 2016 rr 300 to the 2017 Kato 300 exc. I have to say , the Kato is leaps & bounds ahead . I have nothing bad to say about my old beta apart from premature wear on parts that seem to not last as long and need a bit more tlc and the softer supension that needs a fair bit of work to get it to play . All can be sorted with a bit of time an $$ . My ride this weekend on the 2017 Ktm confirmed for me that I made the right decision the new design with counterbalance for anti vibration is a god send for long rides . Not even a tingle in the fingers from riding all levels of terrain and the suspension soaked up everything which is stock standard . At the end of the day it's all rider preference , you get beta lovers vs Kato lovers but if your a good rider you can make any bike do what you want .
CROSS TRAINING ENDURO SKILLS all bikes are a depreciating asset and some lose their re sale value more than others , it's a toss up whether you want to spend the money to get the bike you want . Or pay a few thousand dollars extra on a cheaper bike to get it to perform like the bike you want . kinda ends up around the same $$ at the end of the day.
been watching a bunch of Tony Boulevard lately, just bought my first trials bike based on all your recommendations from all your videos, left my 200xcw at home last weekend and did about 80 miles of trails on my montesa 315r and I should have taken your advice sooner this trials bike is an absolute game changer, I had such a blast and was hitting shit that I wouldn't even think to attempt on my 200. I think in a year I will be at a completely different level of riding and I'll have to find new friends to ride with. lol
it's very cool isn't it? if i had the money and space i'd certainly have a trials bike and would still be involved in my club. if i can get my hands on a beta xtrainer i could always slap trials tyres on a second set of wheels and use that. :)
Was considering stopping watching the gumbies' videos since they made me depressed about my own riding skills. Then I saw their compilation of crashes and realized they could make mistakes too!
I would probably own a Beta if it were $2000 cheaper than a KTM/Husky in the US ! As far as the potential problems of a new bike, remember that Brembo makes the front brakes not KTM/Husky, so that has nothing to do with the new model.
if you know anyone with one of the new wr250 or wr450 you should do a review on them for us because it doesn't seem like there are many good reviews on them at this point in time
you can change the ktm about being that aggressiv. i dont know the words in english but you can change between 3 springs in the jetting or something like that :D and you'll get less power output so its a bit smoother but slower. maybe thats why the betas are that smooth. they simply got no power :D
those are power valve springs. It changes how the exhaust flow rate works. heavier springs keeps the exhaust valve closed. lighter springs opens the exhaust valve faster. Opening the valve increases top end power but can reduce low end power.
That was fun! I love steep stuff, but I don't think I'm up to a lot the steeps you guys do. At least not the vertical stuff. On the price of Austrian iron in Oz... I'm astounded! $3000 more than a Beta?! Wha?! I bleed orange, but I'd find a way to be happy with a Beta. These days that would be a state that would be pretty easy to attain... I have to wonder why the great cost difference there? Suggested retail for Betas here used to run just below $1000 less than comparable KTMs/Huskies. But the last couple years the gap has closed to just a few hundred dollars. And the recent advancements for the Austrian machines has made them seem worth the extra price. But three grand?! NO way! I'd be riding Italian red all the way!
our dollar is only around US70c at the moment but many say our wholesalers and distributors here are to blame for much of the costs here. i know the beta distributor takes only a very small % which kicks the prices down here more.
CROSS TRAINING ENDURO SKILLS I realize the Aus Dollar is down a bit from the USD, but that's still over $2000 US. That's outrageous! Like I said, I'd be riding red and I don't mean Honda. Who I understand from other Aus sources also overcharges down under. Together they're both worse than Alaska motorcycle dealers! LOL!!
Hey I am thinking about starting a motorbike riding channel on UA-cam but don't know the first thing about making motorbike riding videos (not to mention that I'm not the best motorbike rider ever) , could you please give me a few pointers on how to start off and what videos I should make. Much appreciate it plus love the videos keep it up 👍
already done vids about filming and camera mounts etc joey: ua-cam.com/video/vf7Ls_mZCs4/v-deo.html and i put this list together too: advrider.com/index.php?threads/any-tips-for-better-motorbike-videos.702090/
i felt no difference really... and i've heard test riders say the opposite about each bike too which is weird. maybe it comes down to different body shapes?
Evan Spiteri tx has stiffer suspension and no lights and close ratio trans. TE has wide ratio and soft enduro suspension and lights. If that was your question
$8 a month and that's how I get treated :') lol! I actually looked it up and it's spelled Toni Bou. Thought (after not finding a channel with that name) that maybe the channel's name wasn't his name but something like HugePenis67, but I guess not!
actually he may not have a channel which would be surprising... i figure he'd have a bit of marketing support from his sponsors to tee up a channel. but trials is a comparatively small sport so there's probably no one to do it for him. :(
tell you what though the spaces you have to ride... wow !! envious... England's green and pleasant land is wonderful till your inch thick in wet horrible mud and every orrifice of you n your bike is wedged full of crap making everything weigh a TON and you'd kill for a change for what you have lol
Great to see husky really get back into the game. I ride a 93 wxc 250 2smoker love it check it out on our page. you guys keep up the good work. Great videos good info
Motocross guys don't get the wood most of my friends r the motocross guys they can ride better than I can on a track. I tell them all the time ride the woods have fun.
Wow! You really outdone yourself with this disclaimer. LOL. If you continue like that, you will soon replace our divine microbrain master, Donald Trump. Of course, beating Donald at this mindless game requires a lot of practice and natural talent, but you seems to have what it takes. We want you as President. As for Tony Boo, with 20 indoor and outdoor trial championships, we are faced with a freak of nature. His alien brain is certainly too big for our Harley pea size brain club. Another Tony is not too bad at motorcycling either, with 8 FIM world championship motocross titles... This is just unreal. Next time I meet a guy named Tony I will make a genuflection instead of shaking his hand.
i know reece from 3D racing solved his jetting issues with the JD kit, but he does do a lot of altitude changes in BC canada and has issues with most bikes
Ive watched toni that guys an inspiration just as much as a depression to watch. I will never do something as cool as ive seen him do. That guys unstoppable

I so get this! You made wipe a tear from my eye, O' the memories.
I love how the still image at 1:42 looks like it's moving or bouncing around.
I rode a 2017 300exc yesterday WITH a clake on it and it's a slice of heaven. I can't compare it to my 13 yz450, two different machines entirely, but I want another 250-300 smoker soon.
Gumbys.... mmmmm not so much. Y'all are pretty damn good. The commentary on the last part was hilarious and the footage was amazing. Cheers!
Another great video! !! I have enjoyed every one I've watched so far. I to am an old fart who likes to ride a little slower these days. Thanks for posting them I need all the help I can get, keep up the hard work it is appreciated! !!!
a pleasure colin, i'll be doing a vid or two specifically for us old farts soon

300 xc or a tx 300 would be my choice! Good choice id say
One thing Barry has mentioned was we are spoiled with choices and that most of us aren't riding the bikes to their potential anyway. so true mark about a good rider you can make any bike do what they want. if i stay with beta it will probably because they are so much cheaper here.
CROSS TRAINING ENDURO SKILLS all bikes are a depreciating asset and some lose their re sale value more than others , it's a toss up whether you want to spend the money to get the bike you want . aha, you've probably done more marketing for beta than they have! they should be giving you an Xtrainer!
great vids, I really like the awesome scenery.
Was considering stopping watching the gumbies' videos since they made me depressed about my own riding skills. Then I saw their compilation of crashes and realized they could make mistakes too!
great vid, thanks! I am strongly considering a RR300 upgrade and was curious about the new K&H models
Should do a gasgas review
I have just gotten my 2017 tx300 last week an keen to try it out one of 60 in Australia I was told
I love my 17 TE300.
Tony is a monster!
This rare type of monster is called an alien.
I have rode some of those rock faces before. They are a lot harder than they look. Coming back to McNutt anytime soon?
hopefully this summer.... ua-cam.com/video/DBTSq8OdWIc/v-deo.html

hey Barry you do know those are bmw engines in the KTM husky
Another great, I mean dodgy vid. How do you like the Klim Mojave gloves? Are they durable and comfortable?
they seem to be phil... they are very light so expected them to wear through quickly but still going strong
When I see insane shit like Toni bou pro mxers Jarvis i just don't compare it to anything I do. It's on a completely different level
What state do you guys ride in
agreed tony bou is going down

CROSS TRAINING ENDURO SKILLS thanks I'll give them a look
you have a perfectly good road in front of you yet you choose the path less taken
Was Scott dropping the clutch on that step up ?
good question thomaz, it sounds as though he was. that was the 200exc so not surprised if he did to get the acceleration.
Try a TM!!!
Fuck I love your videos man!! ...
Love 'em!
Ya hear me boy! Love 'em ! Goddammit!
What's the difference between te300 and tx300? How low could i lower this bike? My wife is only 5'6" with 29 inch inseam !
What's Tony's channel? i want to see him in action :)
hi, i am getting 2ND HAND KTM, I got 2in sight one for 2008 and other from 2010, which is the best?since you had one 2010 what you think of it=?
already done a vid about the ktm models over the years
Is the one from the pros and cons of Ktm?
just curious guys, do you find the beta feels more open and tall guy friendly than the KTM? also, do you feel it turns better?
thanks!
i felt no difference really... and i've heard test riders say the opposite about each bike too which is weird. maybe it comes down to different body shapes?
I'm 14 about 55 to 60 kg but a 300 be to powerful for me
what action camera do you use?
gopro black 4: ua-cam.com/video/YFk-TvP1d9g/v-deo.html
Cool thank you
do you do anything to help the wind sound?
Does anybody know husqvarna te 300 2017 how many horsepower has?
Dunno about horsepower but my 2017 ktm 300 exc is a beast . Whatever the figures are , its a handful on the pipe
here in the states beta is the outrageous expensive machine
how much more than ktm? i know in canada the betas are about $300 cheaper than the ktm models.
+CROSS TRAINING ENDURO SKILLS I'm in the states and the Betas in my area are cheaper then the Kato's. Not by much though
dementedspirit1 300 isn't much
SOB Stole my line (coffee for a extra vid) context taken from Goodwill Hunting) excuse the pun
TX 300 vs TE 300?
Evan Spiteri tx has stiffer suspension and no lights and close ratio trans. TE has wide ratio and soft enduro suspension and lights. If that was your question
Can't find Toni Bou's channel! any help? :)
try different spelling the way everyone else does? bow, boh, boe, beau.... lol

Hey from UK m8 can you do one on the xtrainer please ? thanks be safe :-)
already done it... several times ua-cam.com/video/vf7Ls_mZCs4/v-deo.html
forgive my gumbyness lol
ah we all suffer that... and will do so for the rest of our lives lol

Do you have a rainy season ?
so if i watch Tony Bou for at least an hour i might give up buying a Xtrainer. I still feel hopeless anyway.
Great to see husky really get back into the game. I ride a 93 wxc 250 2smoker love it check it out on our page. you guys keep up the good work. Great videos good info
Looks like he'd have it right off if the gravels wasn't a traction problem.
Haha what ever it takes such a funny bugger
Motocross guys don't get the wood most of my friends r the motocross guys they can ride better than I can on a track. I tell them all the time ride the woods have fun.
LOL I agreed in the end reagarding Toni Bou videos. I hate him so much
For God sake man, stop Toni Bou from posting Yotuube videos!
amen
ZzzaaaaaAAAAPPPP !
