That is the exact same locomotive and road name of my first DCC locomotive! I don't see CN around these parts (Kansas City, where BNSF and KC Southern yards are near), but I needed a DCC engine to try out with the Digitrax controller I had purchased, and this was all they had in stock. Their retail price was crazy.
I'm a european model railwayer and I though about buying american locomotives, but my problem was that all of the diesel ones has the same shape (mostly and I find it boring a bit), but I love the steam locomotives and I has a collection of german, polish and yugoslav and primarly hungarian trains most of them from Epoch V or VI. I loved the video and I work with TT scale (1:120). I buy usually Tillig Bahn or Busch.
Wow awesome new locomotive! It looks really premium, athearn makes great stuff, I like that it’s based on the locomotive at your local yard that you’re modeling. Can’t wait to see it on your layout :)

It looks like they may have painted those old faded GP40s to grey and blue! At least from what I see in Windsor Colorado. I still want to model the old faded one, maybe no quite as much. Hope all is well with you, sounds like you have a lot of folks that miss you…

Yo man I just got a Walther's mainline union Pacific sd70ace and the detail isn't athearn level but still has a lot of detail! And it's my smoothest running locomotive yet! (Considering all my other ones are used)

Athearn makes good engines especially there Genesis line but they are pricey. Scale Trains are probably even better but you do pay a lot for those. I also like Atlas as well and those are usually a little cheaper
His content posting schedule is very inconsistent, but I'm sure he is just focusing on other things in life. Afterall, producing videos is a lot of work. I'm sure his channel would grow a lot if he posted more, considering he is already at nearly 11k subscribers which is amazing! We can hope and wait for a future update. 🤞
I used Atlas code 100 flextrack and I can’t remember the turnouts right now. The track in the thumbnail of the video is Atlas Code 83 track though which is a little more realistic but you pay slightly more for it
Walthers code 83 is better in my opinion when compared to other brands of code 100 or 83. If you can find the deal, 10 pieces for $60 then that makes it worth it.

I have an sd70ace, a 4014 and the 844 all from athearn genesis and they are absolutely fantastic models
