I like how when Eda went to Bump to let Luz attend school his file on her was so much smaller than Faust’s. It really drives home how much more lenient Bump is as a principal, and Eda’s comment then of, “I thought there’d be more,” was a little sincere because there genuinely was more.
Goes to show that is actually a REALLY good principal, and he always wanted to do what was the best for the students
I love how, if you go back to Raine drinking the potion at the parade, you can hear the whistle clear as day. They've been playing Snapdragon the whole time

You can actually see a hint to Raine changing the teas properties when we first met Terra at the parade
Something about the apple blood... Eda is obviously obsessed with it, and the drink was introduced to her by Raine. I think Eda has been using it as a way to try and cope from when Raine broke up with her.
I'm pretty sure Raine has been doing that trick the entire time. But they doesn't want Eda getting involved so when Eda tried to rescue them, they kept up the act.

The tragedy of Eda is that in a just society, her talent, intelligence and drive would have been celebrated, but under Belos corrupt and restrictive regime, her refusal to join a coven made her a pariah, an outcast.
Ironically considering that Belos is actually her great grand uncle 400ish years removed its kinda funny. Gotta wonder if he was already aware of the time travel shenanigans and rigged it so that Lilith and Eda would have to fight leading to the curse and Lilith eventually repenting to travel back in time so that luz could give himself the final glyph and help him find the Collector. Motherfucker was on the ball.
Thanks to this episode, I wanna see Raine's whistle become an actual ability bards can use in TTRPGs
Well if your bard in 5E takes a level of artificer, cleric, druid, or paladin you can take the "purify food or drink spell." Then flavor it as using your whistle to cast the spell.

@@SilverScribe85 probably unless you work with your DM to house rule something different. The DM would need to decide if the contents were magic based or a physical poison type of deal
The purify food and drink spell doesn't normally appear on a bard's spell list and only works on poisons and diseases
That said if the drink were enchanted by magic, rather than being a natural poison, bards do have access to the 3rd level abjuration spell "Dispel magic" in which case you can end a magical effect on a creature or item.
So for example if the tea was enchanted with magical mind control energies. You could stealthily attempt to cast Dispel Magic and flavor it as you whistling while blowing into the cup.
I've read that the game Terra has the kids take part in is based on actual competitions schools used to encourage to promote "us vs them" mentalities. Which is so messed up it's probably true.
Given that American public schools were set up to make people better suited for mindless factory jobs I wouldn't be surprised
As 'imposing' as Principal Fuast is, I just chuckle at the neck tilting because you just know he does it from years of swinging those long horns around and knocking things over. Not very threatening when you dramatically turn. "So we meet again--*sounds of glass breaking* Titan! Not again!"

terra is so dang crazy. I've seen theories that its because of Terra that willow's dad's wanted her in a different track, but seeing how strong and happy she is with plant magic they put their fears/concerns aside. I think Willow is strong enough to handle Terra

This. This episode catapult Raine into being one of my favorite characters in this show. Not only have I always loved the concept of there being magic in music, but they're just a badass in their own right
Gotta wonder if Odalia got parenting tips from Terra because thats probably the only plausable explenation for why she turned out so bad.
I absolutely LOVE that Lilith loves her sister so much that later in life she straightens her hair to be more like Eda. It'd be adorable to see her become more comfortable being herself and welcome the curlies back at some point.

I believe you can see Willow's dads at kids during the HECK event, so you can see why they didn't want their daughter in the plant coven given who leads it.
My theory is that the demon claw glyph combo is the abomination side of glyphs, so could theoretically be used to create jean-luc.

This show is insanely detailed wtf I thought they were blowing on it because it was hot. Raine is a real one fr I hope they patch things up with Eda after all this is done.

The previous principle’s design was too good to only use in one episode.
Piecing this together with other flashbacks of kid Eda explains why she no longer wanted to be in a coven.

And there's the second reason I'm not keen on Raine. It's perfectly understandable and relatable to want to keep your loved ones out of a bad situation. What isn't is trying to do so when they're *already involved.*
Raine and the others are in the perfect positions to know that Eda and her family are still people of interest to Belos, regardless of whether they're actively being pursued or not. Raine keeping up this charade is actively keeping Eda in the dark about what they know of Belos' plans, and if he decides that he wants to deal with her, out of either necessity to some facet of his plan or pettiness?
Raine and the others will have to scramble to warn her, which risks not only blowing their covers, but not making it in time to begin with.
Yes, Raine wanting to keep Eda safe is a good thing, but how they go about it is wrong. She's not ***their's*** to protect, not to mention that she's been in this fight for 30 years. All they're doing is breaking her heart with pretending to be brainwashed and keeping her in an information blackout, something that could get her *killed*.
