But then I heard this song which changed everything. I was convinced that this music was way better than Jihad. Metallica is the reason I didn't go back to Afghanistan to take part in a war in which countless people were killed. Metallica prevented one Afghan teenager from becoming a potential terrorist. Thank you Metallica!

SAME!!! Saw them open for Ozzy on The Damage Incorporated tour!!! I was only 13 and my young mind was blown away!!! I’m so glad I had the pleasure of seeing the legend performing on bass. He was an absolutely beast performing live so tragic he passed away months after this show.

Man, those were good days and not a care in the world but just pure adrenaline on volume 11. To see them back then and to see kids today doing no different is pretty damn metal AF!
That was clean, fast and beautiful. Never ever forget how much these guys changed the face of metal forever. And can still deliver the goods all these years later. 🤘🙂🤘

I may never see them live, but these guys were my musical idols growing up. At least we get to see them via the internet, versus not at ALL back in the day if you were low income, before the internet.....ROCK!!!!
Robert may lack the stage presence of Jason, but he is a hell of a bass player! And I tend to think he has the best sound of all Metallica bassists, at least to my ear.
I think that just comes with the band as a whole having the best (or at least the most refined) sound that they've ever had, which makes sense. They had 40 years to perfect it.
My second Metallica experience. Went the Friday before in Chicago. I will go to every Metallica concert that can ever go too. Two of the best nights of my life.
