I use a circular saw with the blade reversed to cut IBCs. The plastic mostly melts into ribbons that are easy to collect instead of spraying plastic shavings everywhere. This is especially good if you're not on a concrete surface where sweeping or vacuuming isn't possible.
I just found your channel. While searching how to make a fish tank from these bulk containers. I really enjoyed the video and I’m going to scribe to your channel. Did I hear you say you are from South Carolina in the video? I’m from South Carolina as well.
I've wanted to get into raising fish for a while. I want to raise eatable fish but I'm having trouble deciding which kind, any suggestions? This will definitely help, thank you. I subscribed to your channel and will be binge watching your videos now.
Tilapia is probably the cheapest/most popular food fish people grow. Not the best nutrition wise but they grow fast and big. Great for aquaponics as well.
Depends if you want rare for value or best sellers. I like all fish so I asked my local store what do want that you can't get and I'll breed that. They loved the latest question and gave me a list 😅 pleco are common and cheap swordtails in most places are good hits and I do shrimp as well.
Do you find it less expensive to heat the room with all your totes rather than put heaters in all of them? Also what do you recommend for filtration on a 275g tote?
we have a 2100sqft facility Heating the room is the ONLY cost effective method. you can build a DIY filter for totes. i have the build video on this You tube channel
Do you think you came make a video lining and ibc tote for fish farm. I have an ibc tote but it held motor oil. Do you think you can line it with something to make it useful
@@ronscichlids I put the fish in through the hole that came with the IBC. I have rainbow trout, so I think they will fit through the hole taking them out. I just wanted to see if there was another advantage to cutting off the top.
I am looking for about your product place lace me a message. When I post this , I am looking for more information no this. I am looking for more information where to get your totes at and how much were they cost and what kind do I need to look for I want to use them for a greenhouse for hydoronics indoor gardening in Or hydroponic with fish And I want to use them for storing water
I may have a complicated question here but I hope that you can help me out. I would like to configure 2 IBC grow beds side by side on TOP of the tank. I have built a frame around the tank to hold the weight of the beds. I think I will still need a sump tank but can I use a 55 gallon drum? Do I need a bell syphon for each grow bed? They will be in the basement with grow lights and limited space. How would I plumb that as compact and as efficiently as possible? Are worms a good alternative to solid waste tank? I have the 2 IBC beds and tank cut and I have all lights, pumps, heaters, timers and everything that is needed so I would really appreciate any honest opinion from any of you gardeners that have done this or have any suggestions. Good luck to everyone that is starting out like I am. Thanks to all of you! Please feel free to contact me at: bylo_mylo@yahoo.com

@@ronscichlids thank you
Does this work with saltwater fish? And do i need a pump or something to keep fish alive. Planning to put the fish i catch from the ocean in here.
it would work for any type fish. you would need to either filter the water or pump new water in old water out
❤❤❤

Don't risk it. They are cheap enough, I would find a clean one
What is the advantage to cutting off the top instead of leaving the smaller hole that it came with?
how else would you be able to put fish in or take them out?
