Could see it was a Spec 1 GTS-T from the thumb nail 🙈 At least you know the engine won't be over revved with the 4 speed slush box. I've had my manual R33 for 17 years 🥴
@STANLIZ4 I just like his dry quiet humour, he can say so much with just a look or a couple of words. The video was really good because I think the whole team bounced off each other but still stayed a team. I guess if u dnt like having the p@ss taken out of yourself then dnt work at REP, lol 😆 Ricky, just be aware of how many projects u have, lol 😆 I really wanna see the Nobel up and running
Absolutely brilliant, dry stored in a puddle ha ha, classic, fuel pump looks like it’s from Dave’s Jones locker, what could go wrong, superb teamwork, like a F1 crew, cheers guys & Kate 👍
Check the front strut mounts, as they are double layered and they rust out from the inside. Ironically the r32 doesn't do it , as it single layered steel. As I know you love rust 😊😅
Hi to all at RE. Great Part1, looking forward to Part2. Got 2 questions for you !! 1. Carbon build-up on the R8's values, would fitting an oil catch can help reduce carbon build-up ? 2. Audi A8 6.0 w12. Starter motor replacement, have you done one. Is it an engine out job or can it be done by dropping part of the subframe to get access? Cheers
Purchased my Janspeed exhaust for my dolomite sprint in 1990 from Ripspeed in Edmonton. Janspeed was Jason Plato's uncles company. I also made & fitted Sextons signage in south croydon branch in 92. Proper car days.
I remember mum saying to me my brother...I no longer can collect your maxpower and fast car magazine....it looks like porn mag and the lady looks at me funny 👀🤣🤣🤣 Great channel, love the new car 💪👍
I remember looking at these when they were 3-4k. Unfortunately insurance was just to much and it wouldn't make a great Daily with 20mpg or less. After replacing Pump and fuel can i suggest putting some New Modern injectors, these will be dripping fuel in. Funnily enough just reminiscing over Max power magazines i found Yesterday. 650bhp Hamann Ferrari 1994, Remember thinking this was the Fastest car in the World. Now 1000bhp is small change😂😂😅
Love the videos, especially the technical stuff. Question: How much power can be gained from removing power steering and other auxiliary bits (alternator, AC compressor, etc.)? Would a dyno test of the GTI with and without the auxiliary belt be possible? The reason I ask is because Gordan Murray's T.50 has no assisted steering, so I'm keen to understand the benefits.
When this car was manufactured, there was no public internet to speak of. I didn’t have a network card on my home PC at the time. Intranet, sure. Internet I think I encountered it first at work in 1995. Phones texted. And made voice calls. Pretty much it. Better days for sure.
Have a r33 spec 2 with a rb 25. Keep it as stock as possible. Standard cas isn’t great for making power a lot of people put a stand-alone in it and move to a trigger system. and coil packs can be an issue. Have a few bits if your stuck hit me up have a carbon rear diffuser going for sale
You could not start it mate because you all (and Karl specifically) operate well on anything that has at least 8 cylinders or more :D Despite that Karl hates the V10 RS6s hahahahaha (obviously I am joking)
I remember the early editions of fast car They came out in 1987 That one is probably may or June Really wish I’d kept them for my teenage petrol head daughter to see when cars where more fun
Takes me back to my old one brilliant cars and reliable engines thing if I remember rightly that’s a spec 2 engine with the module on the spark plug cover if your going to make it manual tho replace the turbo as I didn’t an ended up pulling then exhaust side turbine out of the front end of my mates rx8 embedded in his bumper 🤣 auto turbo wasn’t used to 15psi an drifting 😂
Fast Car was 1987. Wow that was a long time ago. Around that time my like of fast Golfs would have started visiting my uncle who used to strip down and drag his mk 2 GTI at the GTI International show
Issue no.2? May 1987! ❤
Guys it was an amazing time capsule!! The owners collection is impressive!
9:21 - "Great Success" ... very nice. I like.
I love the “dry stored” part. 😂
Karl….comic delivery drier than a nuns chuff 🤣🤣🤣
All I ask is a full build , forged pistons n rods , 1000hp build plz guys
Same here mate 🤞🤞
1000hp thru the rear wheels eh? - that'll be a bit lairy then!😉
I've 686hp on rear wheel drive and it's interesting 🙃
got some great belly laughs out of that! Great to see a team enjoying cars so much! Thank you! Karl you are a minor legend!
Great video enjoyed that
Glad you enjoyed it
Could see it was a Spec 1 GTS-T from the thumb nail 🙈
At least you know the engine won't be over revved with the 4 speed slush box. I've had my manual R33 for 17 years 🥴
I'd watch a video just capturing Karl's reaction to things.
She’s like a brand new!
Any video with Karl in has to be a good video, ha ha ha 😂
He has a very appealing nature, not always possible to hear what he says unfortunately.
@STANLIZ4 I just like his dry quiet humour, he can say so much with just a look or a couple of words. The video was really good because I think the whole team bounced off each other but still stayed a team. I guess if u dnt like having the p@ss taken out of yourself then dnt work at REP, lol 😆

@@andybegbie8553 well said, maybe more involvement with other team members would be advantageous to the vids
HES THE MAN COOL CARL
Apparently a “weapon on tour”😂
Brilliant funny upload. Maybe something a little different to get into i.e. taking on "barn finds".
Absolutely mega, those old magazines brought back some memories. Great work gents, 😁👍🏾
I see a manual swap and stuttutu noises , definitely a slippery slope towards 5-600 horsepower. Best episode so far 👌
You could have done Karl’s Type R as a rebuild. Great video guys and keep up the good work. Will be great to see the progress on this one.
"Dry stored" 😂 love your sense of humour....
Love ur Rick and ur sence of humor killing me lol
Thanks!
Very enjoyable as always 👍
Nice ...The new 'Garage YOSHIDA '
quality the boyz 💯💪🏻
Absolutely brilliant, dry stored in a puddle ha ha, classic, fuel pump looks like it’s from Dave’s Jones locker, what could go wrong, superb teamwork, like a F1 crew, cheers guys & Kate 👍
Definitely needs a big turbo
Video should have been called "Five guys push an old Skyline out of a garage" 😂
You had me at 36D lady lumps 😎
We love Carl!!!
😳that has to be the Wetest indoor storage of a barn find on you tube !!!! 😂😂😂🤔

Everything you need you can get from Titan motorsport 👍
Great video as always. Brings back memories for me… we used a gts-t as a driver training car when I worked at Nissan technical centre.
Surely it's not gonna be a daily, go full 90's. Neons, super loud dump valve and exhaust. Nos? If so purge valve 👍
Ricky for reference the fuel pump relay should be hidden in the left hand kick panel in the car in the A pillar cavity cheers from down under
Awesome, can't wait to see more on this.
Glad to join you other few geeks
Stunning motor!

That’s a great team building exercise, looking forward to the build . Might be on the road 2026 😂😂😂

Loved this vid
Found the fuel pump off the Titanic, I see. (Honestly surprised that the injectors weren't seized up....)
Quality as always 😂😂
Thought I was watching Fast n Loud for a minute there 😂
May 1987 for the Fastcar mag. Torn between seeing the Skyline getting a full OEM refresh back to factory or full on RE power build.
Love the videos, especially the technical stuff.

1987 for Fast Car . The fun of Dave Walker
You could not start it mate because you all (and Karl specifically) operate well on anything that has at least 8 cylinders or more :D Despite that Karl hates the V10 RS6s hahahahaha (obviously I am joking)
