I hope this screening becomes an annual event. It was such a blast! (I'll have to repair my flamethrower and do some more work on the "Fire Hazard" F-150!) We're all so glad you could make it to the shoot. The StudeBreaker was the jewel of the Armada!
Thanks, I've got a lot more improvements to finish before the next meet-up. Your Flamethrower was epic and I may or may not have a box of parts labeled "flammenwerfer" on my shelf right now.
Check out Wasteland Week End , held in California City , California, they have both a you tube and FBook pages,,, for one week, live the Mad Max lifestyle. Great bunch of people,,,,, way better than cosplay,, nothing against coz players.
What a criminally underrated channel. I came for the DnD table, but stayed for this awesome rebuild(x2)!! I play DnD avidly and have just finished rebuilding my 92' Cheyenne just last month, so it was such a treat watching this Studebreaker all come together. Sorry to hear about that lifter problem, I had a very similar problem with my lifters once I finally put her together, but thankfully they weren't eaten by the cam and didn't cause any worrying damage to the block, and I just had to get some new ones. You're entirely too brave for my taste Boring and Honing it yourself, but its beautiful to see her running fine. You definitely deserve more viewers and subscribers for this wicked project. You should be proud! Best of luck in the future on anything else you do man! I'll be here waiting for it.
Cool build! You should check out Apocalypse East in northern Pennsylvania. It's a Mad Max themed fully immersive post-apocalyptic festival similar to, but much smaller than Wasteland Weekend.
My brother and I have had designs on it for years and years and have a half built competitor but other stuff just keeps getting in the way. Hopefully the events don't end before we get a chance to go!
@@MoreToolsThanSense you have a month to do it this year. Make the effort. It's a very fun trip. Not sure where you are for travel, but you have to be closer to Florida then I was. I did get the longest drive award in 15 and 17 from Wisconsin thought. I think I am also the only person that has taken their car that drove it to the tail of the dragon right after and had pics to prove it still with the stickers on it. Also got to get Al Unser JR to ride shotgun one year to be a driving couch for about 30 mintues.
This is that good s%!+. These folks who pay to have this done didnt earn the glory. This is truly shiny, and CHROME! P.S. Itll take more to bring this down than it an does an ATAT.
Landed here from the dnd table and as someone that's dreamed of building a custom wasteland vehicle, had to check this out. I just moved out east, with Pitt about an hour away. Would love to get involved with this kinda community/stuff, if you have some general direction/guidance?
Welcome! This was kind of a one off event, I think the location has changed hands. but follow some of those Cosplayers on insta, their handles are listed. Also I might be hitting up apoxalypse East ( Apoxeast.com ) in Montrose PA this year, but I'm not sure yet, dates aren't out yet.
@@MoreToolsThanSense will do, cheers! Montrose would be a pretty good haul for me but it's not out of the question. looks like there's plenty of events/opportunities to get it scheduled though!
Pretty cool build. sadly Wokelandweekend's been ruined by politics unfortunately. But thankfully there have been other Mad Max themes events that have been popping up now. Also that's not a pursuit vehicle, that's more of a Marauder type vehicle.
I guarantee there wasn't exactly a queue of deep-pocketed enthusiasts waiting to restore half of a 6 cylinder bullet nose into showroom quality. Between being a lawn ornament or a rat rod I think it's living out the far better option.
@@tubbs2132 suprisingly enough Studebaker has a pretty die hard following, not so much heee in the USA, but I've sold a few project cars to Austrailian collectors.

I like how the body comes off of the frame so effortlessly

Thanks man! I think the overlap between DnD players and engine builders is pretty small so welcome to this tiny slice of venndiagram!
@@MoreToolsThanSense Thanks for having me!
Awesome! Vehicle looks absolutely great and crazy!

great works!
It was great to see her in person!!
10 out of 10 love this video
Thanks!
Cool that this piped up in my feed for stuff to watch. I know that grassroots motorsports t shirt in a couple of spots.
I've put several of my builds up on the GRM message boards but not so much since I started shooting video, It's a great community!
@@seanbirger3036 I have not been on the boards in a while...sigh. ever do the challenge at all? 04, 15 and 17 myself.

So was it a bad cam? I was wondering if you had to replace it the first time through
The cam and lifters were Both brand new, i likely didn't break them in properly and they chewed themselves to death.
Can we see more nerdy stuff like maybe a regular looking table with a bunch of hidden compartments?
there is a wrestler called max the impaler and they are a wastelander themed wrestler, you need to do a photo shoot with the car and them
Love the work you guys do. New sub here!
Awesome! I had all the right goosebumps early into the end scene!! Great to see some fabrication too!
❤ from AU 🦘
Original movies had better cars, honestly better cosplay too..lmao 😅 damn good job on this beast tho, should add some spikes
Whats size is the motor
Cult of the V8 of course! But seriously it's a 318, you can see the build in the older videos.
Maybe you could help me with a gen 3 hemi swap in my 2001 dodge van

I know 50/51 were the best selling years for Studebaker, but making such a rare car into a freak is a shame.
