I got a bigger electronic drum set recently, but although it's bigger and an old flagship (td30) , its rack feels maddeningly restrictive as to where you can place things:
    1. the bigger ride cymbal actually feels a bit of curse cos fitting it without too much annoying tom overlap is a pain I didn't have with td12 .
    2. I tried to make the positioning of toms as close to the reality of an acoustic but you cannot slide the top 2 toms across- is a weird ball and socket thing coming out of rack.
I also tried to leave space for a double pedal between snare and hat, but it is leaving a gulf between the snare and hat. I'm not sure if this hat - ride distance is the primary cause of increased strain in my right shoulder or if it's just a non ideal ride position/height...
Do you think trying to put left double pedal to left of hi hat would help that by reducing the distance right hand has to travel? The rack is already so opened out and the hat is really crammed right next to the bar.
The kit also came with a second floor tom too but in reality I don't know how to move round to that in a pleasant feeling way...I can't put them all in completely straight line as immovable cymbal stand and tom fastenings get it the way. It's basically a table😅
