Well hello from Buenos Aires, Argentina! I watched your video about the '53 GMC, and then I saw in the recommended videos this one, which brought A LOT of memories about my time living in the U.S. in the early 90s! One of my uncles there gave a white 1986 Chevrolet S10 pick up to my Dad, so he could move around. As a Chevy fan I fell in love with that thing, even though it was an automatic. Anything about saving S10s I like, so, new subscriber here! I'm gonna watch Part 2 later, and I'm looking forward to more content about it! Cheers!

I just saved one of my sons 93 ranger in good shape. Rebuilt auto trans. He was going to give up bad tranny. Now a cool little run about truck. Yes I would save the s10. I love that stuff.
Absolutely save it I didn't mind I got one just like yours and 87 model man's got good frame good body these are tough trucks they're definitely worth fixing up
The guy that I fix it for told me he doesn't want it now so I mat end up with it. I took it for a drive when I first got it running has MAJOR death wobble at 45 mph. She is going to need a ton of work.
Yes indeed Save this truck. I had an 86 model, 5 speed , long box. Awesome truck. Like others, she not have let it go. went to college and things got tight.
Well it's still sitting up behind my shop, did get the 4x4 locked in. Going to weld some plates on the frame and send it back to the neighbor. He's beginning to think it's not a good fit for him so I may end up with it.
I bought an 83 that was in half way decent condition last summer from Farm Field in Alabama. It ran when I got it, but unfortunately a cracked piston rod cooked the block. Finding a 2.8 was problematic, so Im prepping it for LS swap. The motor mounts are my 1st hurdle aint much clearance to get them without dropping suspension. Anyone have any tips on S10 motor mounts 4WD?
@@flatbrokegarage I just got them off without dropping the springs. I cant believe it. A little a tenacity and a prybar! I still cant believe engineers and how they design things. Im going to weld the new ones on the rig

My buddy ended up with it and gave it a complete mechanical refresh and back on the road
Probably would make a good little farm Truck. Far as a classic rebuild. With the frame so bad. Just use it until it’s used up. Thank you for sharing!

They are for sure. My buddy bought it and the truck is in the process of restoration
I have the same truck but a 92 4x4 with the 4.3 still my daily driver get 20mpg with 30” tires and a 3” body lift- mine also had been sitting since 99

Man, that sucks. I'm sure there is someone producing those motor mounts. They use S10s frames for everything. Good luck! and thanks for watching

Should be saved that's a nice truck would be better with a v8 if u had one laying around
