What makes lars cooler now is when he enters his stances there are freaking lighting sparks leaving a trail behind him.
yeah he's never been cooler
His default outfit isn't great, his alt 3 is great though.
Exactly that and being able to chance his Noctis hair makes him finally decent to look at LOL

- b3,4 is more usefull as a long range whiff punisher, not really as a "Poke".
- 1,1,1 can be CH confirmed if you react to the opponent attacking before the jab hits (press 1,1 then if you saw the opponent attack before the jab hit, ad the 3rd hit.)
- f,b2,1 is a great whiff punisher, if you dash into it you can add good range. It also allows you to launch -14 which is rare to have.
- Silent Entry 4 is a safe homing powercrush. If they try to disrespect your stance you can use it.
- b1 is actually nerfed since in T7 in wallspalt on CH in T7. But b1+2 is now safe instead.

as a semi new player i have no idea what you are talking about but i agree
@@TheMCmace 1 = left punch 2 = right punch 3 = left kick 4 = right kick
b = back, f = forward, u = up, d = down, 1+2 = same time left and right punches
CH = counter hit (your opponent tried to hit you but you were faster so it became a counter hit)
whiff punish = throw ur attacks safely in order to let your opponent doing mistakes
Poke = free damage not easy to react, fast and safe, usually one hit or two

Fb 2,1 is confusing now. Why add the neutral star.
One thing I wanted to point out, when you do a string that is -5 or something like that and you go into Silent or Dynamic Entry you are in fact not safe, you cannot block in those two stances.
Only Limited Entry allows you to block while in stance

Thank you for the guide, I really struggle to understand Lars while I fught him and he is in my list of chars I want to learn so i'm starting now, and I really find it hard to be comfortable with all the moves and stances but I will learn it slowly 😁 I already made my "understanding the game well speedrun" with Victor 😅

Use to main Lars in Tekken 7 from 2019-the beginning of 2021. I am outta practice so I am re learning him and not letting my muscle memory get myself killed in battle against opponents who never stopped playing XD
I just started reallt taking Tekken seriously on T8 as a person who only played T5-T7 just for fun but I stg Lars is actually insane. Been playing and mains him for a while now and he is very much an aggressor and pressure fighter, he’s also very good at baiting as his silent entries are just fast asf
Lars, Jin Kazama and Yoshimitsu are my top 3
Althought started with 3, Lars was the man in ttt2. Im just glad that his df 1 is one of his best pokes for a long time
So i should just focus on being able to do these sets of inputs first without screwing up before moving on to more complicated stuff? Great video I'm now just really starting to delve into tekken I played Tekken 2 on playstation and a little of tekken 7 but l have some fighting game experience I'm not coming in completely fresh.
EDIT: What a great video haha i learned to do the low silent stance 1 where he hits the low and jumps thru them with heat and beat a bryan my first match thanks again!!
I'm actually surprised I don't see a lot of pro players picking up Lars. As a Lars main since Tekken 6, he feels like Tekken 6 Lars again in a lot of ways. Just crazy fun.

Is df2 into stance really good as a mid check? On block Lars is in stance and can't block.

just to correct , df2 into Se is not safe at all its launch punishble if your oppnent knows you going to Se by just doing like df2 regular launcher , so its actualy better to do the minus 11
What should I do for wall combo ender?
I miss some of his moves from Tekken 7 , now out, I used a lot.

I fought a spammy kicks Hoawarang yesterday and dont know how to Punish his Kick string because it seems very Plus on Block, what should i do with Lars against Spammers?
Powercrush (1+2) works great on them. Also, try low parrying once you see a common pattern in their strings.

Please do one for lee! Im a beginner and so many ppl say lee is a rlly hard character to play. It'd be great having a beginner guide for him with easier combos and gameplan.
You have to be really good at timing to get lee down
Back 1 got nerfed. Mostly bc of system mechanics imo. Still a great tool

Is Lars a good option for new players? Im Mortal Kombat player and changing to tekken now with Tekken 8
hes ok for new players, the only odd part of him to get used to is his stances but its not that complicated

Would you say lars is a good character for someone who just started playing?
Id say yes. The stances are not too complex and his movelist is fairly compact.
Only downside for beginners is that lars involves a bunch of directional inputs. Easy ones but it makes a difference using a 1,2 input or a F1,2 input. Also adding the forward input after certain hits to go into stance has to be in your mind. However thats also how far it goes. So its not that difficult to manage but a little different to the even easier characters that give you a bunch of good strings.
Also Lars greatly benefits from mapping 1+4, 1+2 and 3+4 to the bumpers since you get good moves with it but you also use them in combos thats why i bind those.
If you play on pad i recommend removing the rage art bind as its done by df1+2 which you can do like that.
@@Corey91666not trynna be rude but why are you specifically mapping 1+2 or 3+4 those buttons ate right next to each other and arent even hard to press. I understand 1+4 or 2+3 because those are diagonal.
@@Aye_itsju i personally think that if you need to use alot of those inputs in combos it adds needed consistency.
I dont map these for other characters but it also depends on your input system or how you play. I play on pad and if you dont want to map them you can increase consistency by playing claw which i dont.
Of course if you manage without that its ok but rage art nowadays is such an easy input that i feel mapping specifically that is almost a waste for your shoulders buttons.
I get where you are coming from though.

Once you kinda get a flow chart mindset he’s easier than some characters.
His flow is easy, but his game is kinda hard, you will have to mix up highs, lows, and mids but i say easy, not brain dead. Thats eddy

@@SimplyTrey oh ok. I'm a beginner too, I did play t6 and t5 on psp, and the others through emulations. T7 not so much, and I didn't really played the other tekken games professionally, I just button mashed. T8 is where I wanna play it properly.
