I could definitely see Chris teaching college level courses on destructive cults, and undue influence, as well as the many topics discussed on his channel. He would also have excellent guest speakers. This would greatly benefit the young, intelligent, impressionable people seeking their place in the world. Humanist.
Great job Chris! I’m so happy you are educating others in this destructive cult. Btw..... perhaps you joined the church of Scientology for some kind of purpose in life, but it looks to me like your best purpose yet is right here and right now by exposing all of this.
That LRH didn't take sexual advantage of his followers is actually quite interesting. The element of sexual exploitation is usually a unifying thread throughout all religions and sects. It seems, that he was a man who was solely preoccupied with his state of mind.
Of course he did not take advantage...! Your concern should not be him, but DM in general. LRH gave great stuff for the money people gave. Also, per his polices he did not want fancy buildings. His annual membership was affordable. He did not force high memberships and donations like DM. He created church and field auditors. DM only wants money and by terror and changed LRH policies and technical material... Your concern should be DM.
He did took children away from their parents and attempted to destroy their family relationships so they would rely only on him. It’s been an evil movement at the top from the start
@@bt7846 LRH genuinely thought he was doing good, and structured his Orgs as such. Great membership rates, no sexual abuse, less salesmanship. DM gets that it was all a scam and runs it as such.
So true, money is senior to case gain. If they really were gung-ho on helping people and if they really could do it consistently well, case gain would be senior to money.
If they ever wanted to really clear the planet they would offer the tech and teachings for free or on a sliding scale : Allowing the wealthier adherents to donate for the greater good in assisting the poorer in their communities. The hypocrisy in their approach right out of the gate clearly shows their deception. If they’d taken the “ altruistic approach”- making the able more able- regardless of their immediate ability to pay, think of how many people would have joined and be filling up the birthing at gold base. Seems like their inherent greed may have saved us all from a church of Scientology that actually does have millions of members !.
OMG my wife and I were in Arizona for the first time a couple of weeks ago (Memorial Day and that week). We almost crossed paths as we went from Phoenix to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. This is how I measure my brushes with celebrity. :-)
Yes, the so-called most enlightened Scientologists, the OT's, are not even able to demonstrate how enlightened they are. If one cannot demonstrate that he is enlightened, he is not enlightened, just as if one is not able to demonstrate he is a bean counter, he is not a bean counter. Definition, bean counter, accountant.
> If one cannot demonstrate that he is enlightened, he is not enlightened First there is no mountain, then there is a mountain, then there is no mountain.
I just watched again the movie "The Giver". This film compares somewhat with "the perfect world" of Scn and your role, Chris as "The Giver". Excellent Presentation you gave there! Just one advice. You may have noticed the audio has quite much reverb as it was recorded with a mike in the room. Always insist to have a podium mike or lavalier microphone, if not for the room acoustic - at least for the recording source! Keep on Chris - you rock!
Thank you! Yeah, I thought they were recording the audio straight from my mic and not from the room. My bad on that. Did my best to fix it in post but yeah, I'll definitely be seeing to that in the future.
❓🤷🏼♂️ I’ve always wondered what Scientology would tell me if I walked in. Aside from selling me a book I’d think they’d turn me away basically. I’m 31 & aside from being a gay, married man (13 years so it isn’t a phase! 😉), I see a therapist regularly for talk therapy (he’s really more like a mentor) & a psychiatrist because I take medicine for my mood etc. I mean, gay, in therapy, and on meds? I’d be their worst nightmare right!? ⁉️ Lol Not that it would be a problem. I live in the 2nd most populated state (TX) & the 4th most populated city nationwide (Houston) has the closest “Dianetics Center” that’s open like 4 hours a week on weekends & in kind of a run down area. But Scientology is doing better than ever! ... Right 😅
Mr. Scott, do you believe that homosexuals are born that way? I do. Hugh Hefner said in an interview, no doubt, the homosexual is the most persecuted individual in society. I was stationed at Fort Bliss with the US Army. Texas seems very conservative. Does this make it difficult for you to live there? Do you agree or digress from my statements, Mr. Scott?
I have not seen this video yet too, but I am very (glad) curious what they're going to say about this topic! I found my answer 3 weeks ago to the question: how is it possible that my ex-husband and son with a very high IQ are so blind to the SC bullshit...?! Answer: LRH had a pathological narcississtic personality disorder (read: A new flant on life) so has the church system. My ex and eldest son (in some degree) too: NPD. NPD is about splitting, false-ego, no true (self) identity. They need an identity. The disorder makes them blind litterally. (Not all church members, some are co-dependent!) Miscavage is a dangerous sociopath!
Hey Chris great talk, do you think Marty rathbun is back in Scientology? Or being paid by Scientology? I say this because of his recent uploads seeming as though it was director by COB himself Thanks for the vids
Your statement that Scientology claims to provide personal verification of its tenets [c. 11:20] reminded me of the following quote: "Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things,...ye shall receive these things and ponder it in your hearts;| and when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God...if these things are not true, and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost;| and by the power of the Holy Ghost, ye may know the truth of all things." cf LDS (Book of Mormon): Moroni 10.3-5. Coincidence? Maybe, but I doubt it.

This was an excellent presentation from Chris. I never tire of listening to him. He's a great speaker and teacher. I'll be sharing this video.
Good stuff as always Chris.
You put good words on what is difficult for some to explain.
Thank you for doing what you do.
It's the money in your wallet's bridge to total freedom.. They are helping to free the money from your wallet..

Love your ideas man! I haven`t seen many critical thinkers go in depth like this on youtube. Especially on cults.

I would love to see you and Jordan Peterson have a discussion about how the mind is susceptible to manipulation ..
Me too. I would very much like to discuss that topic with him.

Great presentation Chris
Great talk Chris x

And I see you used subconscious in the right way .. Good job!

McMuggles: I think you meant 'Muggletonians'.
Yes! My bad. That's what I get for ad-libbing without verifying it first. I mis-remembered that term from my podcast with John P Capitalist.
Glad to be early ^-^
