I remember living in Jamaica and every year around this time, we were always preparing for a hurricane to hit sometimes we would get lucky but not this year. I hope it doesn’t damage my little Island too much.

I remember being there during Gilbert. My grandmother would not let us even peak outside. Some parts of Jamaica have hills. The flood will subside quickly.

Stuff gets replaced, buildings, roads, infrastructure can be rebuilt. Of course we’re always grateful for the international support! 🙏🏾👍🏾🤗☀️🏝️

Unfortunately i feel it will turn towards Louisiana like Irma which followed the same path. It always turns north once in the gulf. i suffered a lot of damage in Louisiana from Irma. i am so tired of these hurricanes. i wish i could leave but i can't!

As a kid, we moved on to a island .cause my dad built foutain power boats back in 1980s till 2000. Every storm me and my btothers fished out bedroom windows. One year boats going down the road. Getting people out. We lost everything. So i feel for you all. Wish you all the best and pray that luck is on your side. Cause storms have no grace or remorse.
Hurricane Beryl hit us hard in St Andrew but hit St Thomas more bc the roads were damaged, multiple trees fell down in our community, in Norbrook but the wind was strong and there was a lot of rain no electricity for 2 days straight

I'm nervous 😢
Few days ago I dreamed of fire then the prettiest waves on the beach. I knew they weren’t normal ways because the way they were coming inland. On that beach was thousands of people and vehicles and the people were black people. I was like why are all these people out here. When I looked again majority of the people was gone and the waves were getting bigger and crashing into stuff. We started running to get to safety and I could not figure out that dream. Was still thinking about it yesterday.
Your dream could probably mean something prophetic. Pray to God for understanding. Your dream sounds like a great awakening is probably on the verge of taken place. Fire usually symbolizes purification but at the same time destruction.
The most beautiful elements in the world like gold and diamonds are purified from fire. The pressures created from fire produces beautiful diamonds. So ironically before purification and beauty comes destruction.
There has been a lot of religious ties with black people and watching for such signs associated to what is known as the return of Christ. Perhaps these are the birth pains we've been hearing about that has been predicted for well over a millenium? It could also signify paying attention and being prepared. Just food for thought. So the only areas of Jamaica that seem to have been hit harder are the southern parishes. St Elizabeth, parts of Manchester and clarendon. Other than that, the country is intact except for fallen trees here and there. It's nothing compared to what happened in the other islands. Jamaica really was spared from what could have been a real disaster.
