Do we really need someone standing in a hurricane to tell us that it's bad??? Everytime I see reporters or weather people doing this I cringe,because it's stupid. Praying for the Jamaican people and hope there isn't too much damage

town and not even a tree fell. There is hardly any zinc top roof here 98% slab. No house get damaged. Rain is on and off no wind. There's is also electricity, we never went out of light.

Meanwhile the cameraman is shooting from a couple of miles away in a 5 floor building from inside the window. Smart man.
His point about the sound inside structures is spot-on. I spent a night in a CAT 3 and the sound was like a living thing screaming at us.
I was born during hurricane Dora in 1964. For my 40th season we had Charley, Francis, Ivan and Jeanne. My 60th will the peak of hurricane season this year. Look out!
1980 in Galveston Texas.... hurricane was offshore and the Houston News Station sent Sher Min Chau down to stand on the jetty by the surf for a report. She was about 95lbs and rocking with her little legs like a baby deer. All about the shots and drama until somebody gets killed. Note: She was less of a drama queen than this guy.

Most roofings are slab so they are not damaged, only thing may be expected is flooding and landslide
