Thank you. Nothing is more important as a journalist than to show the reality and the truth. It’s why we risk our lives because we knew no one else would be there to do it.
Please visit Union Island as well. Its a small island close to Carriacou that belongs to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It has also been devastated by hurricane Beryl and about 90% of the infrastructure has been destroyed. The residents are currently still without electricity, data and cell signal. Most people haven't been able to get in direct contact with their family members on the island since the hurricane... myself included, I'm still trying to get in contact with my mom.

Thank you for highlighting and shedding light on this. Mainstream media tends to ignore these small islands and these people are suffering ; but they have a resilient spirit. However, they need help .
They need to be moved off the island for good, if they are in poverty and in a constant danger but cannot afford to fortify their buildings they need to be put somewhere that their quality and capability of life can afford. No matter how you look at it, they cannot afford to live here.

I have never seen individuals as caring and compassionate as these. I appreciate Jonathan recording this.
Hats off to you Mr Petramala. I've been following your work since the day you landed in Carriacou and I've done an amazing job of informing Grenadians and the world about the situation there.
Thank You. For being there and for caring. I've shared this with the media page of my home city in Yorkshire, uk. I've shared it on my media pages and with my friends. This is utterly devastating and the world should know. If there's still a genuine body of peers left in this messed up world, I hope they give you a well earned award for Journalist of the People. I'm aghast that you were the only two bothered to care and so proud of you both for caring.
I am thanking you as a wonderful journalist For helping our people To find their family members We are grateful and thankful For your help You are a wonderful and loving journalist thank you from our bottom of our heart🇬🇩🇬🇩🇬🇩🙏🙏🙏

Can't believe this is my hometown. Unimaginable images. We shall rise again. Stay strong my people. Thanks for sharing Jonathan.
Thank you for everything you are doing and have done. I grew up on an island 13 Sq miles, so to see your entire island destroyed is devastating. Many blessings to all
Wow. So glad you are there as a journalist! Great job. Tell the true story. Thank you.
Thank you so much for caring for our people showing love and support, and as we make ready to help.
Thank a lot for sharing everything Jonathan, hopefully the international community starts mobilizing soon
They should already have mobilized.
Great job, gentlemen. You have made a difference showing in real time the struggle and at the same time resilience of children.
This thing is heading my way unfortunately. Prayers go out to those who are suffering after dealing with this nasty storm.
🙏 Prayers for you too! A Cat 5 is an experience you won’t forget. Pray. I prayed 13 hr straight through Ivan. And also prayed Psalm 91 through the day. It helped calm me. Look it up. Pray it. Believe it. All the huge trees that snapped around my home fell in the opposite direction. 145-150 winds. When I came out the next day. My house was barely touched. I went to the end of my drive, and yelled…Thank you Jesus. God be with you through this time. 🙏 I’ll say a prayer for you too
Wow . Oh my God . 🇯🇲🇯🇲 sending you guys love . Praying for speedy recovery.

Bro you did a great job of covering this disaster, right now u are my one source of information, keep us updated, there’s families here in Grenada who haven’t heard from their loved ones, thanks again bro🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🇬🇩
God bless and love these wonderfull people!!!🙏❤️
You are doing important and critical work. Thank you. Carrying all these folks in my heart as they heal and rebuild their lives
Thank you so much for sharing all of this, my family is currently there. Doing what we can from England 💙💙
