Love watching this. I am a 72 year old lady from the US who loves British history. I enjoy all your visits to these historic homes and castles. Julie you have a lovely rapport with all the owners and ask all the right questions. Thank you so much ❤

I had the pleasure of visiting Scotland and Blair Castle. It was incredible. A lot of the stuff you’re showing on the show today I saw there and there’s just not words for it.

This tour was fabulous for so many reasons. The one fundamental aspect that I love the most is the respect of history through preservation.

I also really enjoy the music selections. They remind me of happy sitcoms from the 70s and 80s before everyone on tv screamed at each other all the time.

I love seeing a new episode pop up on my feed. As an American it is hard to comprehend walking around in working buildings going back to the 16th century and earlier. I love all the tales that your interviewees tell about the history. It so brings history to life and ties it to the present day.

Sadly, this is a compilation of three fairly old episodes. Still, nice to have on in the background to refresh my knowledge of some bits of history.

I live in Victoria, British Columbia and we have large areas of Douglas Fir that are a protected species of trees. I never knew the history of the name until now.

I so do admire your work and dedication. My past life I had to have lived in such a Home. I’m so drawn to the History of all your videos. Thank you. I’m typing this right when the peacock was singing and it woke the cat 😂 who is now looking for it. Here in Salt Lake City Utah we have wild peacocks and turkeys. 😂. Keep up the great work ❤

and subjects to your channel. It is throughly enjoying and most refreshing to be able to join you on these historical journeys that have opened our eyes. Tell me your are currently a Viscountess, when the Viscount through his peerage becomes the next Earl of Sandwich do you both maintain the Viscount and Earl peerage? Thank you for another wonderful episode, take care and God Bless 🙏😇🏰🇬🇬

This meant to be only a kindly well-meaning reminder, that a crest is only the symbol above the shield. It is often in windows and furniture left out. So in those cases, there is no crest. Better is “ coat of arms” or even shortened to “arms” as in “ the Jones’ arms.

Amazing that the Lord Chief Justice that they referenced only had an elementary school education, and yet greatly influenced commercial law in the British and U.S. governments. He must have been a brilliant person.

Wait is this reruns? I’m so confused it gets all mixed up and feels over saturated. Could we have an original aired date in the description? I think maybe if Julie wore a signature outfit on each visit it would be easier to differentiate. Julie is usually in jumpers or shades of white which all looks similar 😅❤🤷🏻‍♀️
