I highly encourage you to do more of these wonderful videos, please. I love the fact you are so open to "feeling" the energy in these historic places. That is a unique gift and such an added gift to this video. You share your stories in such a cozy, significant and fascinating way, I certainly hope there are more to come. Wonderful and thank you!😊💜
I admire your openness as well, but Athelhampton exploits ghosts to fund itself, and the Viscountess is acutely aware of the commercialization required for the funding of these stately homes. She is playing her part here, as much as when, in a crammed library, she just so happens to spy "out of the corner of her eye" that the proprietor has written a book. Even if the Viscountess happens to be open-minded in this regard, she has a job to do and this is all scripted. I like her well enough, but do we need to be the mugs they think we are?
My mum and aunt were nurses and had many many stories. My mum a very practical, no nonsense type of person heard lots of stories from patients and nurses, but never saw anything herself - until near the end of her 30+ years doing night shifts in a hospital. She was very matter of fact relating the details too! I have no doubt that ghost exists, never seen anything myself though. This was a very interesting video, thank you.
I live in Oklahoma and Love your shows! I have a friend who is here in Oklahoma and she is from southern UK and her mother still lives in Uk. My linage is from UK,Ireland,Scotland, and Sardinia. You and your husband talk about so much from a linage of UK and Italy. Thank you!
Thank you for the episode! I love a good haunting or ghost story, ( as much as they might scare me) they go part and parcel with old homes, manors, castles. I've got a few in my place, so I can relate.
Thanks for these videos! So glad I found your site. I love seeing these beautiful historic homes and of course the rich history that goes with them! Please do some more visits to places with supernatural experiences!
I love a good ghost story, and I think all the mansions are beautiful, but I don't think anyone could pay me to stay overnight in a haunted mansion! I love the unflappable, lighthearted manner in which each person you interviewed talked about his or her house ghosts.
Thank you Julie, so enjoyable. Guess it’s normal to think that people would stay around where they’d lived . The Margaret of Anjou story got to me the most. Just to think of what she went through after that. Probably was the last night she was happy. Mind you, she was at war and her son was going into battle soon. Happy may not be the right word for it. 🙏🙏🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
Oh, I love this and it is so kind that it is possible to get a a signed copy of the book about Athelhampton. I hope it can be shipped abroad asI live in the Netherlands, but I really would love to purchase it. Thanks so much for the info ♥️📚
Julie: fascinating video, thanks 🌼 I really love Europe and I am really fond of England for strong reasons. I want to share that in timestamp 29:00, looking to the stairs side on the left a shadow moved clearly kind of going upstairs. I am a psychic clairvoyant and medium. That is one thing. But, this evidence I am talking about is clear to any eyes. No need to translate for spirit, for now and hope not during this video 😂 Another thing I do want to share, I started eating my ice-cream from which I got it from Cold Stone. I asked for the largest size and kept in that disposable bowl. I placed the bowl in a white Italian ceramic dish just in case some drops got out of the bowl. The ice-cream I bought was a mix of one scoop of cake batter, one scoop of chocolate truffle and one scoop of strawberry. I ended the ice-cream, put on hold your video and went to clean the dish and dispose of the bowl. I was about to clean the ice-cream that fell from the bowl into the dich and right in the center two images were created with the whole mix but predominantly with the chocolate truffle one. Two creatures with wings, looking each other to their eyes. I took photos so if your are interested in seeing them I can email them to you and your crew. The person in the left looks like an old Elizabeth I. The creature on the right was taller but I cannot identify what was that. Both had wings. For the female person, the wing was more angel like. But, for the creature on the right the wing was more like gargoyle style. I was in shock and went to the bathroom to watch better with a white light and there I saw clearly and took photos. I asked my guides what was that and they told me 'love spell'. Afterwards, they gave the the word 'unforgiven' and showed me a man behind bars in desperation looking like the man in the Metallica's video UNFORGIVEN. I ate all of the ice-cream watching your video so my ice-cream absorbed something from your video. I went back to bed to keep on watching the rest and there I spotted what I wrote you at first. I don't know if that art using the ice-cream does mean something to these English people and their history.
Thanks for such a fascinating video. The houses were stunning. I lived in a very haunted house for a while. It was the mid 70s and the house was a 60s house so we didn't expect it. Think it must have been connected to the land but it was quite traumatic as I was only 15 and I seemed to attract whatever was there. I just sensed pure evil and knew that it could not enter certain parts of the house. I ended up sleeping in the dining room which was off the lounge and separated by sliding doors. I could feel the spirit in the hall behind the wall but knew it couldn't enter the area I was in. We moved quite quickly to a house nearby and the family who rented the house after us came to see us as they were experiencing things as well. Something I will never forget. Lived in some very old houses since but nothing compares to what was essentially a new build then. Wendy
Lady Cara Willoughby, getting the ghost busters in, really saddened me. Heartbreaking. ( I hope it didnt work lol.) Bum prints on the bed is a good sign 👌 😌)
I would be so scared just arriving. Do those old castles have electricity in them, or do they still need to use candles? Oh I see electricity. I know I would see a lot of things in those castles.
People who have had experiences with entities from the spirit world are often disbelieved by those who have yet to have one. Then, if or when the disbelievers have their own experience they might start believing or might deny it. If you live in the Colorado Springs, CO area there are multiple sites said to have many spirit encounters.
As beautiful as these old country homes are, they do have a creepy vibe. Dark panels/paint don't help. Even somes homes here in the US, feel creepy because of their age and not being updated in look😕
Science tells us that energy can neither be created or destroyed, so indeed, the energy of the people who lived and died in these places may very well remain. By the way, you look wonderful in that lipstick.
True. They love tricking people. They will pretend to be a little girl/boy or someone that they know you would open up to. I used to believe in ghosts but now i know they are demons. @sharynmorgan944

This is awesome, Please do more of these!
You are absolutely precious! I don't know how this video found me, but I am so glad it did!
✨ PLEASE do another one of these scary visit shows! ✨
This is really good. I love listening to the historic home owners tell their personal ghost stories. Every story was so interesting.
You are such a lovely story teller.
So happy I found your channel
Please can you do more of these ghost stories, Julie? Love the energy you have into bringing these stories back to life ! Thank you 😊

She became a countess?? 😮 Wow ❤ good for HER!
I love a good ghost story, and I think all the mansions are beautiful, but I don't think anyone could pay me to stay overnight in a haunted mansion! I love the unflappable, lighthearted manner in which each person you interviewed talked about his or her house ghosts.
Oh, that was fun, let's do it again, sometime soon!! ❤❤

You should look up Stella Upton in the UK. She is amazing and is familiar with a lot of historic homes with spirits. xo
Does she have a YT channel?
Wonderful!!
I love thisssss!!!
Goosebumps

❤❤ Fantasy meets History meets Reality❤❤🎉🎉
These places were amazing, both the architecture and the history. You have a new subscriber.
29:00 there was an interesting light moving about on the stairs!
This was such a fun video with such great historical stories! Brilant😊
This is brilliant!
Love the information you share ❤
Thank you. Very interesting. Please keep making videos like this. I thought it was captivating. Doesn’t it scare the current owners?
I'd love to see more of these. I have many stories of spirits since I was 3.
I love this lady ever since watching her on that reality show. Americans who marry into royalty are always cool.
Thanks, Julie! Loved the video. Different than most of your videos and I was captured right from the start. 😊
I love these old UK shows!
Enjoyed this
Oh, please do more of those spooky tours!! They're wonderfully entertaining!
Julie, you are so lovely!
Great video Julie. 😀
This was fun!
Brilliant, can’t wait till she does some more 👍👍👍

First video!! This was really interesting. Isn't your steering wheel on the wrong side for the UK??
I love me a good historical ghost stories.
This should be a Hallows Eve special 🎃
They need to advertise early enough to give people time to make plans and book their on site Ghost Tours.
She did another one for Halloween 🎃👻🍁
I just found your UA-cam channel. Did you have a series on the Smithsonian channel too? I'm glad I found you and I subscribed!
That show was Million Dollar American Princesses hosted by Elizabeth McGovern aka Lady Cora on Downton Abbey
❤really good!
😂❤❤Very nice tell me when I have to move it's a nice manzion to also make a nice farmhouse for children and an elderly person to relax 👌💃
Lady Cara Willoughby, getting the ghost busters in, really saddened me. Heartbreaking. ( I hope it didnt work lol.) Bum prints on the bed is a good sign 👌 😌)
Why would you want spirits to remain stuck? Maybe they needed acknowledgment and "permission" to move on. What could they achieve by remaining here?
Julie nice video and the history of the Castle.
Great video
Only a Viscountess? That’s like living in the outhouse!
I am sure that her status is somewhat higher than yours.
My hairs standing on my neck just from the first story!
creepie, I feel it.
I can't finish watching
I know what you mean….
They were people once
Seriously? Good grief
Thanks
I would be so scared just arriving. Do those old castles have electricity in them, or do they still need to use candles? Oh I see electricity. I know I would see a lot of things in those castles.
❤William the Teller lived here in (1087) tra l' guerra di normdia rimane un Londra fino là conchista di inglaterra dopo parte a Gerusalemme 😅

Wonder if it’s the Springs that attract them? 👻
That's Soooo sad:(😭😭
I thought the ape was going to burst out of the little room and chase you guys around!
Very interesting and, yes,a bit 9n the spooky side.
Thank you for sharing.would it be possible to do m9re on this subject?
There is a good show hosted by Robert Hardy on YT. Castles Ghosts of England. Also does Ireland & Scotland 👻
As beautiful as these old country homes are, they do have a creepy vibe. Dark panels/paint don't help.
Even somes homes here in the US, feel creepy because of their age and not being updated in look😕
A shame Athelhampton doesn't ship to Canada, I will have to see about a trip across the pond if I ever want a signed copy I suppose
❤love the stories please lose music it distracts
First espiode so far.
My flat is haunted. Not quite so picturesque though.
Science tells us that energy can neither be created or destroyed, so indeed, the energy of the people who lived and died in these places may very well remain. By the way, you look wonderful in that lipstick.
❤❤❤
Sorry please explain how you become a Vicountess when your are married to an heir of an Earl?
Courtesy title given to the Earl’s oldest & wife.
You'll have to check mapperton for witch marks. 😂
To be posh I don’t think it meant to wear the 1960’s wide leg, short pant. Or “shants “. No love.
Her style sense is firmly stuck in the early 80’s
Why couldn't the girl and the Ape get out?
Time in at 834 king James of Scott's painting in the room u in hiii
This would be so much better without the misogynistic ads for purile video games.
🇬🇧👑️❤🤗🤗🇪🇦👑️❤🇬🇧👑️❤
Do you actually believe in ghosts ?
No, it's something other than that, you shouldn't mess with.
True. They love tricking people. They will pretend to be a little girl/boy or someone that they know you would open up to. I used to believe in ghosts but now i know they are demons. @sharynmorgan944
She is annoying...
😂❤😊
Man she really likes to gasp dramatically. Love her videos but the gasps were a bit annoying.
(Gasp) Nooooo! No way!
Lol I noticed she gasps a lot but everyone does something that annoys others so I don't hold it against her.
I love the scenes of the homes & tours of Mapperton & Italy but she leaves a lot to be desired.
Who made her inseem so high. Its gross and very uncouth
Sorry as an American I’m out.
While I enjoy watching this and the history. Her animated enthusiasm is a little distracting.
Americans are just like that sometimes.
She is so annoying
