I am a black mama, don’t come downstairs and not speak. I am a black mama, iron your clothes the night before not the day of I am a black mama, and I love being a black mama #motherof5
the first time my grandma said that to me she got even madder because i didn't know what she was talking about....it wasn't even for me.... after my confusion i never forgot what a switch was
@caliginousmoira8565 The first time my mom said, "Bring me a switch," was the last time I brought her the smallest, weakest switch I could find. Lesson: dont ever bring a switch that ain't switching... it only makes makes matters worse.
🤭I HAVE a Black Mama💜 and now I AM a Black Mama😂💯!!! No lies were told here!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm sending this to my well-adjusted and responsible adult children!!!🤣🤣😂
My white mama just never let us leave the house without permission/being with her or my dad. Especially her daughters, this was the 60s-70s but we were basically confined to the house. "Go out to play? You got time to play you got plenty of time to (list of chores)."
If my momma saw us passing through the house to do anything, she would make us do a chore of some kind. "Hey come hang up these curtains! Change the channel on the tv! Sometimes I think she would just make stuff up because she saw us indoors!
I have a Black mother 👩🏾 too but thankfully she did not deny me things and if she did it was with kindness and respect... 😂But I occasionally had to go get my own switch because I didn't do anything she said 😂😂😂
The world needs more momma’s like this! My Mother was identical in bringing up 5 kids! I remember being at Robert Halls, for school clothes and running up and down between the clothes and with ONE whisk of the hand, grabbed my shirt collar and pulled me out. lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣 that was my childhood. R&B Saturday morning but my mother didn't make me clean up on Saturday this was her time alone. Now another day music ain't playing I had to clean
I'm a Southern Mama. So many same same. My boy still remembers me "making a corner" in the middle of a grocery aisle 😂 don't start actin a fool in the middle of a Winco. I'll make a corner and stand there reading a book until you're ready to act right.
I love the moms & sons hair - and their speaking voices lol they mom seems like most black mothers who play NO games! OK KKKKK lol - the son had cute biceps LOL ahaha
Now Im questioning my blackness because my mom would ask me if I wanted stuff in the store and I would say no. Also, she wouldnt even let me go outside to play because she thought I would get kidnapped by a child abuser. And I would volunteer to sweep and vacuum.
Times changed. I was THAT black mama, but I bet my children would not be outside alone in today’s world! AMy kids grew up in the nineties and when they were really small I would watch them play in the yard from the kitchen window
My mom was black and when we went to the store she’d say when you get in here don’t ask for nothing don’t touch nothing and if we ask anything she’d say as long as you stay black and your azz hole turn down to the ground don’t play with me understand
I had a black mama and heard most of these things. 😊 I was never a black mama but have said some of these very things (absent all profanity) to children then with me. 😄
Heard same from grandma, same from momma. Said the same to my children and grandchildren. My kid's said same to their kids. Grandkids say same to their children. Generational cycle that will NEVER end. ❤😂😂
I like how your little sister just grabbed the shopping cart when she heard your Mum giving you the instructions! My girl did not have to hear it twice!❤
That’s it, except we got woken up, not waiting until we’re up & mine was Pine-Sol & Bleach & directions weren’t given to clean, u already knew what to clean.
But why do literally all say the same exact things 😂😂😂😂😂 that Saturday morning music blasting pin sol is literally me I love the Saturday clean up and then Sunday dinner ?? Baybeeee life been having me off balance lately but I’m ready to get back to the program
I had blend of jamaican and american music playing for weekend cleaning. But even on the weekday, don't ask to go outside to play if your daily chores aren't done.
I had a white mama. The only difference was, on Saturday morning, that cleaning supply smell was me. My mom worked in a “hot factory 7 days a week. She stood on her feet 8 hours a day, only to come home to cook.” 😂😂 so yes. We had to get our butts outta bed and do the chores.
It was sometimes rough when you have the whole Network (Grandma, Mama, Aunts & Neighborhood) working together. You couldn't do nothing, because if you did you better already have your weapon of choice before coming in the house and don't try to pickup the weakest weapon. It was like Mortal Kombat in my house. I was a good girl and only got a few whoopings, but the line "It's going to hurt me more than it hurts you" always rubbed me the wrong way. Anyone ever have a nosey neighbor or friend of the family who always think they right? One day my Grandma's friend stopped me and was like "Gurl, what you doing down here on the corner, you better get home before I call you Grandma? I know d*mn well you didn't just roll your eyes at me?" And even if I didn't roll them that time, I learned how to pick my battles, because no answer was ever really the right answer. I told her "Maam can I please go into the corner store across the street and get my grandma what she sent me for? I will tell her you said hello". 🙄🤨
I'm 38 and don't even live with my black momma no more…now she comes to my house, eats and then tells me to wash the dishes. And of course to her, I'm not cleaning them right 🙄🤦🏾♂️😂
He’s 100% on point
When we get in here you better not embarrass me in front of them white folks!
OMG..I've said the same thing to my kids when they were young.😅
Baby girl came running with that switch, she wanted to see u get tore up😂😂😂
Bruh was that a fly swatter? 😂😂😂
Just like my sister😮

Come downstairs without talking..."Did you sleep here last night? You betta speak to people!"😂
@@lkeke35 listen! Don’t play with me, I didn’t sleep in the bed with you 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
Lol
I dont see how immediately giving the child militant instructions as soon as they see you is any better.
You got McDonald money?! So universal in the black household, lol. I said that before she could ask him 🤣🤣
As a black momma, I really feel like kids need this 😂 I just don't cuss but same energy! lol
I had a Black Mama and I am a Black Mama who heard and said the same thing. 😁🤣

@caliginousmoira8565 The first time my mom said, "Bring me a switch," was the last time I brought her the smallest, weakest switch I could find.

Right!! What happens in the house, stays in the house😂

Yep all of that and since I grew up to become a productive citizen I did the same with my daughter 😂😂😂
His Black Mama is a beautiful, wise woman
Give her respect, protection and love as she has given you ‼️
My White Mama used to have me hold on to the art and yelled about all the “in and out” action too. 😆
Thanks for making me smile remembering that. 🙂
My white mama just never let us leave the house without permission/being with her or my dad. Especially her daughters, this was the 60s-70s but we were basically confined to the house. "Go out to play? You got time to play you got plenty of time to (list of chores)."
Chills. Still hate a weekend morning in my bones and I’m grown. 😂
If my momma saw us passing through the house to do anything, she would make us do a chore of some kind. "Hey come hang up these curtains! Change the channel on the tv!

It is very interesting how so many of us have this “black mama” in common, even from back in the day. I am much older and yet, I can relate. 😂
Did we all have to hold on to the grocery basket too?! 😂😂😂 How do we all have similar experiences?! This was way too funny!! 😊
That’s us! No lies detected.
❤ and she don’t be playing😂
Baby you ain't never lied. That's the way my mother told me and that's the way I told my children. 😊😊
The world needs more momma’s like this! My Mother was identical in bringing up 5 kids! I remember being at Robert Halls, for school clothes and running up and down between the clothes and with ONE whisk of the hand, grabbed my shirt collar and pulled me out. lol

This skit has given me PTSD from thinking about my childhood. 😱🤣
0:30 first of all, shoes on the carpet is a no-no

Standing in the corner in the middle of a grocery isle is diabolical 😂😂😂😂😂
