I just had this procedure done about 2 hours ago. I had 2 bottom molars on both sides extracted and grafting done. Have to wait 4 months to heal before going back to get screws put into the new bone material. Once that heals, crowns will be put on. Possibly. I had a surgeon say that for my wisdom teeth. I went to my mom's surgeon and he said I did not need it. Years down the road I have one where I had an extraction to get an implant placed. But that's only to make sure the implant has a really strong foundation for long term, it's more forward thinking.
My dentist told me that sometimes they will do that if the area that needs to be grafted is small. The drawback is it has a less likely chance of success, but probably nothing to worry about.

Right! Cadaver bones from desperately poor countries like India? Where disease is rampant??
No, the bone goes through a rigorous process of sterilization and being processed to make sure the donor had no Infectious diseases. The prepared bone also gets tested, as well to ensure the donor did not have HIV, HBV, HCV etc. Then, it goes through a rigorous cleaning process before being packaged and shipped to your doctor. It's also FDA-regulated.

What do you do if you have a dental implant already and need a bone graft? Do you just have a teeth missing for several months

Yes but it heals quickly.

How many dental implants you got?
My dentist were trying to do this to me in my very back left bottom tooth, literally with no anesthesia. Just that numbing stuff. All because they wanted to go home and sedating me would've taken more time. Can you imagine this procedure being done to you while you're fully conscious??

I did a bone graft just few days back. Its not easy one. I had bone taken from behind and placed where it was missing. Also some scraping to fill the area. Not very easy to get through. Where exactly does the Cadaver Bone come from? Desperately poor countries like India where disease is rampant? I’ve read about people being infected with diseases that they dead person had who ‘donated’ their cadaver bones. They weren’t sterilized properly. How can you completely sterilize the tiny tubules throughout the cadaver bone??
I wonder about that too. Do they scrap bone off of dead people in the morgue before they're buried? Does there have to be a blood type match or it doesn't matter with bone? I had an extraction and implant years ago. I'm unsure what material was used to help the bone heal, but it worked.
@ Some people in America have been infected with TB, Tuberculosis, which is an extremely dangerous disease and still a big problem in some poor countries.

My dentist that one of my mom friends recommended removed my both upper right and lower wisdom teeth and he recommended bone graft and I said y he said like that the site heals fast and you don’t get a infection and he told me that he charges 375 pre hole rn I’m 750 in the whole and maybe after Christmas or entering the new year I’m gonna get my left side of wisdom teeth extracted and that will be a another 750
I was told I needed this for my wisdom teeth and think they are just saying it to charge me more
Possibly. I had a surgeon say that for my wisdom teeth. I went to my mom's surgeon and he said I did not need it. Years down the road I have one where I had an extraction to get an implant placed. But that's only to make sure the implant has a really strong foundation for long term, it's more forward thinking.
Hmm, my graft was done at same time of implant.
My dentist told me that sometimes they will do that if the area that needs to be grafted is small. The drawback is it has a less likely chance of success, but probably nothing to worry about.
love you Gujjar Badshah love you 😂😂😂
Surely steroid and growth serums have gotten better lol
Growth factors and stem cells from the person getting the graft help to heal the area but must be used with a bone graft. They cannot grow bone alone.
