I’ve only been learning drums a few months but this is one of my dream songs to play so I’m learning it bit by bit and starting slow of course. From practicing a section over and over and over and over and over again, I’ve realised that even at this slow pace, the grooves in this song are still fire 😎 🔥 🥁

It's actually not too bad. Write each bit out in order, then learn one bar at a time, at a slow enough pace that you're able to count 1,2,3,4,5,6 out loud while playing. Say each number aloud! I sometimes stop around 4 or 5 but keep going til you can get it through. Learn one or half of one bar at a time, slowly on repeat while counting. Then join them together when you can play both well until you can play that well. Try attaching bars together after you learn them perfectly. Go slow, it saves so much time in the long run!
Just an idea. But u should make drum covers of ur songs. Along with the tutorials. U giv us lessons and thats great. But i kinda wanna hear wat it all sounds like all together. Just an idea like i said. Like if u agree
Yes..I agree. Also would have liked it done in slow motion a couple of times. But that's just my opinion😉

Hey don’t know if you noticed but near 2:34 there’s a writing error.On the second measure you wrote one sixteenth note on the snare then three on you’re high Tom. You played it exactly as the first bar though , just throwing that out if anyone got stuck there like me.

Thanks for this short and useful tutorial. Just a suggestion, I was skipping a lot back and forth in the video (like many others I guess) but when I paused the video, the player controls were exactly over the bars. If you put the bars a bit up or maybe at the top, it will be much easier to seek in the movie.

I think there’s a notation mistake in the fill at 2:10, you played (and I think the original song plays) the second measure the same as the first by playing the snare twice on beat 4 and the & of 4, but it’s notated to play a tom on the & of 4. Not trying to be nit picky hehe I just thought it’d be good to know and maybe clear up some confusion for other viewers. Also, this tutorial is so great, thank you.

I learn a LOT from you. Thanks so much. Just one thing, there is a little gap in 2:23. You play well, but the transciption is NOT saying that is two snares. Anyway it is perfectly comprensible. Because is the same as the two first bars. Thanks again!

ConcreteSkyz Official Ive been playing a couple of months and just got this down today. Im a ten year + guitar player so not sure of thats helped. Just slow it right down and play over and over until it clicks then speed it up.

At around 2:15 the drum tab says there's only one snare hit in the 2nd measure and 3 hits on the high tom following the single snare, which is slightly different from the first measure. You don't play that in the video though, which is correct?
Usually the tab is correct. Sometimes I misread it in the video and don’t notice until I’m editing!

I have a question Sir. Are you playing this song to the actual drum notes or as you hear the drum part?...Ive watched several tutorials and the sticking are different in each one.😳
I listen to the song and write drum notes based on what I hear. I can sometimes tell what the sticking is just by listening, but after that I just go with whatever should be simple.
As long as you can get the sounds, you can do whatever you want with your sticking.

Just slow, steady practice - work on keeping it even and sounding good and eventually you’ll go faster and still sound good!
