    The tops of mountains, even in the UK, are so out of the common day to day experience we have, that they may as well be on a different planet

    I'm glad you did the 3 peaks separately tbh. I did them on 3 separate occasions across a few weekends and being able to take in the local scenery and culture by staying the weekend in West Hihglands, Lakes and Snowdonia makes for a much more enjoyable trip. Friends I've know who did the 3 peaks challenge from what I heard it seemed a bit tick-boxy and I'd be a bit disappointed not to have the chance to soak in the local vibe given those places aren't normally that frequented in the first place.
    The Yorkshire 3 Peaks is highly recommended if you've not done that already. A good day challenge physically as it's essentially a marathon walk plus 3 hills and no need to worry about driving in between.

    Snowden’s like a motorway and so many have accidents which is reflected in over 200 call outs for the mountain rescue team

    I love the ideas you have like doing the 3 peaks & backpacking Britain, i would really like if you changed the video style up though, it took hours to do these 3 montain hikes and we only saw like a minute of whatever you saw, and lots of your shoes hitting the ground, have a peak at WildBeare vids when she did Mt Snowdon if you want some different ideas of how to film these trips, & don’t be afraid to make the videos longer, we really like seeing you and most importantly what you’re able to see on these journeys :)

    The Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge (approx. 25 miles in under 12 hrs) is more challenging as it's continuous. Great vlog mate - I did this one back in 2013 with work, I was awake 40 hrs in total as I couldn't sleep on the mini-bus, so was absolutely knackered but elated - Great experience! Check out the Fan Dance if you're up for a challenge!!

    A cracking effort that! Every time I've been up Snowdon its been covered in cloud, even if its sunny at the bottom.
    Have you heard of the Welsh 3 peaks challenge? Thats Pen Y Fan, Cadair Idris and Snowdon and driving between them. Perhaps not as impressive as the national 3 peaks, but its a lot of fun!

    It's interesting to see Scafell from another route. I've done it twice starting from Seathwaite but looks like this is from the other side; I heard you can see as far as the Isle of Man on a clear day. Snowdon was as I thought here, so much more accessible than Scafell in terms of having a defined route and plenty of people to guide the way.

    • @ryanbowers1228
      @ryanbowers1228 3 роки тому

      Scafell from Wasdale is very easy to follow, just relentless and steep. But I would say that is the defined route up it, very easy to follow.

    Awesome you should come to the US and summit the hundreds of Peaks we have throughout our country from low elevation of less than 1000 feet to Highest Point in North America Denali at over 20,000 feet high., there are challenges in each State which has mountains. and of course the thousands of miles traveling is spectacular.

  • @ColinMcNulty

    Great video Liam though I was disappointed to see you taking stones. You may think "What does one small stone matter?" But 10 million people visit Snowdon a year for example, what if 10 million stones were taken every year?
    These areas of natural beauty need to be maintained for everyone, and one day your kids, and your grandkids. Wouldn't you want them to enjoy them in the same state you were able to?
    The countryside code reminds us to: "Care for nature - do not cause damage or disturbance. Leave rocks, stone, plants and trees as you find them..."
