Review and demo of a cheap HVLP Spray gun. sold by VEVOR. this gun id capable of spraying clear coat, base coat or primer. Had the 1.3 for clear, Basecoat, and the 1.7 for primer. great gun for primer or paint for DIY......

A little bit of water on the ground may be of help......next time!
Put a Louis Vuitton label on the gun and make it $950 the whole industry would instantly make it the go to spray gun.

What size compressor are you using and could I use a pancake compressor or is that too small?

I just ordered the LVLP gun from that company. Hopefully it's as good.

those are not as good as this one. But it does use a little more air than the LVLP. I have a LVLP just like the one on the vevor site and it is exactly the same as several other non branded ones. I dont like the atomization as much as this gun. this one is a super good gun cheap. Great for primer too. Sprays thick high build without thinning it with the 1.7.

I see Vevor recommends 13cfm for best gun performance. How much cfm are you getting with your compressor?

I think it is about 11 but it was not working that hard either. probably less.

Looks like it’s blowing smoke. Thanks for the tip.
Did you give the cfm required spec?

for full pressure it is a bit of an air hog probably around 11. But it sprays really good using much less air. Capable of really good finish at about 6 or 7

Can you change the container? It seems too big and difficult to handle seems like it would be top heavy

yea they come with the adapter for 3m disposable. they sell them at HF. you can use the disposables and clean and reuse them. you dont need to throw them away every time. The pot is a bit large but it works fine. I didnt feel it top heavy at all. Most of them come with a big one like that at HF except the spectrum. When your painting a whole car, having a bigger pot sometimes is better anyway. If you run out in the middle of a coat it is hard to remember where you are. I always stop and check about mid coat just to make sure I remember where I am going to run out at so I dont get runs. HF you need to buy the adapter they are about 6 or 10 bucks. This gun comes with it.

I have a devilbiss compact hvlp gun. Not a cup gun, hooks up to a pot. But I have a half gallon pot sprayer I can hook it up too. Would this be a good gun to use for painting car and also for clear coat? It had a 1.4 nozzle. Thanks
