Tks again for sharing. Liked the look of the primer yellow. But we had a yellow Dreere. It was a industrial Dreere. We used it to scrape the ally ways. A JD 40 with a sealed motor. Lost it the barn fire.
Such a perfect job!!! Your love for machines fills me with joy. It doesn't have to be new, you can also work with older machines. Minor repairs and like new. Many people just want to see a new one, but the new ones are not better than the older machines, they just cost more! Thanks Andy! That's why you are the best for me!!!. Good luck in the future.👍👌🚜
The newly painted tractor looks awesome Andy. You guys are beginning the new year doing what needs to be done and we'll be here tuning in to see what each new video has in store! All the best!
Jared does some amazing work on a daily bases. Sarah has really come into her own over the years in the shop. All the while mastering operations in the field. God Bless all of you folks and the family business.
Tractor looks AWESOME you are SO GOOD AT WHAT EVER YOU ARE DOING PLUS SARAH IS JUST AS TALENTED IN WHAT SHE CAN DO AWESOME WELDER KEEP VIDEOS COMING GREAT TO SEE YOU GUYS
Have you ever tried Slip Plate Paint in the grain tanks? No, it's not green, but is a graphite coating that helps grain slide in bins and gravity wagons/carts.
@@Adam_Poirier I used it for gravity wagons that I hauled grain in, and in the funnel bottoms of feed bins for ground feed. Worked well in all applications. Saved a lot of climbing into wagons and hitting on the bins. Lasts about 5 years before it needs refreshing, but it's good stuff.
Always a good idea to paint whatever it is that you've welded as a patch or putting in a pice of steel over a crack. Paint keeps things from rusting apart.
Andy, once you get everything all together on the combine, it would be a good idea. They hit it with a cord of wax like you would find in your automotive store. Just get that baby shining up it it’ll look brand new.
Happy New Year Folks. If You buff those stainless panels like is done on Alumiinum wheels. It'll bring out a chtome finish that'll last thr life of the panel. Nice looking paint job.
Hello Andy enjoyed your video. I was wondering how many hours working and engine on hours are on your combine. You may have said and i have missed it. Nice work have a good day.
Happy New Year Andy to you and your family and crew! The paint looks great! Is that John Deere paint? I always have had pretty good luck with John Deere paint
Man I was hoping for some of that proprietary Hourigan Red that you put on the last truck. Add some DT Syracuse wheel spinners. Oh baby! The younger generation at your place will be racing to run that. 🤣
Big fan of the show, Question for you. Sara seems to be an important talent on the farm as well as others. I was wondering does she have a lot of seniority or is she a family member?
Andy I'll admit that most of my painting has been in an international harvester red, but I always say a blind man on a galloping horse will never notice the runs. Far as that's concerned we're not going to show or putting it back to work so as long as the paint protects the metal that's fine.
Andy You are wrong about stainless out wearing black iron. I worked in a sugar mill for 36 years I worked with all kinds of stainless 304,308 and 316 . Stainless only out last mild steel when you have acids present. We use a lot of 16 gauge stainless to line black iron machinery that was expose to acids Silage and your chopped hay are all acidic. In your combine hopper I believe a better fit would have been plastic liners from poly tech. That's what we installed in our combine 6 years and still no sign of wear and very happy with them. They are pop riveted in and if you would have replace drill out the rivets and put in the new liner and re rivet. Trust me they were easier to install than what you chose. And yes I'm still farming .
Well I don’t think you know enough about that. If the plastic wears better than all 3 metals that you have described then install it in your feed mixer and let me know how well it wears.6 years in a grain bin on a combine is not that long.
You miss understand. Lining your feed wagons is a perfect fit for stainless. And so would a lot of manure applications. Stainless is for acidic applications. Your hopper is tarped so you don't have to worry about rust. In the combine hopper the plastic will out wear the stainless. My brother and I have close to 70 years of combined Industrial Mechanic Experience. And yes we we farm on the side.
Say it isn't so ! ..... That machine just won't perform correctly without a coat of "Megabux Green" on EVERY surface. Sarah sure fits down into those tight spots better than my "wide load" butt ever could.
Trust me the farmers don't get near that much for their milk. They get paid by weight. Used to be around 15.00 per 100lbs. It goes up and down. Couldn't tell u what it is right now.
Surprised you didn't prime and paint the forklift, so it looks brand new the next time that mechanic who told you it needed thousands of $ to fix it up can be told to warranty it!

Nice paint job Andy. Love the green and yellow.
Hi Andy !

Thanks Andy for your time and everybody have a good day ! 🙋♂️
Happy New year to all of our Farmers
It would be awesome if ya painted the yellow and green backwards on one of these restoration. Yellow tractor green rims and hubs.

Hope u had a good Christmas and a good new year with the family Andy
The holidays are a nice quiet time to get the lingering projects done. I agree. I like the quiet time in the shop it's like being on vacation.

Itll be all over the grain tho that would make a mess
@@Adam_Poirier No, it's a graphite paint. It's a lot like having a Teflon coated pan, things slide on it.
@@MorganOtt-ne1qj I know exactly what it is. I have 4 gallons sitting on the shelf right now
Do you use it in grain handling?

My favorite channel on the lube tube. Andy is a legend.
My goodness that was good paint throwing. Looks like a professional job done. Looks sharp

Tractor is looking good be nice to see it back in action !
Looking at that paint job from here in the UK Andy, it looks mint with no runs or dust. Top job as usual!
Good to get a minute to get some paint on the tractor
A special tractor, I like the yellow primer look.
Happy new year Andy , love your videos , always entertaining and educational. Keep up the good work.
Combine looks amazing for 20 years old. Great maintenance
Looks good. Interesting shade
I was ready to say leave it Cat yellow, but after seeing that fresh green paint is way better lol. Gonna be a fresh look around the farm!
Yellow and Green are the sporting colours of Australia. Your on a winner there Andy.

I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO ANDY 😊
Not boring at all. Glad to go along.
New combine? 2 planters gotta have 2 combines lol. Great video, crew does amazing work
Excellent paint job ! Especially how you masked around the tires and didn’t get any paint on them…..
Yes, GREAT job of masking the tires. I noticed that immediately. That is a pet peave of mine. 😉
I didn’t mask them
@@FarmingFixingFabricating what’s the secret then ?
@@FarmingFixingFabricating whoever masked the tires did a great job.
I have a trick that I have used for over 20 years. I’ve never covered a tire before when painting wheels
That’s where I’d keep my weed whip.
Like that you keep up the paint on the equipment as you do sad all the over spray

If not then I love the JD construction yellow idea!
Looks great … almost better off fixing vs replacing anymore
Good job guys
Looks good so far !,😁
Good work on the tractor. ALL THE BEST FOR 2024
Do the grain farmers even keep their combines 20yrs? They always seem to have all the new toys
Leave it buff yellow

@89nissancrawler that is so awsome so much talent. I grew up on a 50 to 55 milking dairy farm
Funny, you say CAT/DEERE! JUST GOT A 350KW CAT TOW BEHIND Genset, has a Deere engine in it!
Another good video Andy 🚜🌽🐄🇺🇸👍

Listening to you reminds me of »She looked good from far and she was far from good «
Happy new year. Exhauster fan 😊
We used Carbonite steel. It hardly wares at all
I am to a point were I watch u-tube videos. For entertainment. Let Andy's views know about a farmer in lower Tennessee called crop critic Reed farm's
