It has been confirmed! The Jabra Enhance Pro 20 is coming 💯
GN released their newest hearing aid, the Beltone Serene and the Resound Nexia, the first ever Micro RIC. Will this be costco's next hearing aid? I believe it will and i think it will be VERY SOON! This hearing aid will be one of the first ever to have Auracast and will also be one of THE SMALLEST prescription hearing aids EVER.

After returning my $7,900 Oticons to my current provider, I made an appointment at Costco in Mobile, AL. I went to the appointment yesterday, and to say that I’m impressed is an understatement. They were unbelievably thorough, much more testing than I received from either audiologist in my local medical centers over the last two years. They do have the Jabra Pro 20s, and I will be going back over to Mobile to get them in about 10 days. I was more than pleased by their professionalism, thoroughness and kindness. What a great experience!

The new Jabra device is called the Enhance Pro 20. My Costco got them this week. I received mine last Thursday. So far, I like them better than the Pro 10. The website has been updated to include the new units. I really like your videos. Keep up the great work.

I just asked my HIS at Costco about this last week since I saw the Nexia available for sale. She said she didn’t know, but thought it might be a while since Enhance Pro 10 was released within the last year. I’m hopeful. Auracast is going to be so cool. Available to everyone…not just hearing aid wearers. Thanks for the video!

Got fitted for the Jabra Pro 20 today in north Seattle. These are my first pair and I was impressed as I walked around the store. I am picking them up on Dec. 8th

THX for your channel; I have learned so much more about my Philips 9040s from you than from my Costco tech. The new firmware; the variety of program modes etc....he had me in 10mm domes but I had to request the 8mm....now I love my 9040s!

Does the Jabra Pro 20 able to use Autocast?
Costco is likely the most honest business I've dealt with. I'm glad you work there because of the cost of hearing aids, I wouldn't trust anywhere else.
That's great to hear, it definitely is the most honest place I have EVER fit and sold hearing aids.
My insurance will only cover costs if you go to one of the small shops where everything starts at $4K
I watched this with great interest, as my Costco hearing appt is this thursday.. this will be my first HA; I really appreciate your honest and straight forward reviews. I guess I will wait to see the next "latest and greatest" before choosing.... and of course, your review of it!

You'll wish you got them years ago. They'll change your life. Mine includes a device that plugs into the rear of your Smart TV for a direct connection to your HA's. You'll be able to watch TV with the audio. Crystal clear.
Your enthusiasm for helping others is infectious! It has been one week since discovering a mild hearing loss at a private provider, and your videos have helped me TREMENDOUSLY!!! I appreciate knowing there might be a higher level of technology available at Costco in the very near future. The larger size and wearability of the Jabra Enhance Pro 10, had me thinking I would have to pay twice as much at a private provider, for a mid-level, smaller and more comfortable device. I much prefer to wait for the likely possibility of a higher quality device for less. Thank you and keep up the excellent content :)

Yes! The technology is amazing. They have come a long way since I first started fitting hearing aids. When I fit my first pair of hearing aids in 2007, we were still using cables to connect them to the computer and adjusted the hearing aids using trimpots amd had to use precision screw drivers to turn them. Now, there are no more cables lol.

Kind Sir, 2 weeks ago; I went to my Costco near Duluth, GA. And the Costco Tech was Awesome. I mean incredible. He tested me; like I have never been tested. So, I chose the "Jabra Pro 10". And He said my hearing, is very serious low. I'm 91 yrs old
And "this one will do me well"! Plus, he put them on and it was great. But the only thing that hurts is; I can't afford it. Now, I see this one. you're talking about a new one "ReSound Rexia". My Question: is the cost lower than the Jabra Pro 10?

Well, it hasn't come out yet, although I strongly belive it will. Remember, I could be wrong. If/when it does, I don't see it having a a larger price tag. I sure hope it doesn't.

The new Jabra 20 now available in S Florida, be aware they are LOCKED to Cotsco and therefore can be adjusted only at Cotsco should you need a future adjustment elsewhere . Just ordered a pair yesterday. The technician had no clue or even heard about Auracast. :( Told the technician to research the product if it is going to be sold there! The good news is that they supply the domes for the life of the units…so they told me. They are small :)

I just came from Costco, They told me they are coming out with a new Jabra, I did not get the model number but they said they were ordering me a set and they would be the new ones. 11/14/2023 4:00PM west coast time.

Love Costco, as they take care of their employees and customers and have excellent customer service! Good prices and excellent return policies. Glad to hear they may have a different product soon. The current Phillips is a great brand but out of my budget.

I just got tested with my long time audiologist for the GN Resound Nexia 761. The size is pretty small and comes in 8 different colors. They told me they've them less then one year and it's a popular model they sell. My model is going to be the middle one out of the three. The phone app for Android is very buggy from what I've been reading on the Google Play Store. Cost was 3k and came with a three year warranty. I chose the non-rechargeable ones due to the work I do and need to change a battery very quickly. I pick it up in hopefully two weeks (waiting for some paperwork to be processed)

I'm not sure but when/if they come out, I will most likely purchase a pair and do a full review of it
Just received my new Enhance Pro 20s and returned my 3 month old Minis this morning and have no regrets. Smaller size, better technology, more features and better hearing so far. The new app for my iPhone is very similar to the one for the Mini, but does not have the restaurant mode, which never did much for me anyway.
You have the Pro 10 or 20? Well you should have all around and hear in noise programs or do you have front focus?
@@HearingClub Thanks for catching my mistake, which I have corrected above. Yes, I have both All-Around and Hear in Noise. Also, thanks to your "heads up" posting. I was the first to be fitted with the new model at the Naperville East hearing center.
I just got my minis a little over a month ago and went for follow up today. I mentioned to the tech I was wanting to get the the 20's instead and he basically told me he would have to ask his manager later abd basically kept telling me there was no advantage to getting them as the minis have Bluetooth LE too...did they give you a hard time about switching to the 20's?

I had my minis for 3 months and the lady who fitted me was very cooperative when I told her I wanted the Enhance Pro 20's. It is my understanding that Costco's hearing aid return policy allows you to return your hearing aids for any reason within 6 months of your initial fitting. Dig out the paperwork you signed for your minis.The manager of the hearing center in east Naperville was also the person who fitted me for both sets. I ordered and paid for the new Enhance Pro 20's at the biginning of my monthly VISA billing cycle. Within a week I was fitted with the new hearing aids. After the fitting the hearing center manager and I walked over to a return station, which was located in another part of the warehouse. I waited a few minutes while she walked down a hallway into an office where someone in upper management signed off on the return. My VISA card was immediately credited and within a few days the credit was posted to my account, wiping out the charge I made a week earlier for the new Enhance Pro 20’s.
There was a noticeable difference for me when I moved to the Enhance Pro 20’s. I am profoundly deaf in the higher frequency range and clarity is my biggest hearing challenge. The new aids provide me with greater clarity. Not a black and white difference, but a better shade of grey, if you know what I mean. I’m still challenged, but a little less with the Enhance Pro 20’s.

It is smaller and been officially put past 3 weeks. It’s rechargeable and does have a battery option.
Two days into my Jabra Enhance Pro mini from Costco...your YT helped me make the decision. Thanks! Is the new Auracast feature rolling out a software upgrade or a change in hardware? My Jabra mini has bluetooth capabilities.
Hardware or software, I haven't seen anything from ReSound to indicate that previous models will be upgraded. If Auracast comes out soon in Jabra at Costco, I'd have a talk to Costco about upgrading you.
I'm 90% sure it's a hardware update, not just software. But I may be wrong. Maybe our older Bluetooth hearing aids can get this auracast update. When I learn more, you guys will be the first to know. I will update everyone here.
Hearingclub, have you seen these new Jabra Pro 200 show up in any Costco's yet? Is the Jabra Pro 200 the same as the Jabra Enhance Select 200 HA that is being offered on the Jabra website? You've got a new sub.
Do you mean Jabra enhance pro 20? There’s no pro 200. No the Jabra Pro 20 is not same as select 200. Select 200 is older model.
Thanks for your great videos. As you know, Costco now has the Jabra Pro 20 (and Jabra OTC will soon have the Enhance Select 300, which I assume will be the same device). One shortcoming of the Jabra compared to, say, the Sennheiser OTC All-Day Clear, is its inability to enable hands-free calling on my Android phone. When I called Costco to make an appointment, I was told by the guy there that Jabra would be making an update in the foreseeable future that would enable hands-free calling on Androids. Does that sound right to you? Also, with the new Philips app now out, do you have any new thoughts since your most recent videos as to how the Philips 9040 compares to the smaller Jabra Pro 20? Or, for that matter, to the Sennheiser?

Thank you for the kind words my friend! I'll tell you what, a lot of folks have been requesting a philips vs jabra video, etc... i'll be working on one as soon as i can. But i'll say this, since philips updated the app and added the real equalizer, it has definitely elevated the philips 9040. In the last week or so, i'd say i've fit almost exclusively, philips 9040's. And yes, i also have heard that they are working on hands free for androids. When i get some concrete info, i'll update everyone.
Do you think they’ll release another Rexton “soon” since Signia just released their new IX hearing aids, which are Bluetooth LE ready?

Brian...if you get any flack from your employer...you were the one responsible for me and my wife' first hearing aids ever . It started with your " don't spend thousands" video.
I spent about an hour with my brother in law about Costco's hearing aids. He had aids about 20 years ago...wore them only a short time and paid over $6,000. I explained the new technology and sent him 5 of your videos...and it looks like he and his wife wil (also)l be getting from Costco.

You probably already know by now. I went to Costco today 11/8 in Wenatchee, WA for my heading test. Ended up ordering the Jabra Enhance Pro 20. The HIS told me they just got the paper work in this week to order them. I chose to get the model with the size 13 battery. It has Bluetooth LE and Auracast. I go back on 11/20 for the fitting.
How much did it cost for the Pro 20's?

Hi, can you tell me why you prefer the Jabra over the Phillips at Costco. I purchased the Phillips and I’ve tried them for approximately two months and have a terrible time streaming and talking on the telephone calls are coming in really low volume thinking about switching to the Jabra.
i prefer the jabras because it has more options in the app like the noise filter option and a couple of others. The philips are great though, you need to talk to your fitter to help with the streaming volume. They can help you.
Just found your channel.. outstanding info! Are you, or have you already done a YT on any in-ear options out there? I’ve been wearing over the ear aids for years and would love to try an in-ear option at some point. I didn’t see a video on your channel, but perhaps I just missed it. Keep up the great work. Will these new hearing aids work with those of us that have a profound hearing loss? I am currently using the Resound hi power aids.
Yes you can use the Jabra high power receivers just like you are with Resound.

I bought the Jabra enhanced for the rechargeable battery feature but I am not happy with the iPhone app at all. Setting up your own favorites when you are technically handicapped like me sucks and the app keeps loosing its connection to my hearing aids causing me to have to delete the app and reinstall it at least 4 times since my purchase only 3 months ago. I previously had the Berathon hearing aids that I also purchased at Costco that required battery replacement every couple of days but the phone app was far superior to the Jabra app. It came with numerous preset hearing controls like restaurant, tv, movies, live shows, one on one conversations, telephone, etc. at this point I am not going to buy another set of hearing aids until the fully in the ear version technology is developed because although the over the ear type has advanced technology, I find wearing the over the ear aids annoying especially when also wearing eye glasses.

It is the Jabra brand made by GN. Yes 3 years manufacture warranty and 2 years lost & damage warranty at Costco
Costco says I can a new hearing test every 2 years. How strict is this? My 2 years are up in Feb, but I could use a hearing test now.

It's very hard to find information on the jabra hearing aids. That's why I make these videos, you can try on their websites. If you find anything, let me know! I plan on doing a video on this but it will be a while
Will there be a full shell ITE version as well?
If there is, it usually comes out much later. This is the normal product roll out. They usually start out with the RIC versions and then offer the custom versions months later.
The new Jabra's are in stock at my local Costco! I am having my new Enhance Pro 20's (micro) fitted on Tues. 11/15.

I have Phonak hearing aids and they have real actual Bluetooth and I love them. With Bluetooth I just connect to any Bluetooth device, my phone, my pc, my cars, my TV, etc directly without a need for another device to do it. Why do other hearing aid companies not add just regular Bluetooth to ALL their hearing aids instead of making all these extra devices to do what Bluetooth already does? I guess so they can charge old people with hearing loss more money to buy more things? I tried Resound aids and they are great except you will live in the 20th Century without Bluetooth connectivity. My Phonaks are like welcome to the 21st Century and Bluetooth connectivity. I will NEVER buy any hearing aid without true 100% Bluetooth like my Phonaks have. Why would I want to go back to the 20th Century or dark ages?
The other companies obviously want more money for all of their proprietary accessories

17 channels. It's the same as the Beltone Serene 17 and the Resound Nexia 9

Yes, like Richard said, the day you get your aids, your 6 month trial starts. You will have 6 months to return/exchange your hearing aid. This is one of the MANY great things about getting hearing aids at costco.

Only when using the new TV streamer. Other than that, I don't believe so. But when these come out, even if I have to purchase a pair, I will be doing a detailed review covering everything. Whether or not they use the same chip as the enhance pro 10's and everything in between.
Costco has deals on some electronics on Black friday. Would that include hearing aids. If not, are there any months when they might be on sale at a discount price?
I doubt any of the prescription hearing aids would be on sale but the OTC hearing aid may, I have no idea.

I just got my Jabra enhance pro 10 mini hearing aids last week. I go back for an adjustment in another 10 days. They are set at 75% of my prescription. Everything sounds tinny and too loud. My biggest disappointment so far is the way my guitar sounds when I play. I just upgraded my Samsung s8 to an s23ultra. I was advised that Apple phones have more hearing aid features, but I couldn't deal with the learning curve. I'm hoping there are some adjustments that can be made with the Jabre app on my phone. I'm wondering if there was another hearing aid option that I may have overlooked. any thoughts or advice?
What’s too loud? And tinny just means couple things, you’re a new user and it’s tinny because it’s first time you wearing them and your brain not used to hearing all frequencies properly. But after wearing them for 8 hours per day for a week or two and it’s still tinny, then you need go get your High frequency lower and mid to compensate for tinniness.

I have a TV Streamer for my Jabra hearing aids. It works good for the most part but when I go to a different screen on my android phone it will disconnect for maybe 10 seconds. I believe this problem is fixed with Android 13, but my phone won't update past Android 12. I think that some of the disconnect problems are solved with Android 13 as well. Were you aware of this?
All im aware of are the vast amount of issues with hearing aids and android phones. If you want a smooth experience with your hearing aids when connected to the phone, get an iPhone.

I just talked to a Costco Hearing Aid representative and they received a memo about the new Jabra Enhance Pro 20 but they are still not able to order it.
Ya that's so weird. I originally thought all the stores would have the same availability and logistics but I'm slowly finding out otherwise.
I was able to order my Jabra Enhance Pro 20 hearing aids from the Bozeman store on November 7th and they were the same price as the Jabra Enhance Pro 10's at $1,599.99.
I’m needing to purchase hearing aids but I have tried several different ones and it seems that unless I go to a audiologist office and pay $3000 or more then I can’t get something to filter unwanted noise and suppression of sudden loud noise. I just can’t pay for such highly priced hearing aids. I’m 68 and still hunt, fish and golf. I have insurance to cover part of the cost but just not going to waste another penny on junk.
You should check out Costco. They offer premium hearing aids for a fraction of the price! Check out Costco hearing in consumer reports.
I hope the incoming Enhanced Pro 20 will be compatible with the iPhone 15.

I want and need a hearing aid. However, none of the hearing aids I have ever seen will transmit high-fidelity sound because of little or no bass reproduction. Please discuss hearing aids that will faithfully reproduce music. Thank you!
Faithfully reproducing music is not what the hearing aids are made for and will most likely never accomplish this. This is why they make nice, high quality headphones for listening to music.
Some innovator will make a fortune one day as I don't believe anyone enjoys needing more than a single device. Afterall, the smartphone killed music players, cameras, GPS devices and a many others.@@HearingClub

So Auracast will make my 3week old Jabra10 obsolete?
It's really hard to say. If this new "auracast" feature is purely a hardware update, then yes, in a sense, it would be somewhat obsolete. But this will happen EVERYTIME a new hearing replaces the older model and they will ALL eventually be replaced. It's inevitable and we do expect some returns/exchanges for folks within their 6 month trial period. However... Maybe, just maybe, the auracast upgrade can be updated via a software update. We will see and when I get the info, YOU will get the info, I promise. And if ANY of you find something out, don't be shy, get over here and let me know.
I have an appointment at a Costco store on jan.25, 2024. Which hearing aide brand would you recommend that has the Auracast feature?
there is only one at the moment and that would be the Jabra enhance pro 20. i believe the next Auracast hearing aid that costco will offer will be the rexton. i know signia has them available already but for some reason, we still dont have it at costco.

@@HearingClub A couple of weeks ago they told me about it in the store itself. They had a training to present the Jabra product. But they couldn't tell me what model it was, smaller in size. Similar to the resound gn omnia in size they told me.

No. Though Auracast does use "Bluetooth Low Energy technology", BLE does not imply Auracast. It has other uses. Controlling and receiving notifications from your aids primarily.
Like John said, Bluetooth LE doesn't imply auracast but auracast uses Bluetooth LE. Ot can be very confusing and I myself am still learning about the different Bluetooth versions or protocols and what they all mean. Sounds like John knows more about the different types of Bluetooth than I do. For now.... haha

It’s so much like my Phonax. Having used it for a while connected to Bluetooth; I can use it like any earphone But it can last almost 24 hours other wireless earphones cannot.

How are the 20’s the same or different than the Nexia 9?
They are the same. The only feature the jabras don't have that the nexia 9 has is the built in tinnitus blocking feature. But if you have an apple phone, it has tinnitus software built in so it wouldn't really matter.

Just spoke with Costco about the new version of Jabra with the Auracast system. They don’t have them yet. They do have the Jabra 20.
They are already out, the 20’s do have aura cast

Lol I get what you are saying. When I say things like this, it comes from my experiences. All the time I was with Beltone and costco, I have and still do spend about 50% of the time trying to troubleshoot and resolve issues with smart phones, connection issues, pairing issues, app issues and I do this all day long lol. I don't claim to know everything and I don't have experience will ALL hearing aids but I do have a lot of experience with a lot of brands and when it comes to pairing these things with phones, the iPhone experience is so much better, less issues and consistent. The Android operating system and the compatibility with hearing aids is Not as good as the iPhone but... it is getting better, that is a fact, and I'm sure Android will keep getting better.
It’s getting more crazier these days as tv manufacters,churches,cinemas,airplanes etc,, has to take modern hearing aids into account to sweet peoples to desire to hear everything properly.

I am waiting on the Apple Pro version. October 2022 The FDA made hearing aid availability easier for companies like Apple, Samsung, BOSE, JBL, Sennheiser etc to enter the market. Also, Clair Brothers Audio (they provide the sound for most concert tours) worked with Erickson (Auracast) to provide signal to hearing aids in concerts. The new technology is developing fast. I’ve worn aids for 20 years. I’m excited about the future for hearing aids users. The only question now is ‘when do I jump in. Now or wait as the technology evolves?”
If you wait for the “technology evolving” you will be waiting forever, technology will improve every second and it will never stop evolving.

Costco, as of now, does not fit cros aids. And it sucks, when I worked for beltone, beltone didn't either. It's not even complicated, idk why.

Great video, I am actually going in to Costco Wednesday 10-25-23 for my fitting of my new Jabra enhance pro 10 mini’s. Now I don’t if I want get these are just wait on the new ones. Maybe I can take these and I have 100 days to return them and get the new ones. Will Costco allow me to do that? Thanks for the great information.
They will grumble about it since technically, it gets logged as a return and refund, which hurts our numbers but in the end, it doesn't matter. Yes you can and yes they will let you. After a couple returns, you might hit a roadblock. But 1 or 2 returns/exchanges is fine and well within your rights. As exciting as new hearing aids are and I totally get it...I would suggest that you give it a couple of weeks. If we don't hear anything by then, Go for it and order the enhance pro 10's. But.... you can use this time in between to setup appts so you can go in and demo the different hearing aids.
Well I got fitted for my hearing aids yesterday and so far I love them. Very natural sound. I watched a movie last night and could actually hear and understand what they were saying. Thanks again.

one really bad thing about this is BATTERY LIFE. streaming time on hearing aids is MUCH LESS than just using the telecoil.
Correct, however, according to Jabra, hearing aid battery charge guaranteed 24 hours.

I assume Costco is silent on upcoming changes because they need to control the narrative and market expectations in product changes. They also want to avoid third parties such as yourself from creating buzz for non-existent products to prevent premature customer inquiries and could also delay the purchase of current gen products when people wait for a new product that may never arrive. As a Costco employee, I’d be careful not to ‘predict’ some thing that could alter a customer’s decision to buy something today. An outside observer can say whatever they want, but an employee needs to be careful.

I just bought a pair of Jabra Enhanced Pro at Costco. My first hearing aids. But to be honest with you, all that I’ve read about the Bluetooth Auracast, I will certainly consider exchanging the Pros for the GN Auracast version bc I travel and want to hear the Airport gate info if it is streamed via Auracast. Don’t fret about another Costco employee throwing FUD on your videos. Your heads-up and knowledge is well worth waiting or exchanging. Let me ask your Costco buddy, has he ever exchanged or returned something from Amazon after realizing there was a better product out there? He’s a hypocrite warning you to be careful. You might be wrong about the release in timing or availability through Costco but after watching another R & D expert at GN say that Auracast was the future audio for hearing aids, I’d keep posting your videos. Looking forward to the next one. Please don’t delay when you verify that these Auracast hearing aids are available at Costco! I want to be the first to know so I can make a decision to upgrade. Ty for the feedback. I tried a video with no background music and it's just, so dull and boring. I set the music so low you can barely hear it when I'm speaking. My buddy has a severe to profound hearing loss and he said it's fine. I'll lower it some more in my next video

Yes, I believe John is right on this one. For a "Premium Technology Level" prescription hearing aid made by a top manufacturer "GN" ... it has a very good price. The MSRP of their counterparts made by the same manufacturer are around $6 - $10k. Other manufacturers that produce the same quality hearing aids are anywhere from $5k all the way up to $12,000!!!! It's crazy
2year old technology, but who cares as long as you can hear. Also, the software is proprietary, which means you can only go to Costco for repairs, updates, and adjustments. No one else can help you for any software issues. Receivers and domes can be replaced by anyone who happens to have the parts but that’s about it.
