First SpaceX launch that I get to watch on my new Starlink RV service in a Waitlisted area. 136 Mbps down, 16 Mbps up, 24 ms latency. In the 7 years I've been at this house/address, I have not been able to watch a UA-cam video at 1080p HD without excessive buffering .... Until now! I'm loving it! I can't imagine how fast service is going to be when Priority service opens up here.

I think I missed the moment of ignition, but just caught the plume of SES-3 from my backyard in Toronto. Then I ran back inside for my binoculars, aimed at what was left of the plume, then found the stage and followed it for a good few minutes - but due to a motion-activated light at the back door, I lost sight of it before payload deployment.

She said it was the cold gas thrusters. Makes me wonder if SpaceX didn't want to acknowledge flying over a thunderstorm. I can't imagine why. It was pretty neat to watch though. That along with the titanium grid fins throwing out sparks at Mach 5. I thought F9 launches would eventually get mundane. I thought wrong. Yes, it appears to be flashes of lightning in two separate places…left edge of view might be over Florida, middle of screen flashes might be out over the western Atlantic Ocean. The booster is not in sunlight, so nitrogen gas thruster emissions are not illuminated, can’t see them. Jessica might have got that wrong, but I still like her. 🙂. And hopefully I didn’t get this wrong, myself.

THIS. So many people knock Elon. Ok he may be difficult. He may be hard to like some times. But he's smart. He's driven. He has a vision. And he takes the people that WANT the same success along for the ride with him. He's not selfish in MY opinion and when it comes to having an idea and saying "Hey I need these people to help make this dream come true" every time I watch one of his masterpieces come together he let's US the public watch him FAIL because failure is part of the success. And to think this is a man that did all this himself. People can say what they want about Elon Musk but I personally have alot of respect for the man. My dream has ALWAYS been to reach the stars as a kid, my life just never went in that direction. Elons SpaceX gives me and my children and families all over the world the opportunity to watch to learn and to dream with him. My daughter now has desires to do something with space...not sure what yet maybe she will work at JPL one day or SpaceX itself or maybe she will become an astronaut. Elon has instilled a dream in alot of young (an older ppl) that to be honest seemed to be slowly dying. The desire of space and to reach the stars is alive again. 🤗🤗🤗 I for one am a kid in a candy shop!!! Eeeeeee!

Not entirely fair. The New Shepard has a pressurized volume of 15 cubic meters, compared to Crew Dragon's 9.3, and the videos from the New Shepard flights clearly show the passengers having plenty of fun floating about the cabin, turning somersaults, and other activities. Also, they are definitely charging most of their passengers. They let Captain Kirk and a few others go up on the cuff, the others paid.

Someone please tell Jesse what lightning looks like from high altitude. She mistakenly pointed out that lightning ⚡️ was RCS on the booster after separation.

I found this video cause I was drinking with friends Saturday night/Sunday morning in the backyard and was staring at the stars and seen this thing in the sky appear before me. I was like wth is that and then it shot the mist and really put on a show. I live in south eastern Nebraska. So at the end of the video more is what I saw in real time in person. Amazing I could go online and not only find out what it was but have the algorithm find the video 2 days later. Crazy! Neat show if you happen to catch it in person!

Every time I watch a launch... I am just amazed. I MEAN THAT 1ST STAGE LANDING!!! The camera didn't even cut out this time!
So many people knock Elon. Ok he may be difficult sometimes but he's a businessman. He may be hard to like some times (who isn't?).
But he's smart. He's driven. He has an outstanding vision. And he takes people that WANT the same success along for the ride with him. But, Elons SpaceX gives me and my children and families all over the world the opportunity to watch to learn and to dream with him. I wonder if this is what NASA felt like to people back when it 1st became REAL and not just an idea.
My daughter now has desires to do something with space...not sure what yet maybe she will work at JPL one day or SpaceX itself or maybe she will become an astronaut😲. Elon has instilled a dream in alot of young (an older ppl) that to be honest seemed to be slowly dying. The desire of space and to reach the stars is alive again. 🤗🤗🤗 I for one am a kid in a candy shop!!! Eeeeeee!
    *sorry for the excited rant

I must say that I am at a loss for words to explain the awesomeness of actually being able to see the 2nd stage assembly, early this morning, when it passed over the Southeastern area of The Great Lakes. My vantage point was 60 miles West of Norfolk Va. I could see it perfectly, as it sent out clouds while maneuvering into position, just before deployment. Unfortunately, trees blocked my vision before deployment.

With daytime launches we are more focused on the stunning images of the flight (mostly of the 1st stage). But this night time flight puts the trajectory view to the front, showing the enormous kick the 2nd stage gives from its startup, put in perspective with the 1st stage one. It gives a very good idea of the power of these machines 😳
Great view of the lightning storms BTW.

Would be cool on the Psyche mission in August.
