- SpaceX is targeting Monday, January 31 for launch of the COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation FM2 mission to low Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The instantaneous launch window is at 6:11 p.m. EST, or 23:11 UTC.
At this point, "seamless" doesn't even accurately describe these launches. This was absolutely stunning
Yeah, exactly .
i saw it it was amazing , you could see the stages!!!!
They make it look easy.
One word Space X, Stunning!!! Elon Musk you are a true Blessing to Humanity! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do!!
Wow sums it up for me - being here since the beginning of SpaceX. I am happy and grateful to be alive at this current human era to see the progress, while being sad of how society works these days.
Jesse Anderson is the absolute best narrator! Way to go! Thanks!
SpaceX literally pushes their limits upwards all the time that it’s insane to think about it. Also the tracking shot at 18:24 is just incredibly precious. SpaceX is a very important thing in the history of the human species
And the Biden Admin. acts like they hate him. They cannot control him and he's years ahead of any space program by any gov't.
@@lifelongconservative3338 more like decades ahead, since they already started developing reusability on orbital rockets around a decade ago and no other companies have yet to follow them
@@lifelongconservative3338 I have been getting emails from Jill Biden and others from the DNC to send Joe Biden's team money. After some consideration of recent historical events, I suggested they ask Mary Bara. Apparently she is the leader of the GM team conquering the electrification of vehicles. So my guess is that Mary will send Joe some more money and therefor I don't have to. Perhaps once again Joe can say "You did it Mary!".
That was pretty awesome!
@@groundsymphony rocketlab has recovered their boosters and the shuttle and its boosters were also reusable, what do you mean?
17:56 Amazing shots from the ground camera! Must have been a clear sky and a really great lighting to capture such crisp images all the way through stage separation. 18:29 Shows the real scale of the second stage nozzle. I hope they will show more of such footage in the future launches!
Abnormally cool temperatures, coupled with very low humidity made for great views (much better than normal) from my vantage point -- - 115 km from launch point.
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
Really awesome!!
really stunning footage. Was little disappointed that they missed the fairing separation moment would be one of a kind footage. Anyway they could add some wider footage so we could see the shining trail. We normally see it by other people covering it
@@LaggerSVK There is very good footage from the amateurs as well. I particularly liked the views of the thrusters firing on the first stage flying back to the landing zone in the video from "Cocoa Beach 365" channel. But SpaceX ground camera had the best clarity. It would be great if they could publish the uncut footage from it as a separate video. If enough people ask Elon on Twitter, they just might... ;)
“In bocca al lupo!” 🇮🇹 16:03
As an Italian, I appreciated that little touch. It’s an expression to wish good luck, for those wondering. Flawless launch as always, SpaceX!
Crepi il lupo! :D
Si risponde "Viva il lupo!". Perché la bocca di una lupa è il posto più sicuro per il proprio cucciolo😉

16:03
È in realtà buona fortuna
It’s actually good luck
18:00 This was 100% by far the most amazing launch footage I've seen in years. Bravo!
... !!!!!! .......
Its like, they upgraded the Camera's.. SEEMD alot clearer.
@@rippleyaliens8275 This launch was almost due south which helped. Also the sunset launch kept it in good light longer.
@@gingerman5123 Legendary launch.. I admit. AND wow.. I kinda wished I could visualize that.
I am thinking of road trip, for the STARSHIP launch..(offical). JUST to actaully visually see it. HOPEFULLY with some 8k gear, lol
@@rippleyaliens8275 I live in Austin so it's only like 6 hour drive. I can't wait for that.
The camera person did a great job with filming the booster and upper-stage separation! Amazing to watch!
That's absolutely true! nice view. Keep going with your channel, perhaps, some day Mars will be on your videos
Just so you know, the tracking shot (the one that shows separation and booster turn around) is pretty much impossible to film by hand due to how precise the movements need to be. It's always done by a camera that moves and follows the rocket automatically.
@@ilyaholt8607and i assume that they use a motorised mirror instead of moving the whole camera
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
as an australian, this is the closest thing i can get to watching a rocket launch with my very own eyes, great launch and landing and i also hope the satellite works perfectly
I hope you have the chance to come watch a launch in Florida someday! Its an amazing experience.
It’s an art form at this point
I got to see it from my house in georgia it was super dope
Head to NZ and watch an electron launch
There are plans for launching a small space rocket form "Southern Launch" launch facility at Whalers Way in South Australia this year. The rocket is built by Korean startup "Perigee Aerospace".
There are also some very adventurous experiments conducted by "Hypersonix Launch Systems" associated with University of Queensland, but they are still in rather early stages of development.
18:28 OMFG the lighting conditions were just perfect for this, absolutely amazing shots
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
18:39 u can see the first stage FROM the second stage!
18:18 Amazing shots of the stage separation! 😃 Great work, and congrats!
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
WTF with this bot replies?
@@supercoolmunkee I reported them multiple times, but UA-cam doesn't seem to care. :P
Seeing that stage separation and stage 2 engine plume hitting the interstage at the top of stage 1 blew my mind. I never realized that things can get this toasty for the interstage. This is, by far, the best live video I've seen of any orbital rocket launch. Great job to the SpaceX team.
Just before the first stage leaves the frame you can see it flip and relight its engine to head back to the launch site.
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
Agreed. They were sick! I had goosebumps watching it!
Those telescopic views on ascent were simply amazing!
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
That stage separation shot was nothing short of amazing! Top it off with another beautiful landing. This space nerd is very satisfied. Good job SpaceX!!!

Wow, that stage sep was just gorgeous! Thank you camera team!
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
I can watch these launches 1000X and not get tired of it!!!!
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
No matter how many times SpaceX nails these landings, it never gets old. Goosebumps every time
This was by far the MOST BEAUTIFUL launch and landing I’ve ever seen from SpaceX. All of these launches are awesome, but the timing of this was just beyond incredible! I guess the delays paid off weirdly enough for this one ig…..
Да, впечатляет
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
I never get tired of watching first stage landing!
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
That was the most beautiful landing! Amazing, never gets old especially with these great shots. Thanks everybody at SpaceX!
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
I have watched most of the available SpaceX videos, and I think this has been the absolute best photography so far.
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
Thankyou all at SpaceX truly amazing footage, didnt think I would ever see visuals like this!
SpaceX can deliver a satellite to orbit faster than Pizza Hut can deliver a pizza.
18:24 and 23:21 just f**king amazing.
SpaceX is going for 52 launches this year, which would be an average of one per week.
2021 - 31
2020 - 26
2019 - 13
2018 - 21
2017 - 18
Agreed!!! Florida clear cool weather....helped a lot!!!
Right-o
I couldn’t agree with you more. Absolutely amazing.
there was probably a significant photographic advantage to the series of delays - this was remarkable video.
BN Thanks buddy
These shots were just something else! I audibly said WOW multiple times very loudly, during this flight.
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
The camera work for this launch was insane! What a time to be alive!
separation close up was absolutely phenomenal!!!! thanks!!!
I believe this is the finest launch footage ever recorded. Unprecedented HD color video of stage separation, boostback and fairing separation. Outstanding videography!
Also, a little moment of appriciation to the sound designer for the spacey rave breakbeats and chill out soundtracks during the pause, which brought back some sweet 90's gaming memories.
I watched this from the 8th floor of the hospital I work at in central Florida. With the sun in the position it was in, I saw absolutely everything.. even the puffs from the cold gas thrusters making adjustments on the way back. Awesome launch
What a launch and what outstanding views too!
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
one of the most stunning cam angles i’ve ever watched! change my mind.
Love it when Jessie is announcing. You can tell she is passionate about this and loves her work.
Beautiful with sunset behind it!!
Stunning to be able to see the separation from ground. I really hope space-x never get tired of making these live casts, i will never get tired of watching them. Thank you space-x team.
Thanks Jessie for talking us through the launch sequence. Sensational views of stage separation.
Outstanding views today!
Fabulous job by the lady presenter! 😄👍👍😎 Flawless in her ability to stop talking mid-sentence when she hears a call-out. Ma'am, you have nailed it! So much better than in the past, this was perfect. Kudos! Really, really good. You deserve to be proud of the job you did. Keep up the good work! Elon, give this woman a raise!!
Great shots of the Meco and boostback - well done camera operators.
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
I luv the gimble wide push. And the gimble in the boost back
Launches just after sunset are always awesome! It is dark on the ground but the rocket is in the sunlight. Then add the polar orbit southward launch, it makes it visible from land. Normally it goes eastward and you can't see the separation.
These camera views are fantastic! Great work making these launches even more engaging! Oh yeah, and nice job landing the first stage and deploying the satellites and stuff.
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
I have watched just about every launch and this one was the best yet. The camera work was better than ever, and the camera team along with its principal video engineer/team leader should get a raise.
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU… those ground shots are so much better to see everything that’s happening. Amazing footage
Love the Space Tunes !!! 25:26
At 19:15 the view of the 2nd stage on the left side of the screen, is incredible! I’ve longed to see that view. Really illustrates that step in the journey. Amazing how clear, colorful and smooth the video is! 🏆🥇
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
Those were some spectacular tracking shots from the ground - well worth the multiple scrubs.
Yeah, they teased it and then delivered in a big way.
I'm Italian: thanks SpaceX to send in orbit our satellite!
Also, amazing view from the ground camera this time, simply beautiful!
The landing of the first stage just blows my mind - so cool!!
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
Incredible views on this launch. Never cease to amaze me :)
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
OMG wow!!!! The footage of this launch is the best yet. The bar is set!!
SpaceX.. what can I say, you never, ever fail to impress. The views of MECO, Stage Sep, SES1 and Boostback... Just wow. Just caught the end of the Fairings separating too on the ground camera. Keep it up. The tracking shots from ground and those remote cameras are getting so good with each and every mission. With some 51 other launches planned for 2022, no doubt we will be seeing a lot more epic footage such as this!
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
That landing scene is just SpaceX showing off. What a pretty picture!
The stunning view, just past sundown of Falcon 9 back on Earth @24:00. With Jesse, I am truly amazed with what SpaceX and its people have done. Then later @ 1:16:05 the COSMO satellite is launched. Such a WOW event!
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL video of the launch, separation and landing!!! 🚀🤩😍
this was landing perfection. the view was perfect
Just perfection. No matter what the payload is, landing the first stage is still belle of the ball.
ua-cam.com/video/IeJla8JaNR8/v-deo.html
What!! I've never seen stage separation from the ground before! That looked awesome!
Great job on sharing the experience. Thank you. With you getting all cinematic, you are making life Hell for the flatheads.
Go Kramer.
Okay, THAT was the most beautiful launch & landing yet!
MAN! HOLY COW ON THE CAMERA SEPERATION SHOT!!!!! WOOO HOOO!!
Ground cameras were awesome. First time I witness a MECO, stage sep and boost back ignition as well as second stage ignition. Love to see this.
This looks incredible. Imagine bieng on the SpaceX team to make things like this happen.
What a picture that landing was! Excellent work, SpaceX. Thank-you. 🙂👍🚀
The ground camera footage was insaaane!
yet another ground breaking launch. musk you are a living legend.
Honestly, I never get tired of seeing the booster rocket land, whether by land or sea. Koodos to you, SpaceX!
0:18:14 The stage separation greatest view ever
0:23:45 Booster landing

The visual documentation really gets better everytime. Just incredible!
Love these views. I would really like to encourage and suggest SpaceX create individual dedicated videos of each camera view. Some of these would be so great to see uninterrupted. Well done!
What a view! You can finally see the separation from Earth.
I was glad to get to watch this launch. Thank you. 🚀😊🇮🇹
Congrats SpaceX on another successful mission.
How on earth (literally or is it from a high flying aircraft) have they got such clear footage of the separation! Amazing!
I think this is the NASA tracking scope, not sure why it was used this time in a non NASA flight, also the IR camera of stage one landing is also NASA.
@@reubenmitchell5269 Thanks Reuben, they obviously struck a deal, old Missile tracking technology, atmospherics must have been perfect!
@@charris939 it is amazing, possibly the best shots of an object "in space" ever made public? I'm sure the Military has better
@@reubenmitchell5269 Yep
With all the technology available today, those views are not hard to capture now.
i get the chills everytime i see them land... amazing!!
Some of the best video I have seen of a SpaceX launch! Thanks.
Man those landings never get old!
Made me say “Wow, just Wow!”. Thanks for sharing.
These launches never gets old. Way to go SpaceX!
What a great sequence. Those shots were incredible! SpaceX live coverage is the best by far! I hope we will see many many more.
I never get tired of seeing these things start and land - like a swiss clockwork with a landing soft as a kiss!
Now this was a beautiful launch.. The shots captured are stunning. SpaceX continues to push the boundaries
Finally, our Italian Mission is into the orbit 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
The best launch coverage so far.
When she said "go COSMO", i automatically responded "yeah! Go Kramer!"
the continuous shots for the recent launches have been incredible!
The booster landing always amazes me.
Somebody buy that ground camera operator the beverage of their choice. That was a great shot of stage separation. I would have loved to see a stage 1 follow all the way back down as part of the split screen.
This might be one of the greatest SpaceX launches ever captured.
It was the perfect moment of the day to see that stage seperation while Falcon 9 was being lit up by the sun. This must be one of the coolest launches ever recorded!! Way to go SpaceX, you've changed the world!!!
Incredible!
Best launch video to date! The camera views were out of this world😲😲😲😲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
That MECO/Stage seperation/boostback sequence is seriously impressive. These launches are so regular now, but it still gives me goosebumps everytime....
it is just unbelievable what happens with rockets today. What a great camera shot of the landing...AWESOME
I never get tired of watching these launches.
That flip is so cool to watch. It's amazing how operating a vehicle has become a spectator event.

That is one beautiful candle those are some incredible ground camera shots . To get those the sky had to be very clear for a change.
What is this damn camera. It looks sooooooooo stunning. Most amazing looking launch I have ever seen!
Congratulations!
Incredible. Every. Single. Time.
More than a century on the board and these just don't get old, if anything, the visuals keep getting better
