Both Amazing videos..I don't actually own any Englehard bars,but they are my favorite..And now that you taught me what to look for, when I do eventually gets some, I know what to look for. Thank You Professor..I enjoy learning,and i definitely learned a lot.
Thanks again for watching. Engelhard were always the gold standard (there's a pun in there) when I was younger and there is definitely some nostalgia there!

One of the places that I don't frequent that often (Due to their low buy back price). They had about 30 ten ounce Engelhard bars , Did not even think of checking them for Waffleback or matching serial numbers. Kicking myself now.

Great pieces and variety. I’ve never gravitated towards Silver Towne but that one is quite pretty and I might have not passed that one up either. We just found a pair of almost consecutive third series 10oz Bull Hallmark Canadian bars in beautiful original condition at an antiques mall and couldn’t pass them up. Our reasons mirrored many of yours but it always just comes down to a je ne sais quoi aesthetic appeal and idea of how will fit into the collection.
That's really cool. I come across so few Canadian Engelhard pieces that they become kind of de facto stars of my collection.

Does allenglehard say what makes a bar a cominted silvertowne
They do. They are 6th series, P-prefix bars that actually say "SILVERTOWNE" across the front but that have the look of a 7th or 10th series Engelhard, and also have Engelhard serial numbers. Only about 650 pieces struck in total, I believe. You'll find it on AllEngelhard under the definitive pages for 10 ounce bars.
