Watching two versions of Sean, a decade apart, fall 100% for the exact same instance of the bug-on-the-screen gag, one right after the other... *chef's kiss*
I watched this in 2013. It was the first time I was hanging out with a girl from work at my house and we could not stop laughing. Fast forward to today and we are now planning our wedding
Damn, I actually did exact same, watching this in 2013 with a girl from work, first times hanging out with her. I did eventually attend her wedding few years later, as a guest xD
Day9 getting scared by his own gameplay is the most wholesome thing I've ever seen. I binged the hell out of these Amnesia videos when he did them and I'm so glad he revisited them.
Day[9], a gamer, SC2 pro, mentor, father figure, great storyteller and general great guy that had a outlook on life that taught me so insanely much about how to conduct yourself and challange yourself - better yourself. He did this to himself at an early age via SC BW and gave the to the world all he learned from the experience. My favorite funny Day[9] moment was when some SC2 players sent him some games and he played Celine Dion - My heart will go on with perfect timing in the last game. The dedication, planning and everything this dude did back in the day before he took his hand off the camera - insane.
This is genuinely one of my favorite clips of your career. I've shown it to friends and such so many times because of how funny and charming it is. God bless you, here's to 10 more years.
How is this 10 years ago. I was subbed for this. I was one of the rope guys, the greatest like...group mind game I have ever seen a chat ever do. It was Amazing. I rewatch this like every other year. HERE WE GO!
Watching this playthrough has been my Halloween tradition for at least 8 years - I always watch it with headphones on and the lights off in honour of Sean - and it always makes me laugh and scream in equal measures. Watching you watch and comment on you has had me in hysterical laughter for a full hour - I am crying, thank you sir. I will be adding this video to my Halloween Tradition XD
Oh man whenever I want a laugh, I STILL go back to these old videos. This was the start of my non-StarCraft content of yours and it was then that I decided that no matter what you streamed, I'd watch it.
54:33 the moment that broke day9 Btw thank you so much for revisiting this I was watching this live in stream 10 years ago and revisiting this now brought back so many memories, I'm loving it!
Oh my gosh, 10 years! This was one of the most memorable streams I've ever watched. I couldn't handle scary games either, and I think about Sean's experience any time I try to take on a horror game. Thank you so much for taking this trip down memory lane, Sean.
The "Daniel get out of the water" part had me in stiches. The first time I saw it 10 years ago and again today. Honestly haven't laughed so hard ever in my life. Again.
I've been watching your videos for about 11 years. I appreciate your approach to watching yourself; I got some perspective, today. Thank you Sean. Props to the editor here, as well. I thought the emails i was getting from Manfred have been from a mod, this whole time. I think it's even better, though. Thanks for the laughter Sean. To at least 10 more!
This just fills me with joy and comfort on a childhood level.... Thanks for one of the best Memory Lane trips I've had in a LONG time. We love you Sean
41:01 ah, yes the moment from the stream, where I screamed at the top of my lungs at around 3 am and had to silently laugh-cry while my neighbours were wondering, if somebody was killed.
What does it for me is the solid 2-3 seconds that he takes to stop moving, shake his screen, scream at the top of his lungs THEN proceed to run to the ladder and climb up. I need to rewatch this series again XD
This is so beautiful. I was watching the dailies from around the 50th and I remember waking up in the middle of the night the catch the shows and I did the same as a 15 year old for the Amnesia playthrough. I've learned so much from Day9. Not only how to greet my opponents properly on a monday for a submission but also that it's okey to be a nerd who gets rejected by your own Felicity only to laugh about it in the future. Now I'm in my 5th year of uni doing data science inspired by Day9s sick math and I'm still to this date explaining thoughts and theories in Paint. Thank you for all these years, and all those to come Sean. it's been truely wonderful
I'm mad I'm only just now watching this, but I had to say that this Amnesia playthrough is the reason I have my best friend in my life! We watched this together a decade ago now and we are still inseparable to this day. This is easily still my favourite thing to watch on UA-cam.💚
I watched this live way back in the day. Oh man, a blast from the past. This was so funny and its so cool to see you watch yourself. I try very hard to watch this playthrough every year for halloween.
I watched this live and ever since I make it a little tradition to watch the Playlist during Halloween of watching Sean cry and sob while playing this game. It's the best. Thank you for your suffering 🤣🤣❤
Watching this playthrough is already fantastic as is, by Sean reacting to it 10 years later makes it so much better. Thank you for this entertainment today lol
My older brother and I watched this live! Ever since then we've had the tradition of watching the let's play every Halloween! Congrats on the 10th anniversary of the best let's play ever made
God I forgot about this stream. I only found Day9 back in 2015 and this was one of the first video I watched. Thanks for all the years of great content :)
I still remember watching this. I was living far from home for the first time and taking classes in a school where I didn't fit in and felt pretty isolated. Some serious crap went down that I won't get into here and watching internet videos was pretty much my only escape from what had become a very difficult time. I remember also being pretty afraid of scary games at the time, but I figured if Sean was gonna play Amnesia alone in the dark, then dang it I was gonna watch alone in the dark in solidarity. Really, it was like exposure therapy and it worked really well. I have absolutely no fear of scary games anymore, almost to the point of them being ruined for me. I'm hoping to move far from home again soon, and if things go well for me I'll always be able to look back to a time when they weren't going so well but people like Sean and others kept me going.
Gosh, 10 years already. I remember watching this in my undergrad live, and then watching the youtube videos over and over again. Such a great series but I do think it actually left Sean with some PTSD for the next few years as he screamed Daniel whenever he was stressed or scared.
This playthrough got my through a really dark time in my life. I've watched it a couple times since then, feeling scared and laughing and everything in between
Loved Amnesia so much, still one of my top 5 horror games. Really enjoyed your series back in the day, cool to see this. Amnesia was a big inspiration to me for the horror game I released last year (Atama)
Thank you for watching this and posting it to youtube :) I watched the full series when it got posted here on your channel. Id like to take this opertunety to thank you for all the hours of content you've shared during all these years. You were a big part of my young adult life, and for many others here too Im sure. I haven't thanked you before as I belive this is my first time commenting. So, thank you Sean :) 55:38 had me dying btw, it was nice seing you loose it again xD
I was failing university physics while Sean went through this, so in each our own ways we were terrified. The nostalgia! I remember waiting and waiting and waiting for each new stream.
I remember watching this live with my sister and when the monster gets the door slammed on him in the sewer we collectively screamed with Day9 at like midnight in a full house. It is still to this day, the best playthrough of all time and I make it a ritual to rewatch every 2 years at least. My dream is for Day9 to play the newest Amnesia game that just recently came out and give me more endless hours of entertainment for the future.
Jesus Christ... 10 years. What a legendary stream :D At that time, basically every streamer or youtuber played Amnesia, but Day9 was pretty much the only one where those scares were absolutely believable. You're the best, Sean!
This was an amazing life watch all those years ago... i still remember all the memes that were created about the world's oil usage being dominated by Day9 during this playthrough.
I'm glad Sean enjoys the best part (38:27-45:12) as much as I do. I've rewatched that clip so many times over the years, always makes me laugh so much it hurts
I can't believe this has been 10 years! I remember watching it live as much as I could and I had the playlist saved pretty much all this time. It's still the best reaction to the game I've seen, and even this video had me crying in laughter. Good to see you doing well Sean!
Cheers Day9 you are awesome, I have been a watch of this mans content more years than I care to admit. Just love the way Day tells stories! He is just sooo good! And I has never failed to bring me in a good mood when watching him.
I discharged from the navy in 2010. Day9 was and still is living my dream!! I watched ya live EVERY stream. You, and others, brought gaming to a NEW level.
Oh man, I remember watching this live! Also I love the Day[9]seption of freaking out about a bug on the screen while watching a video of Day[9] freaking out at a bug on the screen
Sean, I just want to thank you for your Amnesia play through. :) My sister and I watch the entire thing every Halloween week! It's one of our favourite annual traditions!
I cannot believe it's been ten years!!! I remember this so well! It was hilarious then and still is. Bless you, kiddo. You're awesome. Thanks for the laugh today and the great memory!
When your stream first came out on Twitch, I watched it every night. Was the only way to get through a lot of shit when I was growing up on my teens (self-destructive family). I loved watching the Day9 Dailies and your amazing bubbly personality. You got me into SC2, and when this video series came out in 2011...I don't think I had truly laughed in a very very long time. I just want to say thank you Day9 for giving me the power to move on and become the person I am today, and I will continue to enjoy your content :) You don't only inspire me but you inspired an entire generation with your streams and your educational content. Your castings were the best as well :) One day I'll have to buy you a drink or something to thank you :) Thank You Day9!
I just missed this when it first came out, but you can bet I binged it with some friends on your site after we found it a few months later. These days, my fiancée and I watch this every October for the past couple years ever since I showed her, it is hilarious every time! We also love the video someone made of the highlights with Steiner's theme from FF9 in the background. Thanks so much for your sacrifice! I miss funday monday!
Man, I remember watching this back when I was still in college. Great memories. Thanks, Day[9] for making those years awesome. I miss the days that I can get to watch you live. Stay awesome dude. 👌
Oh man I can't believe it's happening! I just recently watched this video. I think like a month ago, I watched this abridged video again and I lost it. I remember watching this series and there was one point where you were running away from something and I literally ended up crouching on my chair, laughing but feeling the anxiety you had to my utter core.
Watched this live back in the day, was so scary and I loved it. Appreciate how you black out the paint canvas, was about go blind from all the sudden bright white 😄
Can’t believe it’s been 10 years… I watched this live and watched it again and again on UA-cam… Brings back memories of logging in early to get to chat 1 :)
NOW YOU UNDERSTAND o_o Dude, for years i've watched this stream for halloween, just like the first time. God damn I've laughed so fkn hard at you dude holy crap, THIS IS GOLD
Watching two versions of Sean, a decade apart, fall 100% for the exact same instance of the bug-on-the-screen gag, one right after the other... *chef's kiss*
I literally just watched that part and had to pause cause I was laughing my ass off.
Doesn't get any better!!!
13:50 timestamp
Now, wait for the next 10 years.
My face hurt then, and it is still sore now... the rollercoaster of emotions.
I remember watching this live! I can't believe it's been 10 years...
Me and you both! I remember my small crappy apartment I lived in while working a job out of the city. Day 9 every day. Wow. Time. Flies.
Hi there, OG watcher here too :)
Same, I was in school and watched it the day before my exam. Can't believe how long ago it is now...
Man! It. Was. AWESOME.
Same, wow time flies.
I watched this in 2013. It was the first time I was hanging out with a girl from work at my house and we could not stop laughing. Fast forward to today and we are now planning our wedding
That’s so wholesome, man. Congrats and all the best to the both of you
Damn, I actually did exact same, watching this in 2013 with a girl from work, first times hanging out with her. I did eventually attend her wedding few years later, as a guest xD
Let's get married, I guess
Sean you are absolutely invited to the wedding by the way 💛
Dude SAME! We were watching it chilling in bed back then lol
I remember crying with laughter at "Daniel, get out of the water!" watching this live. Cannot believe it has been this long!
Day9 getting scared by his own gameplay is the most wholesome thing I've ever seen. I binged the hell out of these Amnesia videos when he did them and I'm so glad he revisited them.
"I'm getting my bunny I don't give a shit", the line that made me a life long day9 fan 10 years ago. Glad to see Manfred is still around :)
Your the man Day 9. The amnesia videos were the original reason I subscribed and your personality keeps me committed. This video has me dieing
This is genuinely one of my favorite clips of your career. I've shown it to friends and such so many times because of how funny and charming it is. God bless you, here's to 10 more years.
The original Amnesia run is a core memory of mine. Love it and you so much.
Day9's laugh already makes me laugh, having a "laugh-echo" is just too much power for one man
If you haven't already, there's a 10 year old clip that you need to watch :)
Search "day9 laughing at himself laughing" and it's the first video
@@asdfffs I remember that one! :D Loved watching the funday mondays
How is this 10 years ago. I was subbed for this. I was one of the rope guys, the greatest like...group mind game I have ever seen a chat ever do. It was Amazing. I rewatch this like every other year. HERE WE GO!
10 years later and being a member of the rope gang is still my proudest moment as a day9 viewer
I will be adding this video to my Halloween Tradition XD
great idea for a tradition i gotta pick that up O:
I remember watching this live. It was a terrific experience, especially as I was trying to improve at SCII. You are a huge part of my adolescence.
40:29 best sequence indeed
Need a react to a react in another 10 years! Just don’t forget the rope! 10 years of amazing, can’t believe how time flew by.
And he will once again get spooked by the screen-cockroach
SEAN GET THE ROPE YOU FORGOT THE ROPE. good times. I remember staying up to 4 am in highschool to watch those streams.
I love you Sean, I ripped the series from youtube a long time ago to watch it anytime on my phone and currently it has survived 4 different phones
I've watched this video every year on Halloween for 10 years. So glad it's finally getting the attention it deserves.
8:03 Reminds me of the absolute classic "Day9 Laughing at Himself Laughing"
If you're new here. Please go watch it.
Good times
When I'm having really dismal days I go to that video. It's quite effective.
Oh man whenever I want a laugh, I STILL go back to these old videos. This was the start of my non-StarCraft content of yours and it was then that I decided that no matter what you streamed, I'd watch it.
46:46 Day9 lowkey showing off his years of micro skills by drawing the smoothest curved paths I have ever seen.
That's exactly what I thought!
54:33 the moment that broke day9
Btw thank you so much for revisiting this I was watching this live in stream 10 years ago and revisiting this now brought back so many memories, I'm loving it!
im glad the "impatient endless corpse" part killed him too. that was always my favourite bit.
Im crying right now at that part.
I watch this playthrough at least 3 times a year...
Thank you Sean!
Again.
100%. First time I saw that scene I was absolutely crying with laughter

I watch this play through every year as a Halloween tradition. This is legendary content 10 years and counting!!!
I needed this video on a deep, spiritual level. The original was the first bit of Day9 content I ever watched.
I loved this playthrough! Still go back and watch it every now and then.
This just fills me with joy and comfort on a childhood level.... Thanks for one of the best Memory Lane trips I've had in a LONG time. We love you Sean
Such a gem! I cried laughing 10 years ago, crying laughi now. My absolute favorite piece of watching someone playing anything! Thanks man!
You know, I never fully appreciated the editing watching this before... it was absolute gold.
Just starting this video and I will do nothing else until I have finished watching this.

Watching this playthrough is already fantastic as is, by Sean reacting to it 10 years later makes it so much better. Thank you for this entertainment today lol
The hardest I-ve laughed this year is him reacting to himself freaking out during the water monster part
One of the best playthroughs that I've ever seen. I watched it a couple times, it is great!
This was one of my favorite playthroughs to watch back in the day. I must've watched it like 10 times.
54:30 was gold! I laught so much, man
I have loved every horrifying moment you put yourself through for our entertainment. It wasn’t a waste, man. Made me smile on rough days many times :)
I still remember watching this. I was living far from home for the first time and taking classes in a school where I didn't fit in and felt pretty isolated. Some serious crap went down that I won't get into here and watching internet videos was pretty much my only escape from what had become a very difficult time. ❤️👍🏻
10 years ago now that is depressing, this still is one of the best playthroughs I've ever seen it was incredible live.
I've watched it a couple times since then, feeling scared and laughing and everything in between
Day[9]'s unrestrained laughter uplifts me every time I hear it
that moment the bug comes on screen and gets him a second time is great 13:59
10 years since the Amnesia playthrough... where has the time gone lol you literally blew my mind
Literally just went through my yearly watch of his Amnesia playthrough. This is something I've been wanting for years
This is by far my favourite streaming series I've watched. Cant believe its been 10 years already. Thank you so much, Sean!
I was failing university physics while Sean went through this, so in each our own ways we were terrified. The nostalgia! I remember waiting and waiting and waiting for each new stream.
Chat trolling Day[9] about the rope was beautiful
I remember watching this live with my sister and when the monster gets the door slammed on him in the sewer we collectively screamed with Day9 at like midnight in a full house. It is still to this day, the best playthrough of all time and I make it a ritual to rewatch every 2 years at least. My dream is for Day9 to play the newest Amnesia game that just recently came out and give me more endless hours of entertainment for the future.
These were the days. I loved watching it 10 years ago, still a gem!
Jesus Christ... 10 years. What a legendary stream :D
At that time, basically every streamer or youtuber played Amnesia, but Day9 was pretty much the only one where those scares were absolutely believable. You're the best, Sean!
I remember watching this live! I was at my lowest point in life back then, suffering from depression. Watching Day9 was like medicine for my soul.
Man, I miss being able to catch the show live. Sean laughing while Sean is laughing is just great - contagious humor and terror both.
State Of The Game, SC2, Quake Live, The GD Studio and Day9's Amnesia playthrough. Ah this was truly the Golden Era of Twitch
State of the game :( I miss incontrol
I can't believe its been 10 years man! Your content is so awesome and brings me back very fond memories. Learned so much from the Starcraft 2 videos.
I remember watching you live and being so delighted because my friends and I had just had our little meltdowns playing it
what a trip back in time.

Such a blast from the past man, thanks for this!
Gosh dude ! Every minutes of this was totally hilarious !!! Thanks for this !
Watched this on streamand immediately knew I would rewatch it on youtube as soon as it was uploaded, this is the best mood fixer you could ask for
Sean, I just want to thank you for your Amnesia play through.
You don't only inspire me but you inspired an entire generation with your streams and your educational content. Your castings were the best as well :)
One day I'll have to buy you a drink or something to thank you :)
Thank You Day9!
I can't believe you posted this! I love this SO MUCH!!! I used to watch you every single day back then! Greetings from a fan in Perú !
Still one of the best things I watched. I loved watching you play scary games I hope you start that back up at least every Halloween.
i watched this live too , was with you from the beginning Sean, thanks for all the laughter!
kinda wished you finished Subnautica too though :D
Oh wow, I remember when these videos came out the first time. It was legit my favourite youtube playthrough to follow at the time. Good memories.
Past Day9: "Does something"
Current Day9: *WHEEZE*
I watch the highlights probably every year. This brings another level to the entertainment. An hour well spent! Bonus points for ms paint!
Unironically go back and watch this playthrough several times a year. It's the funniest!
same!
“I wasn’t even doing things in HD then”
Claims he’s using a new HD camera in daily #100
Day[9] has changed
Easily one of my favourite playthroughs ever on UA-cam
This is one of my fav vods in the entire internet
