His performance Is outstanding
Nobody is talking about how there is no keyboard... it's a dirtier and angrier version of One Hundred Years, somehow much darker.
I think the synth added a scary kinda tension in the 80s, this is more like modernized, the twilight sad have a similar sound to this. But they’ve left out all of the gothic psychedelia
I saw them live in 2008 with this same line up and it was amazing. No keyboards - just loud guitars. The Cure really can rock.
Masterpiece
One of my all time favourites! Really gritty bleak post punk - definitely not Friday I’m in um er Love! ❤️😊👍
heartbreaking and powerfull live version
Damn, those crispy 16th notes…
The Cure are clearly a classic band. The Cure with Pearl Thompson on the guitar are several steps above the rest and eliminates the need for the keyboards in my humble opinion.
Such an excellent song. I love it with years
Simon is mesmerising....❤🔥❤🔥
Brilliant!!!
WTF! I didn't know The Cure played at Live 8!

@@darionbuck2715 I can't believe they didn't include this performance on the box set. This is a masterpiece by The Cure....and so apropos for Live 8.

Why does this video have so few views?
well, all the gamers are watching videos about other gamers are playing :D
it's not one of the most popular songs
This has to be the best live version ever.
Absolutely love this song, one of my favourites of all time from The Cure 🖤
Correct answer.
I was there and it was the best performance that I've seen in my life. 3 songs, perfectly executed for the time and place.
One Hundred Years is so far ahead of its time...
dark and dread, this album is something else!! so good and atmospheric!!
Fue la primera cancion que escuché de La cura, tenia como 12 años y me quedé p3nd3jo. Hasta hoy sigue siendo mi favorita 😍
Fantastic performance. First time seeing this. Where has this been? Thank you for posting!
The 8 Live Aid with The Cure was presented at the esplanade of the Castle of Versailles in France
Pearl Thomson at its best....
Косит под Глеба Самойлова в его лучшие годы.
^)))) Когда,выходила эта группа в мир со своими песнями - родители Глеба, только планировали его зачать:)))
@@sergeykroitoruofficial Это была ирония.
❤🌹🎸🎸😎
this is not the best performance. When you hear the 1992 version at le zentih... this is too bad
It’s cool though lol
I was there even for 5 songs, but what a performance. We got lucky to see the soundcheck in the afternoon where they played the whole song instrumental (yeah we could sing along in the small crowd). The crowd was very diversified coz there was a lot of pop artists like Shakira, Youssou N'dour, Dido and french mainstream music... The Cure didn't really fit to the line up, but that OHY version was actually the perfect one for the fight poverty theme since most of crisis are the consequences of wars. The classic slideshow of death, war, pain and cruelty on the screen was just perfect in front of that crowd. That moment is one of the most genuine piece of art i could witness coz of the context.
This is the best line up and this era of concerts is my favorite. No useless keyboards.
100 hundred years and disintegration both are my favorite the cure´s songs
Phenomenal guitar work from Smith.
Robert Smith Boy's Dont Cry
That was sad
Amazeballs!!
Spaccano di brutto 👹
I believe there used to be a Live 8 sound check posted with The Cure...anyone else see it?
