Every time josh casually mentions a Vietnamese food from my childhood, it makes my heart so warm. It also shakes me to my core how well he pronounces everything cause Vietnamese is HARD. love knowing josh and I have similar tastes from childhood lol
Arby's Loaded Potato Bites. So much better than just the plain potato wedges. They were stuffed with cheese and bacon and were served with a sour cream ranch. They were fantastic! RIP
Taco Time does exist! It started in Oregon and then a franchise owner in Seattle split from the corporate chain and created Taco Time NW, which has become its own thing only in Washington State. They use mostly Northwest local ingredients (as far as I know), they make their own hot sauce which is bangin, and they have the BEST tots in the game. Eater Seattle actually just did a piece on it. Their crisp burritos are like mini chimichangas that you can dip in ranch, hot sauce, etc. Washingtonians will die fighting for the respect Taco Time NW deserves.
They've had Taco Time in Nevada as well. Growing up, they had one in Winnemucca (super small city) and now the only one I know of is at a truck stop in Vegas.
Some places now have cream savers. Five below has the official product; and at dollar tree they have Coastal bay creamy delight that are blackberries and cream, peaches and cream, and strawberries and cream. I love a secret strawberry cream saver refresher (yes it’s just customized), it’s a strawberry açaí with no water and with vanilla sweet cream. Yes, if you can’t tell, I love strawberries and cream
the whole bit about if Taco Time is real or not is hilarious as a person from LA that moved to the pacific northwest. never heard of taco time, then i show up in the PNW and it’s somehow more popular than taco bell. they have the wildest list of things you can add to an item with things like sunflower seeds. wish there were more taco bells out here but i cant lie, their crunchy burritos are fire, next level.
ah, also the sierra turkey from panera bread.. it was my favorite sandwich on their menu! you can still make it i think with make your own type sandwiches there but it was such a good one and i got it every time i used to go with my mom to panera when i was a young teen, loved it!!!
McD’s already brought back one of my favorite breakfast items, the steak, egg and cheese bagel, love that thing. I do wish they would fry their pies again. Side note, as a whole I miss Pizza Hut, the whole red cup, salad bar, jukebox experience,so many birthdays spent there (there are definitely better pizzas places in my area, but the nostalgia is hard to forget)
The caramel apple empanada is up there for me, but I've found that Popeyes apple pies are a good substitute, they do fry their pies... As for my favorite discontinued fast food items, they're mostly from burger king... The angry whopper, the ch'king, and the twix pie were great. They also had funnel cake fries for a while that were delicious, and their old fries were definitely better than their current ones. Also, I'm bummed at KFC for discontinuing their Nashville hot sauce, and of course their potato wedges are missed and I liked their baked beans
OMGGGG THE FACT THAT YOU GUYS BROUGHT UP THE CARAMEL APPLE EMPANADAS. i have literally been commenting on taco bells tic tok to bring that back!!!! omg i loved it so much

For me, it's when Burger King had the "International" chicken sandwiches. They had the American, Classic, and Italian. You can still kind of recreate them, but I was obsessed with those when they came out in the mid 90s.
A couple core food memories I remember having from my childhood: 🥙 The Wendy's Chicken Caesar Pita. It was AMAZING! The super soft and warm pita, chunky chicken pieces along with the creamy caesar dressing and some coarsely shredded what I'm guessing was parmesan cheese? Absolutely incredible. 🍔 The Burger King BK Broiler (which may just now be the BK Chicken Whopper?) and the OG Chicken Tenders! 🍗 Those babies had the coarse bits of black pepper in the coating. SO tender and tasty. I would take those over nuggets from ANY other fast food place today. Those are probably my favorite two discontinued items. The loaded grillers from Taco Bell were also freaking amazing. Agreed! And for $1? A steal. Also the whole twins thing just takes me back to Austin Powers 🤦🏻♂ "TWINS, BASIL! TWINS!" 😂 They did actually have the Taco Bell lava sauce at some point this year I believe 🤔
The Santa Fe Chalupa. It was discontinued in the early 2000s and it was so amazingly delicious. It had black beans and corn and Santa Fe sauce...it was so good...
Taco Time is NOT just a SNL skit. It's an actual chain mainly found in the pacific northwest that still has over 300 locations. It's generally known as being garbage, though. Taco Time is like the second-rate fast food chain that moves into the buildings of better fast food chains when they're abandoned for newer buildings down the road. We almost never ate it when I was a kid.
Taco Time NW is the result of a franchisee breaking off from the corporation in Oregon and is its own thing in Washington. I’m not sure what it’s like in Oregon but we love it here.
Man, I used to love Taco Time - we went there a lot! Did it go downhill or something? I don't live in the PNW anymore so it's been a long while since I've been to one
OMG!!! Steak Fingers!!! My Elementary School used to serve these for lunch, they were my second favorite lunch item, narrowly beating out Chicken Pinwheels.
I've been signing a petition to bring back the Taco Bell XXL burrito for YEARS - on top of harrassing them on every IG post they make. It's war until they bring it back!!
Back in the early 2000’s McDonald’s had this breakfast burrito that was big, stuffed with egg and an entire sausage patty and American cheese and it was the best fast food breakfast burrito that ever existed. Always been bummed they discontinued it.
Taco Time is a chain throughout the Pacific Northwest and down through the Rocky Mountain states. It's pretty good, too! Kind of fills a niche between things like Taco Bell and places like Chipotle or Qdoba. They also have some excellent tater tots!
When they brought up Creme Savers, the first and only thing I thought of was that old Shockwave Flash online multiplayer mini-golf game with Creme Savers branding plastered all over it. Shoutout to whoever was responsible for developing that game, I played the heck out of it.
There are so many things I’m crying about that never got mentioned but only cuz I miss them so much. Wendy coffee toffee twisted frosty was the best dessert of its time
I could legit eat the breakfast sauce by itself and be in heaven. Around me, they have bagel sandwiches offered on and off including the steak one with onions, alas, no breakfast sauce :(
13:42 Actually, Dairy Queen brought Orange Julius back, in the Hudson Valley as far as I know. I don't know how far DQ reaches, but you can get an OJ at most, if not all locations.

Buffalo Chicken Pizza from Casey's General Store. I also love how they mixed the ranch and buffalo to make the sauce which is the best way. People need to get the memo.
If you’re creamsicle people you should definitely try Dominican morisoñando. It’s just sweetened orange juice (though we also make them with lime or passion fruit juice) stirred into iced milk. Proportions may vary greatly with personal taste and acidity of the juice. Also, make sure the milk has plenty of ice and stir continuously while adding the juice to avoid curdling.
I wish Taco Bell brings back the beef taco!! It’s like the bean taco. Just beef, onion, red sauce and cheese! So now I order a bean burrito minus beans add beef! It’s simple and amazing. I hate beans

the naked chicken chalupa and caramel apple empanada -- just took me back omg I forgot how amazing ICONIC these were 😭 special mention to the McWraps and southwest chicken salad. o7.

My little brother lives with my 15-year-old son and I and it’s “the taste of grandma’s house” for us. I JUST found them last week and HAD to get them. I encourage you- go get some! Mcdonalds - Southwest grilled chicken salad, Angus burger and Pizza KFC - garlic roast chicken Pizza 73 - fish bites Taco Time is real, my favourites are the salsa breakfast scrambler, hard shell beef tacos and chicken taco salad.
Aside from Grilled Stuft burrito from Taco Bell, and the burger buddies from BK, I miss the bagel breakfast sandwich at McDs, the market sandwiches from Arby’s, and the Griled Rosemary Chicken sandwich from CPK which I realize is not fast food but I want it back!!!!!
Anyone else remember chicken tenders from McDonald's. They bring them back and take them away all the time. They were so much better than the nuggets and I was a sad sad preteen when they went away lol
PSA: Arby’s has cracked the fast food fried breaded mac and cheese ball code. I got them expecting to be disappointed as I am with every other iteration (that I always try because they have so much promise), but these at Arby’s are 🔥🔥🔥
Growing up in IN, we had sesame chicken and general Tso’s, but we also had honey chicken which was my personal favorite, but we never really had orange chicken until panda became more popular in the state
those creme savers, we had a version of them in the UK called campino (imported from another country obviously) and they were amazing, still devastated they stopped selling them
My top 5 discontinued fast food items. In no particular order. - The Jalapeño Cheddar Burger from Wendy's. - The Big & Tasty from McDonald's. - The Cheddar Melts from McDonald's. - The Mushroom Swiss Angus Burger from McDonald's. - Arby's Potato Cakes.
I miss the chicken flautas from Taco Bell. I don’t even like flautas from restaurants, because they usually use chicken breast chunks, and they are dry and hard. 12:13 also: McDonald’s has regional pies, and the fried blueberry pie was amazeballs.🤗
When I was a kid Wendy’s had a chicken pita thing that was DELICIOUS. Idk what the dressing was but it wasn’t Mayo based(unlike basically every fast food dressing & sauce) and it was so tasty. I wish I could get ahold of it now
I miss the McDonald’s snack wrap so much. They’re still available in other countries idk why they won’t give it back to us.
I love that Burger King and KFC recently came out with their version of them as a big F U to McDonald’s lol
@@starlitteredI went to kfc the other day unfortunately they only had fried version
I believe McDonald's is bringing them back in 2024 or 2025

The caramel apple empanada from Taco Bell was fantastic, especially warmed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I went to Taco Bell recently and they told me they hadn’t had that for years 😔

It's not a major food item, but those 90s McD cookies that were shaped like the McDonald's characters hit hard. Those were so good to munch on!
The animals crackers from Aldi taste very similar! I was so happy when I discovered that 😂
I still have a few of those boxes. I’ve thought of selling them but I can’t bring myself to. There is definitely a market for expired food.
Taco Time is a PNW fast food chain. We have it up here in WA state. It’s one of my favorites. Crisp beef burrito with ranch and hot sauce is fire.

PSA: Arby’s has cracked the fast food fried breaded mac and cheese ball code. I got them expecting to be disappointed as I am with every other iteration (that I always try because they have so much promise), but these at Arby’s are 🔥🔥🔥
Growing up in IN, we had sesame chicken and general Tso’s, but we also had honey chicken which was my personal favorite, but we never really had orange chicken until panda became more popular in the state
Creme Savers were brought back! I bought some last week 😅
those creme savers, we had a version of them in the UK called campino (imported from another country obviously) and they were amazing, still devastated they stopped selling them
He said, "I dont watch cartoons.".
Josh...
My guy.
You ARE a Cartoon.
We love it.
dude the loaded potato griller from taco bell was so good
Taco Time is real! The crispy bean burrito with Mex-fries is where it’s at!
Bro, it's the Santa Fe Chalupa! It had corn and black beans and I think the chipotle sauce that they still have today. So good...
They brought it back for a week at the beginning of the year, but I loved Taco Bell’s Double Decker!! Wish she was still around😮💨
Taco Time is all over Canada hahahaha.
