Try a double fisherman's knot, it gets the ends of the rope coming out at opposite ends which I would believe would be more comfortable

been doing this for years, use d-loop instead.... then you have spare :D

Try shooting without the wrist sling. You won’t miss it and it can slow you down. Most overrated thing on a bow.
