His signature move the Raging Demon was made one of his fatalities in that game which is fitting of course. To make it a bit easier to pull off you can do Akuma's taunt as a means to have him hold still as you do the input.
Sawada was one of the platoon officers during Guile's speach. He also shows up in the USA Network SF cartoon with the same Katana move set and hated Guile's guts cause he was told Guile went rogue after the movies events

***** No, what I mean is the effort to put things special moves (like hadoukens and shoryukens) and how they kinda do the same thing as the original game (like Akuma's Shakunetsu Hadouken doing three hits).
If you really examine the basic moves that they had to film compared to Mortal Kombat's basic moves and look at all the extra attacks each character had, it must have been more tedious to make this game than the original Mortal Kombat. They could really have put the game higher if they took extra time to improve the sound effects and used the SF2 Music instead of using this crappy music.
The only reason we played it here is cause Raul Julia, a beloved Puerto Rican actor, played Bison in this fiasco of a movie. He died soon afterwards. He is still remembered here in PR to this day.
I think it was popular for at least a month in my place, then better games came out and it just ended as a huge electricity hog and was taken away in less than half a year

Max was dead on about the reception that this game had in Arcades. I only ever saw this Arcade game in 2 locations in my neighborhood. One was a Mexican restaurant that had another Arcade which was Killer Instinct and the second being a Car Service base that had SF 3: 3rd Strike, Marvel Vs. Capcom 1 and Kabuki Klash - no one played Street Fighter: The Movie, The Game in either location. I also never met a single person that owned the game on Sega Saturn and I had plenty of friends who owned Saturns growing up.

Fun Fact - The actor portraying Akuma is Ernie Reyes Sr. He is the father of Ernie Reyes Jr. (most notably from TMNT Secret of the Ooze). They both acted in a movie together, Surf Ninjas. The set and costume designer from Surf Ninjas also worked on Street Fighter The Movie. They both use the same weird blue camouflage outfits (as seen on Guile in SF and the 'ninjas' in Surf Ninjas). It is unknown if that person who worked on both films was how Ernie Reyes Sr got attached to play Akuma in the game, as he does not appear in the movie.
I think the game looks exactly like the characters in the movie I mean I know it's not all the best graphics but damn that's not bad for back then, the detail on the stages and the movements of the people look real I mean Van Damme looks awesome.

I had this game unfortunately, cos my dad was a Hardcore streetfighter 2 fan, after we had the cabinet in our shop, but didn't know much more about the game and thought this was a great idea lol...

Fun Fact - The actor portraying Akuma is Ernie Reyes Sr. He is the father of Ernie Reyes Jr. (most notably from TMNT Secret of the Ooze). They both acted in a movie together, Surf Ninjas. The set and costume designer from Surf Ninjas also worked on Street Fighter The Movie. They both use the same weird blue camouflage outfits (as seen on Guile in SF and the 'ninjas' in Surf Ninjas). It is unknown if that person who worked on both films was how Ernie Reyes Sr got attached to play Akuma in the game, as he does not appear in the movie.

I think the game looks exactly like the characters in the movie I mean I know it's not all the best graphics but damn that's not bad for back then, the detail on the stages and the movements of the people look real I mean Van Damme looks awesome.
